I've been using Beam Speed for 4 years. At first it was slow and i lost service a couple of times. then they updated their equipment. Haven't had a problem since. I have the middle range package I'm happy. My computer and phone can all run when my TV is streaming. Have never had a problem with getting help and the service men are very thorough and polite. read more

I don't know how this company stays in business. We have NEVER received a bill from Beamspeed, not by mail, not by email, not a bill of any kind... EVER. About a year ago they shut off my service a month after my internet was turned on. When I called they said my account was delinquent. I let them know I had never received a bill. I have all my info and requested a paper bill monthly. I never received any. I have occasionally sent a few hundred here and there and called only to be told I had credit. Today my service is shut off AGAIN. I called and only got a recording to leave messages. This is the most ridiculous "business" EVER!!! I'm thinking they won't be in business too long with this type of business practices. Might be best to use AT&T or TMobile wireless. read more

If you're feeling nostalgic for the 80's and miss the dial-up like slow connection speeds and frequent disconnects then this is the internet provider for you. However, if you don't want crappy connection speeds, completely unreliable connections with frequent and lengthy disconnects and customer service to match, then I suggest you go elsewhere. I really hope these guys have a backup plan for when Starlink finally becomes available because they're going to need new jobs. I've had them here 4 or 5 times in less than a year to fix my connection and it just gets worse every time. read more

Update 12/29/2019 Still the worst service ever. Can not wait for the alternative coming soon to Yuma. read more

I've had Beamspeed since November. I've had more outage days than days that my internet has worked. I be had difficulties getting through to technical service. When I do they only temporarily fix it. They finally stated it's probably a problem with the equipment they gave me. So they scheduled an appointment. Ten days out from my last outage. Today I called to confirm my appointment and to see if they could give me an eta. They said they moved me back a day. They did not notify me of this postponement. I had moved all my appointments for this day. I ask why they wouldn't be here as scheduled appt. it was because they gave my appointment to a new customer and had to set them up. My question shouldn't you take care of the customers you have first.? I am beyond frustrated. So I would NOT recommend BeamSpeed! read more

We are part time clients of beamspeed and it has been BRUTAL. We signed up Jan 3rd and have not had a full day of service? Every evening the service is non existant. It starts failing at 8pm and has been down daily from 10pm to 8am. We have had a tech out 3 times and he replaced modems each time. Still shoddy internet service. I understand some servers have issues but this is outrageous. We had to recorded our outages and although we paid $40. a month for unlimited mid range service we only recieved service 40% of the month??? We will be looking for an alternate provider in 2019. read more

We signed up for internet for our 4 month stay in Yuma, AZ. It worked fairly well until this week. All along, there has been a fair amount of buffering when watching Netflix, etc. & overall speed doesn't match the highest speed that we signed up for, but we have lived with that. Fast forward to this week...we have had no internet for 3 days. We left messages for tech support for a day & a half with no response. I finally called & pressed"1" for billing questions, got a person & told her our story. Tech support called back an hour later. They had us restart the system again. When that didn't fix the problem, they said a technician will be out on Tuesday, that's 4 days from now. This is not acceptable! read more

Two days ago my computer slowed way down, my phone wouldn't open certain programs and my TV stopped streaming. I did everything I could do with the streaming service and it kept saying my internet connection was bad. Yesterday I talked to beam speed and they said there was nothing wrong with their connections. Today I called them and told them that both my phone and my television were saying that it was the internet connection. They checked it and said oh yeah there's a problem and we'll have a technician come out 3 days from now. So I go six days with no TV, very little computer and marginal telephone. Do they care? I don't think so. read more

Worst company for service. Pay for gold and internet is off half ot the time brcause their towers are down or under maintenance. That is the answer i get for the past year. Only reason i dont switch is because dont have access tk other company where we are at YET! read more

I pay $75 a month for 25mb connection that I don't get at all. I've been having issues for 2 weeks now and at first they blamed my router. I reconfigured my router multiple times still same issues. So I decided to directly connect my PC to their modem. Still having the same issues. All they do is reset the modem and tell you its fine now. That works for 5 minutes and the connection drops out again. Now they say it will be 2 more weeks before they can send someone out. That's a whole month of paying for internet that doesn't work.... YEAH DONT GET INTERNET FROM THEM!!! read more

Would not recommend beam speed to anyone. The young ladies up front are great. They set me up appointment to get service set up. That work with my work schedule (which was between 2 & 4) I got a call at 12:30pm so I called back to confirm my appointment and who ever answered the phone (had hit 3 in there little phone service) I was in formed that they work out and it gets hot so I should have been scheduled between 12 & 4 and if I did not get right home they would have to reschedule he then called said they where rescheduling me for Wednesday some time between 11 and 2. I really want to know why a company in Yuma AZ thinks Someone should stay home from work so they don't get hot. There are lots of people who work outside me being one if them worse customer service rude Hugesnet come out to day to set up service read more

I have had Beamspeed for 3-4 years now, a bit on the slow side but still good for residential purposes. I live out in the middle of no where and I am glad that there is a internet service provider that comes out this far for such a low price. I sometimes have issues running online gaming but it will get the job done. I will continue using their services because the associates are friendly and are willing to help you! read more

If you need exercise for the day, this is the one to use. You are constantly up and down resetting the modem throughout the day, just to get spotty service. I've tried this for 5 months now and am sick of it. read more

Rural Brawley pays a premium for horrible unreliable service. Constantly offline and takes forever to get signal. Would not recommend and extremely unsatisfied with their service. read more

I logged onto yelp for the first time ever so I could hopefully warn folks away. Beam Speed is terrible. Internet service is slow and spotty at best. On multiple occasions, I have lost service altogether during a critical moment. Customer service is unhelpful, and their techs will come out without calling first after promising that they will. If you want good internet look elsewhere, because Beam Speed doesn't even deserve to be called mediocre. I'd give zero stars if it was an option. read more

Is this company still in business? We have no internet, their phones both in Yuma and Calexico are disconnected. It seems they took the money and ran. Horrible company, horrible customer service. read more

Been using beamspeed 5 years Beamspeed went down, or shut down Jan 1 ,19.Its still down on the 5th, it will be off for a week or more, nobody knows. According to the company,They say they will not charge for the service while it is out, . Hope that stays correct, I give them 1 star, becuse I put the beamspeed stuff in a drawer to avoid clutter, If They do start working again, I don.t plan on rebooting anymore, been doing that for 5 days when it beamspeed was down. How will I tell when to plug it in instead of letting it wither and shut off?well, I won't.I was never good at running a company. But I will put beam speed on hiatus, or cancel and give the ZTE hot spot a try, thinking ots more expensive, but it works. read more

We used Beamspeed more than four years, and were very happy with their internet service. The last couple of years we were on their fastest plan, and it was quite adequate for everything we needed for our home business and personal interactions. There were only a few down times, and Beamspeed solved the issues very quickly. The office personnel and field technicians were attentive yet professional. If you live in parts of the county where you can't get cable, Beamspeed is an excellent option. We were very thankful they existed when we needed them. read more

I have had Beamspeed for about 10 years, andtheonly reason I have stayed is there is nothing else available , where I am in the county's , and they know it because when I have called to have my spotty partime internet,, the tell me,, it is what it is,, so take it or leave it. I pay 69 dollars for their top tier internet, ,, All I can say is if oppertunity comes,, I'd jump from them in a heartbeat, So as a warning,, look elsewhere for your internet needs ,, you'll be glad you did,, read more

Took about 40 minutes to download yelp so I could write this review. Do yourself a favor and don't get their service. What a joke!

Horrible service. First off parent have been trying to contact them all day Wednesday because they had no service now for 3 weeks. No answer. Secondly their overall speed. Horrible. I've seen snails move faster. Then to add on to that they tell you that you need to upgrade your equipment. Then when you do they tell you that you need to upgrade your package and still nothing read more

As a part time customer of beamspeed they have decent internet for an ok price. The issue I have is with customer service! The front office doesn't seem to know what they are doing and are really not interested in customer service! Tech support seems fairly nice but if you ask an in depth question about their equipment they really do not know the answer. My internet seems to just stop at times and they have no idea how to find out why. All tech support can do is say "the status is operational". At this moment that might be true but what does the cable modem log say when it wasn't working? For that they have no clue! Tech support would only appear to be very superficial! read more

Moved service to our new house and it was all so easy. Tech David Cain, was so helpful and offered good advice and helped us out a lot. David was just Awesome, and so is the service of BeamSpeed. Give them a call, we did and we are 100% satisfied. D and S Anderson, Yuma AZ read more
