Went for dinner on a week night with a group of four. Sat a a high table in the bar area. Didn't notice much about the ambiance but I was comfortable. We were sited in immediately and ordered drinks. Wife got a margarita which wasn't the best or worst she has ever had. Prefer with freshly squeezed lime juice instead of the mix which is what they serve. Menu was nice with really good prices. I ordered the steak sandwich and the wife had coconut shrimp. Friends split a shrimp scampi. They all enjoyed their meals. Mine was huge and very good. Service was very good as well. Nice place to go for a good meal while in Cadillac. read more

I went with my parents to this restaurant for a night out the price was not worth it since it was more pricier the I got a root beer with ice and it tasted like Rusty like pennies and I don't like that so that kind of didn't make me feel good and then I had chicken alfrado all and that was pretty good but I would not eat there again. the service was pretty good they gave us the stuff that we needed and we could reach them pretty easily, the ambience it had a moody light you know darker light and it's definitely a 3 out of 5. :) read more

In town one night and looking for good local spot....glad I found the Timbers. Great vibe. Good food. Good conversation (to the couple from Houston...have fun in TC and the dunes! We stopped by Timber's Restaurant on our way home from up north to grab a quick lunch after seeing the high rating. This place is super cozy with a nice up north vibe. We had a delicious hamburger served on a potato bun served with crispy potato wedges. It was very flavorful. The bartender, Heather waited on us. She was great. Very friendly, personable with a good sense of humor. We will be back the next time we are passing through the area. read more

Reviews were very helpful in assisting our decision to eat dinner here. The menu had a nice variety and was fairly priced. Portions are very ample and tastefully prepared. The special bourbon sauce on my pork tenderloin was especially good. My friend had the 16-oz prime rib that was tasty. Our server Mel(ody) was very helpful, attentive and quite knowledgeable of the menu, not to mention eager to suggest additional items. They have a good selection if micro-brews on draft along with standard well drinks and an array of inviting ice-cream concoctions. Overall we had a great visit here. Fantastic meal 10/13/17 Janine was our server and a delight. Made a special meal even better with her as our server. Deep fried mushroom appetizer 2-16oz king cut Prime Rib, baked potatoes, fresh dinner bread and coke slaw. EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC! Service was great. I love a meal served correctly and cooked perfectly. Been 12 years since last visit. We had 2 disappointing meals and wrote you off. Glad to see mushrooms are hand dipped again and prime rib is actually prime!! Thank you again. We returned again for another wonderful meal. Janice was our server tonight and didn't let us down. Wonder service, cold drinks, hot food, prepared perfect. Everything I like! 2 stars for the prime rib, but I'll bump the review up to 3 stars considering the good pricing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As a fan of steaks and prime, rib, we decided to stop by The Timbers on the way back down from being Up North. They've got a nice wood bar where you can pull up a stool and grab a drink. The interior is emblematic of a woodsy log cabin - certainly appropriate for a restaurant called The Timbers. Bread Service The bread was homemade and had just been baked. Nicely airy and yeasty, but a bit dry. House Salad ($2.49 with entree The GF had a salad with her entree and it had a nice array of ingredients. It came with homemade croutons and a sweet berry vinaigrette. Bistro Pasta ($12.99) Penne, alfredo, cheddar, parmesan, topped with bread crumbs The GF's main was essentially an alfredo mac n cheese. The top of the pasta achieved a nice crispy texture. The innards were incredibly creamy, with a nice array of juicy grilled chicken on top. This was mac n cheese on steroids and could have easily fed four. Prime Rib ($21.99 Paul Bunyan Cut / $19.99 Timber Cut) I went with the Paul Bunyan cut of the prime rib, which was at least an inch thick. Unfortunately, the prime rib missed the mark for me. The beef was unfortunately much too chewy, indicative of being roasted for not much time at all. The au jus was definitely needed. The fries were crispy and creamy though and I was able to finish most of the GF's pasta. Overall, The Timbers missed the mark for me. If the cuts of beef were better executed, I'm sure this would be a great place to get a nice steak or prime rib. The portions are certainly over the top, especially considering the pricing. read more

What a wonderful find. This restaurant located off of 115 is worth the stop. Service was phenomenal. Our waitress was spot on with her suggestions on what to order as this was our first time here. The fried mushrooms are delicious, the serving size is big and so were the mushrooms. We also ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, homemade what more can I say. The sauce that came with it..... fabulous! It was also homemade. Now our boys went with the Triple Threat burger. They were completely in awe of it's greatness. Now, do not expect it to come on a burger bun. This burger is placed in white bread that is toasted. So, if you are not particularly fond of a burger that way you may want to go with another choice on the menue. Only one of my boys finished this dish. My daughter and I opted for the pizza Margherita. We should have went with the small size since the large left us with 3 pieces to take home. It came with 9 pieces, again the homemade sauce gave this pizza a wonderful flavor. The crust was crisp and the fresh basil and tomatoes were spectacular. The hubby went with the prime rib.... the lumber jack portion. Thank goodness, this was a lot of food. He had it prepared medium as suggested by our waitress since she said that it would come out more medium rare..... which it did. I had to have few bites. So tender and delicious, and with the au'jus sauce mmmmm good. I would highly recommend that if you are in the area and you are looking for somewhere to eat that you try them out. read more

I was on the way from Sleeping bear to Detroit, feel lucky that I stopped by and had lunch here. Friendly and helpful service, introduced what they have on the menu very well, took good care of me. Got the pasta, it was great and huge!! It was as big as bear's face. It was penne pasta with tomato sauce... Or italian red sauce, not sure, and with lots cheese! It was delicious! The many versions of shrimp that we ordered were cooked perfectly. The mushrooms were fantastic with a big portion. The fish was a bit mushy, but it was take out so I'm sure it's better in person. We look forward to eating inside in the future. read more

After an all day trip to Caberfae, this was a perfect stop to get some dinner. They have a very homey feeling to their restaurant by adorning the wall with all kinds of antique stuff such as a metal tricycle and a huge saw. The food was delicious. We got cheesy bites as the appetizers which came with salsa. The bites were indeed very cheesy without being over the top. Their small margherita pizza was was enough for two meals and came with ripe tomatoes and just the right amount of cheese. Their beer selection was also very good. Our party of 3 ordered the pasta Alfredo, bourbon salmon and Timbers fish as well as the salted caramel martini, and a dessert to share. Everything was FANTASTIC, and the service was great. I've been to Timbers a total of two times in my life. It's a very nice quality restaurant that i wish i could afford to visit more often! The food is the best in town with a great welcoming atmosphere and the service is second to none. We have made this our definite destination dining spot on the way north. We timed it just right to get a booth. Staff seemed a little stressed as all three waitresses were spread throughout the restaurant. The host was handling the bar and also cleaning tables. Don't know if they were lacking a staff member but they could have used one more. Our meal was delicious as usual. However, my partner ordered a rare prime rib and when it came out at 6:15 it was medium. He decided to send it back and ordered the Cajun special of the evening. It did not disappoint. He also tried the lobster corn chowder, very good. My mushroom pasta I had topped with rare prime rib, however it was more medium rare. We both love rare beef. I would definitely order the pasta again. The homemade pesto was super good! It was good to see they offer local beers and wine. We will be back. read more

So on our way to the Leelanau Peninsula we had to stop in Cadillac for dinner and chose the Timbers restaurant along M115. It was amazing, not only did our waitress attend us professionally but she also looked amazingly like Audrey Hepburn. She was very attentive and knowledgeable and all our food came out quickly and was chilled to perfection, or hot fresh from the oven. I couldn't have asked for a better meal or better service... we shared the white fish dinner with cranberry and almonds and a loaded baked potato and fresh Michigan asparagus which all of it tasted like it was just plucked from the lake or the ground today! One entrée was plenty for two people but we also shared an appetizer and a salad, which were both equally amazing!! You should try the crab and shrimp dip and also if you are a fan of loaded baked potatoes definitely go for that! read more

This place is a hopping local place. Food and atmosphere are great. If you are looking for good food but want to avoid the chains, this is the place. My husband had the cherry almond walleye. Nice golden brown sauté. I don't like fish and I thought it was excellent. He gives it five stars. I had the cherry chicken. It was good but a little too sweet. Prime rib soup was out of this world! I don't live in Cadillac. Whenever I'm in the area I try to eat here. Getting a good prime rib anywhere seems to be a rarity. Let me tell you, The Timber's has the best prime rib. I was just there and ordered the 16oz cut medium rare (the only way to order it) at 8pm on a Friday and they brought it to me in 5 to 10 minutes (super fast). Some restaurants would be sold out or may not have medium rare by 8pm. It was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly cooked. The side of asparagus was perfectly cooked as well. The baked potato, salad, and sautéed mushrooms were also delicious and perfect. The meal was heaven. I HIGHLY recommend The Timber's. You should eat there. Well this is another chain restaurant that gets its food from the macro frozen food vender. Every plate we've ever ordered has come straight out of the microwave. If you have no standards then dig in - you'll think its great because you paid a lot for it, but its really shit.
