Subaru EJ25 rebuilt engine for $1450 purchased on 4/18/17, engine died and knocking on 5/14/17 after only 80 miles put on this engine. Heads were rebuilt by Area Automotive & Machining 9/9/16 and ran fine, then developed a rod bearing going bad causing rod noise on start up only, no metal ever drained in 8 months I drove it prior to having enough to buy a rebuilt block from Rocky Mountain Roos. Upon draining oil there was a huge amount of shiny fine metal glitter clearly visible, and metal found in pan after they tore it down. They blamed my used heads, which would obviously ruin my heads and old block if the metal came from them, and never drained in oil changes. They claimed somehow that metal sat in heads for 8 months then all ran through the new block all of a sudden in 80 miles, so wouldn't refund or stick by his 1 year warranty and gave me 3 choices: *Pay them to put block together they said nothing was wrong with, but had metal in oil pan *Take $300 and a loss and leave them the engine *Pick up the disassembled block crank pistons rods bearings in a box It would've took them 1-2 hours to find the problem and put it back together, keep a lifetime Subaru owner as a customer, get good word of mouth spread about their work and warranties, instead they screwed me over for a quick $1450 and a whole lot of bad mouthing to every Subaru owner I know. Not a trustworthy shop at all. Also have a car lot, so i definitely wouldn't buy a used Subaru from this establishment. The tech they have named Aaron is super knowledgeable and friendly, he deserves to work for a better shop and owner who knows how to conduct business in this Subaru loving market here in Colorado!! So if anyone's looking for a awesome Subaru builder/mechanic you need to get ahold of Aaron there and make him a offer he can't refuse.

I had done my research by checking the car's fair trade in value on Kelly Blue Book. They offered me $1200 for trade in when KBB stated average was $4k for "good" condition. To me, $1200 is what a junkyard would pay you to scrap the car for the metal. I was VERY shocked so I would *NOT* recommend trading your car into CarMax! However, I did test drive a new-ish Pathfinder (2018 I believe) and although it was a nice, comfortable ride, it just wasn't like the old Nissans. I had serious doubts the Pathfinder could perform off road like the 2008 predecessor. It's more like a minivan now. I'm sure Toyota is happy since they no longer have real competition in that space! Felipe helped me and he was awesome! Great communicator. We looked at a couple other models, but in the end, the Pathfinder was really just not for me anymore after that test drive. I ended up test driving a Jeep Rubicon at a different Carmax location and fell in love with that instead! Do yourselves a favor and ask for Felipe at this location! He's a great guy! It's not his fault Nissan doesn't make awesome 4WDs anymore. ;) But he DOES know his cars, he has exceptional manners and he is honest. I would give Felipe 5 stars, but I knocked this rating down one star to 4 stars because of the ridiculous trade in offer.

The rest of the experience while me and my 14 year old daughter sat here for an hour waiting for my husband to arrive was a joke. We weren't offered water, nobody asked if we needed anything, nothing. All we got to hear was vulgar comments amongst the car salesmen and the trash they talked either about customers who walked out the door or who they were on the phone with. Then walks in my husband and immediately Roberto comes over and says hey everything good man, you need anything and immediately offers him a water and asked if he preferred it to be cold or room temperature and then looked at me said oh do you need anything after I sat there by myself with my daughter for over an hour! Just based on lack of customer service and the fact they talked so vulgar with customers in the showroom is an automatic strike for me and I will never be back to purchase a future vehicle again.

But i have had really awful interactions with both sales and parts here at AutoNation West Subaru. When I contacted sales, they just dropped the ball entirely. Literally did not respond to my email. It was very uncharacteristic compared to literally every other car dealer I've ever spoken to in my entire life. Needless to say, I bought my new car elsewhere. When i called parts to inquire about custom wheel covers, they couldn't tell me the part number of the wheel cover I wanted to buy and asked me, "Do you even know how big your tires are?" I saw the listing for a vehicle that matched my stringent criteria and made an inquiry. It was at Planet Honda. The whole experience was first rate. The usual auto responses arrived in my inbox and then I was contacted by a real person. Oty was beyond helpful throughout the whole process. She sent me a video tour of the car. I immediately scheduled a test drive for the next day. Upon arrival at the dealership, I was greeted with a smile. All of my questions were answered. I was allowed to take photos of the vehicle and test drove it. Upon my decision to purchase it, with details of my bank auto loan in hand, the steps to come were easy and forthcoming. Oty is an excellent and kindly Sales Consultant. I got cookies and bottled H2o while I waited for the paperwork and final detailing. The whole process took a total of about three hours. I drove off the lot with an extended 48 month premium warranty to boot, and it all fell within my budget. There was no pressure at any time. Mr. Dobrosi, the Business Director, was kind and knowledgeable. He was efficient and even commented on my wicked cool style. Service with a personal touch. The dealership was clean and the staff were all friendly. I highly recommend Planet Honda in Golden, Colorado for all your car needs. Try them out. You'll be glad you did.

None from this dealership however. My wife and I were looking to buy a new CRV. Needless to say after taking a trip to Denver our first stop was planet Honda. I Wasn't sure what we wanted but knew we liked Honda. After sitting down with them we asked for a test drive, that process went well. I asked about a trade in. Was told hyuandi dealer next door was under same owner but different management so trade in would be different is we looked at a Tucson also. Thought ok let's look at numbers, the advertised non negotiation dealership. They looked at our Honda for trade. Came back with a $500 offer for trade. Well the engine has noise, seat is broke none of which were accurate. We will trade it on auction is what we were told. Said I get it we didn't expect much but 195k miles no mechanical at least wanted a slightly better deal. Went to Hyandi next door was told the offer from Honda was the offer for trade. Not what Honda told us. Guy said since ownership was the same the offer is the same. Again not what Honda told us. Went to carmax and they offered us 2700 out the door. Chevy offered us 4000, we went with a Rav 4 and ended up getting 3500 for trade in. They said vehicle looked good minus the little cometic damage we knew about already. Was seriously disappointed in planet Honda after all this would have been our 4th Honda in a row. Would consider other Honda dealers but not here.

I called up Mike at Golden Tire Warehouse, and got consistently great service. We exchanged a few phone calls over a few days, to figure out the tire size I needed, to see when they'd be in his store (the next day) and then to have me come in and get 'em installed. Mike was always proactive and friendly, and it took about an hour to swap out the tires. They even have coffee and fast wi-fi (~18mbps, FWIW) in the shop, so I could work while getting the new tires mounted. The last guy working on my tires in Maryland gummed up the lug nuts, and Mike fixed the fixable ones and replaced the one that wasn't fixable. Also - I drive a 2005 Corolla. Not what first pops to mind when you think "a great snow vehicle". With the new tires I went from slipping and sliding and generally hating life to feeling super solid and confident while driving in very cold weather with lots of snow. New tires are way cheaper than buying a 4wd vehicle, or dealing with the insurance premiums from an accident. (Or worse). They ran me ~$675, installed with tax. Worth every penny. All-in-all, I highly recommend Golden Tire Warehouse.
