Waited 45 minutes for this for my daughter and it was extremely painful. Soo jerky and jolty. I get it's a kid ride but it wasn't worth the wait that's all

Another great visit to Knotts! I brought my grandson and kids for Knotts spooky farm and we had a…read moreblast! It was very crowded and unusually warm for a late October day. But it was a great time. I will say it does keep getting more expensive Every time we come and the cost of food and drinks is more than Disneyland. Either way I had such an amazing time. I'm looking forward to coming back again.

Had a terrible experience on October 10, 2026. We had four people in our party and went into the…read morestandby line for Xcelerator. The guy working at the merge between the regular line and the "fast lane" in the afternoon at 3:30 PM was the absolute worst. I understand that people in the fast lane have priority over riders but you don't just let 25 to 30 minutes of people pass and let the regular lane on standby. There would be a few groups that would scan in via wristband or with their piece of paper which is fine but there were so many times where the line ends and the guy working would wait 2 to 3 minutes without letting anyone from the regular line go on. The line to get on the actual ride wasn't long at all until it got very full with 30 minutes of fast lane riders which was about 80 to 100 people easily. Once we got to the actual standby line, it started drizzling a little bit so they closed down the ride for who knows how long. We waited and waited even after the rain subsided but they still didn't open up. We waited over 30 minutes and decided to leave the line through the front which was the only way out. After about 10 minutes, they decided to open up the ride which was very frustrating. Two of us came back at 4:50 PM. I'm a tall guy but I was within the height limit. I know this because I've been on this ride a few years ago without any problem at all. My friend and I waited almost 30 minutes and it was finally time for us to get on. As soon as I get in the car, some teenager working there with blond hair demands that I get up so they could measure me. I asked if I can take off my HOKAS which add an inch to my height to which he declined and told me to get out. If I was approached by a Knott's employee anytime within the hour of me waiting my first time around or the 30 minutes my second time to check my height, I would've been okay with that. Instead, I waited almost an hour and a half total only to be kicked out in a rude manner after I got comfortable. My neck also fit the headrest with plenty of room to spare so there was no problem there. My biggest complaint is to the young Hispanic male working the merge that's probably in his early to mid 20s. He was 100% not following line protocol because why would you let 20 minutes of "fast lane" holders through without even batting an eye to the regular standby line even when nobody was coming through? At one point, there were a few guests with wristbands that didn't scan but he let them through anyways. Also, your ride wait times are not near accurate. There were a few rides in Camp Snoopy with a 5 minute wait time and they all took 25 to 30 minutes. The log ride said 60 minutes but it took less than 10 minutes. Most rides said 10 to 15 minutes but actually was a 30 to 40 minutes standby wait time. Knott's is one of those theme parks that only hire incompetent teenagers and kids in their early 20s that know nothing about customer service or safety. Since the Knott's owner merged with Six Flags, I expect lots of changes. First off, paying $40 for parking for it to be way off property past the hotels is insane. The $60 preferred parking isn't good either because it's still extremely far away. Your employees are absolute garbage and need to learn basic communication skills. Lastly, the safety equipment for your rides are all trash. Every single ride needs a renovation because there's rust everywhere and it's very bumpy. Spend more money and go to Disneyland or an actual theme park and not this hot garbage. Easily the worst theme park in the area.

It was definitely a lot smaller than I remembered now that I am an adult, but it was truly the perfect size theme park for toddlers. It's nice that pretty much everything is included, just a couple of things that cost extra, like food to feed the animals, souvenirs, arcade games, but mostly everything we wanted to check out was included. Our kids are 3 1/2 and 5 and pretty much enjoyed all the rides! The roller coaster is a little rough, but I think it just depends on your kid, since my younger one really enjoyed it. They have food available to buy in the center of the park and tables all around, making it really easy to just take a break to eat something. I like that everything is really close to each other, so you don't feel like you're walking around a maze to get around. I wouldn't even bother with a stroller because everything is so close to each other. The tickets are the same price for anyone above one year old. I do wish the kids tickets were a little bit cheaper, but other than that, I thought it was a pretty fair price, considering you'd probably pay the same amount for a similar type wristband for rides at a fair for example, and at least younger kids can ride all of these ones. You probably wouldn't be able to spend a whole day here because of the size but an afternoon or a morning is plenty, especially for this age range.

Review #1010 2026-080…read more The Boardwalk Games & Arcade features different interactive games as well as an arcade with the latest & most popular games. The latter was reimagined in 02/2025 as The Factory Floor Arcade to feature a 1920s factory theme with 70 games & virtual reality attractions: Godzilla & Rilex Coaster. Players can redeem their winnings at the redemption counter that's stocked with prizes. The outdoor area is lined with traditional midway carnival games of skill & chance: 3-Point Challenge, Beach Ball Bust, Boardwalk Hoops, Bonkers, Dune Buggy Dash, Gearhead Knock Down, Hang Time Challenge, Hi-Striker, Ring Toss, Strike Out, Surf's Up, The Guessing Game (Knott's operator either guesses age or weight within a specific margin to win a prize), Woodstock's Birdbath (this is a "winner every time" game), etc. Both require additional fees from park admission. We rarely play at the Boardwalk Games & Arcade unless there's a collectible toy that caught our kids' eye. While it's a couple of dollars, it adds up due to the difficulty level, except Woodstock's Birdbath (but its prizes are less desirable), & the frustration of not winning anything after spending a lot of time & money. A $5 plushie might cost $50 after multiple failed attempts... yikes! We limited our kiddos to $20. One of the handful of times my eldest played, H won a Squishmallow at one of the booths on her 1st try! ^_^ Whoohoo! Recommended: If you're pretty skilled or just damn lucky, I'd say go for it!

If you are here and you are absolutely itching to play at an arcade, it's fine for what it is, but the ticket redemptions and the price per play is a big rip off. In addition, they have claw machines that are all set to such a low rate of winning that it's totally not worth it at all. I wouldn't recommend it. If you are really in an arcade mood, there are plenty of spots outside of the theme park that you can go to.

It is celebrated for its mix of realism and wonder, featuring deep underground caverns, waterfalls, geysers, and vibrant glowing stalagmites. Award: Calico Mine Ride received the THEA Classic award in 1998. The award honors exemplary, timeless attractions that have operated continuously for over 20 years and set new industry standards. Background On Upgrade: In January 2014, the ride underwent a massive refurbishment in partnership with Garner Holt Productions. This extensive makeover restored the classic attraction to its former glory by adding over 50 new animatronic figures, new lighting, and enhanced audio while still honoring the attraction's original charm. For a full point-of-view experience that takes you on a tour through all of the ride's detailed, subterranean scenes and glowing caverns: Visitation Rights: Been on this rides countless of times. My heart can't take all these other fast rides no more. Wait Time: Wait time can be long due to having only one train operating. It's a oldie, but goodie. Just keep calm and go with the flow. Location: Located in the Ghost Town section. Ambiance/Decor: A slow moving classic dark ride with animations. It smelled really bad last time when we were in the waiting queue. We originally thought it was the person in front of us... then we started pointing fingers at each other. LoL Once we left the area, the smell was gone. :) Calico Mine For Thought: I wouldn't mind riding the ride again. Hopefully, the smell won't be there the next time we go.

It really leans into a more vintage vibe, considering this place is nearly 60 years old the grounds are immaculate, which is unheard of anywhere near LA. Amazing buildings and hedge arches dot the real turfed landscape. Vintage music plays out of old megaphones. Did I mention the place is massive? The parking lot holds maybe 400 cars, but expect it to be nearly full. It has vintage bumper boats, an arcade and 4 18 hole courses. Booking: We originally booked a two-day, one-night stay in the spring but had to cancel due to an emergency. Thankfully, we were able to keep our payment as a credit to use within a year. When we decided to rebook, I had to call to use the credit. The phone wait was extremely long, so my advice is to call as soon as they open. Also, check their website for discounts before calling because the reservation representatives won't necessarily look for those deals for you. Arrival and Parking: Parking was easy in the large garage. You pay for parking based on the number of nights you're staying, and then you're free to come and go. We arrived around 10 a.m. and completed pre-check-in. They let us know we'd receive a text when our room was ready. There wasn't anywhere to store our luggage, so we left everything in the car. Thankfully, luggage carts were available near the garage elevators. Our Room: We reserved the Wolf Den suite, which has a queen bed and a separate bunk-bed area for the kids. We loved that the girls had their own little space! The queen bed felt small since we're used to a king at home, but the bigger issue was how loudly it creaked on my husband's side. Every time he moved during the night, it woke me up. The room was also surprisingly dark. There were a few lamps and lights near the beds and sink, but they didn't provide much overall lighting. We were close to the elevators, which was convenient because we didn't have to walk down those long hallways. However, we could hear people talking and making noise in the hallway. Thankfully, we brought our sound machine, which helped us sleep. We also discovered that our TV remote was missing a battery. We tried calling the front desk several times without an answer, so my husband had to walk downstairs. Once he spoke to someone, they came up to help within minutes. Water Park and Activities: The water park was a lot of fun! I highly recommend visiting when schools aren't on break because the crowds and wait times are much more manageable. Most of the water attractions are fairly tame, although there's a four-person raft slide that's pretty intense. Only two of the four of us enjoyed that one! There were renovations happening during our visit, but we also noticed some new activities, including mini golf and a ropes course. My husband and the girls spent about an hour on the ropes course and absolutely loved it. We also decided to check out the bowling alley, and a kind stranger surprised us by giving us free tokens. Bless her heart! We were able to play a round before heading to the water park. The bowling balls are smaller and easy for kids to handle, and the lanes have bumpers, which makes it a great family activity. We had a lot of fun! Of course, we also stopped by the arcade, which is always a hit with our family. Towels are provided at the water park, but you need to return them before leaving. There's also a shop selling swimsuits, water shoes, goggles, and other essentials. We forgot our girls' goggles and bought the least expensive ones there, but unfortunately, they broke almost immediately. Food: We ate at several restaurants during our stay. Hungry as a Wolf continues to be a favorite! We ordered pizza and wings through the Great Wolf Lodge app while enjoying the water park. The food was ready quickly, and we received a text when it was ready for pickup. We were able to bring it into the water park, which was very convenient. For dinner, we tried the Timbers Table & Kitchen buffet because the girls really wanted to eat there. The food was okay, but I didn't feel it was worth the price. The main benefit was not having to leave the resort. On Saturday, we had lunch at Buckets Burgers & Bites on the upper level of the water park. We ordered using the nearby touchscreen, and the food came out quickly. We had a burger, kids' chicken nugget meals, and chicken tenders with fries. Everything tasted good! Seating was somewhat limited, but we managed to find spots near the bar. Before leaving, we stopped at Wood's End Creamery for ice cream. My daughter and I had vanilla soft serve, and our other daughter chose birthday cake. My vanilla wasn't particularly good, but it was a nice final treat before heading home. Overall: Great Wolf Lodge is a fun place for a family getaway, especially if your kids enjoy water activities. We loved spending time together, and the girls had a wonderful time. There are definitely areas that could use improvement, particularly the room comfort, lighting, reaching the front desk, and the value of some dining options. But despite those frustrations, we made some great memories and enjoyed our stay!
