    So pretty

Unique ride! I think the jellyfish idea is so cute. It's really pretty looking up in the air too. It's too bad that jellyfish couldn't really fly, how cool would that be? To have color jellyfish flying in the air. But, we must settle for the artificial flying jellyfish lol This is a kids ride. Comparable to the Guardians of the Galaxy ride, but less of a drop. The openness is scary though, how you can see everything below you! That freaks me out.

2.6 stars Definitely a kids ride and worth bringing your child on. It is also a wonderful substitute for the risk-averse adult. On Jumping Jellyfish, you only feel 5% of what the Guardians of the Galaxy ride can dish out. Thus, allowing you to keep any food or beverage you consumed before the ride.

Jumpin' Jellyfish is a carnival style ride. Much like parachute rides at carnivals, it is a quick ride. The quick ride means a generally short line. The ride is located towards the end of Pixar Pier. In the pier revamp, this is one of the rides that has yet to be attached to a Pixar movie. I'm surprised the ride was not given a Finding Nemo link. The bright jellyfish have a cheerful look. The colorful jellyfish are especially beautiful when lit up at night. Jumpin' Jellyfish is geared towards younger visitors. My youngest enjoyed this ride. Riding it at night makes it feel like the jellyfish go higher than they do. Riders also get a brief birdseye glimpse of the park.

This is one of those rides I thought was just for "children". I had never boarded this ride in all my years of coming to DCA. So, the last time I was here, there was no wait time and I decided that it was time for liftoff and experience it. I really just wanted a vantage point off the ground to see the park. I've been on Pixar's Pal Around, but it takes what seems like forever to make the full rotation. I'd recommend this ride because it's quick, but maybe a little too quick! The ride is only one and a half minutes long. This Jumpin' Jellyfish ride first opened in 2001. Every time I've walked by, I look up and take an intriguing look at the tower and the fancy top. It is supposed to be reminiscent of a kelp bed from the ground up. Each brightly colored seat is connected to a jellyfish (looks like a parachute). It's a mild ride, nothing too exhilarating for thrill-seekers. It is great for just about any age. You will be lifted about 40 feet in the air and slowly come partially back down and up before finally making it to the ground. This is definitely a fun looking ride! It's especially pretty at night when it is lit up!

What a jumpin jelly good time! This ride is just FUN. Always a short line. For the whole family. You go for the beautiful views!!!! It's a must do as an annual pass holder. I avoided this ride for years and then one day I was like let's see how it actually is and you know what, it's totally worth it for 10 min or less. My fiancé and I loved it. It's cute. It's happy. The cast members make jokes. Why not? It's just FUN.

Jumpin' Jellyfish is one of those hidden rides I never noticed at Pixar Pier. Located in the backside next to the food area. Basically the kiddo version of Guardians of the Galaxy. You go up a few stories and do small drops. My 5 year old kiddos who do not like high rides and drops loved this ride.

Pretty good ride for the kiddos. For the adults is a solid no... Unless you are afraid of guardians of the Galaxy. Go on this 20 times while psyching yourself out and then you can take off the training wheels for guardians. So adults it is a solid skip because it's fairly long wait to the short line and short duration of a ride.

    Olive R.

This is a pretty basic ride with lots of color. Not as intense as guardians of the galaxy and it goes up pretty high so you have a great view of Pixar pier at night. When I went, they only had one set working, so it took over 1 hour to get on. Ridiculous. The ride only goes up and down 3 times, so it's definitely made for the youngsters. The reason for the 3 stars is that they should've had both sets on.

I am a total fan of Jumpin' Jellyfish at California Adventure... Located right next to the Golden Zephyr on Paradise Pier it is a totally great attraction for kids and adults alike. It really reminds me of a ride they used to have at Knott's Berry Farm...there used to be a ride where they hoisted you up in a cage with a parachute attached and let you go and you glided down to the ground. This attraction is much like that but wayyyy better themed and much more controlled for the smaller kiddies. Each jellyfish can accommodate 2 riders and will pull them maybe 20-30 feet up in the air and then gently let them drift down towards the ground...with a small stop here and there along the way. Not only is it really well themed but it is really fun just to watch the smaller ones that high up in the air...to them it must seem like they are hundreds of feet off the ground. I guess you could call it magic. :0)

This is a project in which elementary, middle, and high school choirs and bands performed at Valencia High School in the city of Placentia, CA, in the morning, and were then invited to visit Knott's Berry Farm for fun and the award ceremony in the late afternoon. We were thrilled that both our Bishop Amat Choir and Bands took home four first-place trophies across four categories. Back to Knott's Berry Farm, this amusement park is so much fun. It is a large property, and there is so much to see, do, and enjoy a great, memorable time. On this day, when we visited the park, it was a bit crowded (but fun nonetheless) as numerous school-aged choirs and bands were there, and it was also opening day for Knotts' Soak City water park. Knotts had a promotion for ticket holders who visited both parks on the same day. The crowds were no problem whatsoever as we ALL managed to get on numerous rides, listen to music, eat ice cream, and have bartered fish tacos for dinner. The park is well-maintained, employees were all extremely friendly and helpful, and security can be seen throughout the park to ensure everyone's safety. My family and I chose to purchase standard annual passes, which were very affordable at $120.09 per pass. Interest-free monthly payments are a great option if you prefer not to pay for your season pass in one shot. Now that my family and I have annual passes with parking included, we will definitely visit often, if only to have lunch or dinner at the park.

We usually take advantage of the California resident pass, and although it limits us on the first half of the year, I've never been regretful of buying it. My husband and I are very go-go-go people, so we usually spend the extra money for Lightning Lane and it has saved our time significantly. We've gotten a good grasp on where to prioritize our passes, and we get through at least 8-10 rides in a trip. I would also take advantage of the mobile ordering system as that usually saves us a ton of time too! Luckily with the California Resident pass, we get 3-days so we usually don't fret too much if we don't get to all the rides/foods we want to, and push it off for another visit. I love how some of the festivals (LNY, Food & Wine...) can land within the pass period, so we get to experience the special foods and character costumes as well! I'm hoping to visit Disneyland during Halloween or Christmas in the future!

Very disappointed with the treatment my family received at Disneyland on May 22, 2026…read more We are Believe Key Magic Key holders and entered Disney California Adventure around 9:22 PM with no issues. All of our passes scanned successfully. Around 10:05 PM we attempted to enter Disneyland Park and suddenly my husband's pass showed "no reservation found." Instead of trying to understand the situation or properly investigate, management immediately accused us of basically forcing our way into the park. I repeatedly asked them to review scan records and cameras because we clearly scanned all passes earlier that evening. One manager, Patricia, even stated that regardless of what cameras showed, it would still somehow be our fault. The most upsetting part was how they treated us regarding our autistic 5-year-old son. I explained multiple times that our son did not understand why his father was suddenly being denied entry and separated from us. Rather than showing empathy, another manager, Laura, allegedly stated I was "using my autistic son as an excuse" and compared our situation to her own personal experience with autism. As parents, this was heartbreaking, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. We were treated with suspicion instead of compassion. My husband was eventually allowed in with a replacement pass around 11 PM, but due to parade crowding he did not reunite with us until around 11:30 PM, ruining a large portion of our evening. Disney is supposed to be a place where families feel welcome and supported. Unfortunately, this experience made us feel judged, dismissed, and discriminated against. I truly hope Disneyland reviews how this situation was handled and provides better training on guest care and sensitivity toward families with special-needs children.

Use a credit card to book your room, so you can use their quick check in line. Either way, make sure you take the exact card you use to book for checking in. Before you go, buy the discounted dining deal. You can only buy it in advance, and the food and drinks are pretty pricey, so you will spend $$$. I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. One day was plenty of time if you don't plan on doing all of the activities.
