There's hardly a line for jungle Cruise. I know it's cheesy with the animatronics but I'm here for the jokes! The tour guides are funny and their script h hardly changes but I don't care. If your feet are tired, kick it up in this cruise. It gives you a much deserved rest and relaxation.
Jungle Cruise is an outdoor boat ride at the Adventureland area of Disneyland. It's a river expedition throughout the jungles of Asia, Africa, and South America. The animals featured are animatronics but look very realistic. Each ride can fit a lot of people on the large boat but there can still be long rides. It's not a very exciting ride but what makes the ride are the skippers who make pun-filled jokes throughout its entirety. Our tour guide Ella was great and I was just eating up all the dad jokes.
The "back side of water" never gets old. The Jungle Cruise is another favorite of mine and a classic ride at Disneyland. The cast members and skippers who work this ride have a lot of fun staying in character. They really set the mood with the cringy, yet funny puns and "dad" jokes. The river adventure tour takes about 10 minutes, and it's a nice, chill ride. The animatronics and animals are always fun to see. This ride at night is another treat with the evening mood set and your senses heightened. During the holiday season, this ride gets a holiday overlay with festive decor throughout the jungle ride, aka Jingle Cruise. There are no single-rider lines, but there are Lightning Lane options. And as with most rides, the queue can get long, but it's definitely a must-ride for first-timers and jungle fans.
Jungle Cruise is a classic and lovely if your skipper is into their jokes and folks are playing along. They have updated the ride over the years but the feel of it hasn't really changed. One of the rides we don't always do but if the lines are short and we have down time, we do end up taking a little cruise in the jungle. L O C A T I O N Jungle Cruise is located in Adventureland next to the Indiana Jones Ride. L I N E S The lines here can be short or atrociously long. So keep an eye out on the times on the Disneyland app. But it is a high capacity ride but it also takes a long time to board and off board folks. E X P E R I E N C E You get to go into the jungle...and go on a boat to take a cruise. You get to see all the animatronic animals and other sights. Every ride will be relatively different as the skipper (your tour guide) will be unique. They are trained to lead the ride with guidelines but they do have jokes that are solely theirs. Either way it's a nice covered outdoor ride where you just sit and leisurely float. It's a nice little way to get off your feet and experience a ride that's a little longer than most. O V E R A L L If you've never done the Jungle Cruise, do it! It's a classic! Otherwise, it's not a must ride for me every time. And please be kind to your skipper and play along. It'll be more fun that way!
I absolutely love this ride. It's one of the funniest rides at Disneyland. What's even cooler is every time you ride it, the humor is slightly different. Like today, I heard something new today. It was a funny joke about bamboo and she kept repeating it over and over - hilarious. This is a boat ride and the exhaust may get to people if you're sensitive to things like that. Outside of that, the line moves pretty quick and it's a funny ride.
20 min wait right now. It's going pretty quickly. Still the same old boat ride where the driver cracks some jokes, classic.
I always enjoy this ride because of the skipper jokes! It's also another ride to rest and take a break from walking around Disney. I do love the scenery and all the props they have. It does look like you're in the jungle! Overall it's a relaxing and enjoyable ride with some jokes from the skipper!
This was a special ride for me to see my grandsons enjoy cruising through the Jungle and experiencing what I have over 40 years ago. Although there was not as much joking around on the cruise, the children were amazed at the animals and were able to recognize all the animals and name them. I would recommend this ride for anyone who just wants a relaxing time before trying out the more rigorous rides in the park.
The Baseline: For a theme park attraction, a quality experiences must be provided, the attraction must be fun and engaging, an immersive environment must be established, the queue line must be themed, and safety must be a top priority. Attraction: This is a classic ride in Disneyland that has been operating for 70 years (June 2025 for this review) and was open since day one. It is still fun even though I can expect the jokes, know what is coming around the next corner, and knowing that Dwayne Johnson isn't getting an animatronic like Jonny Depp got in Pirates of the Caribbean. After 70 years the jungle is lush and the animatronic animals are still going strong with their noises, splashes, inability to move from their spots in the wilds. It is still a great ride. Take a Jungle Cruise when you come to Disneyland. Queue: Wait times for Jungle Cruise can be bad at park busy days, but if it is over 30 minutes I would suggest waiting for a shorter wait time. The queue itself is fun and has a lot of picture opportunities. The theme is a 1930's jungle boat expedition with an explorer's society feel. Most of the queue will be shaded so it is nice in the summer though you may have to go up-n-down the stairs.

Love this ride!! The best part are the crew and their corny jokes. A lot of people are lame and don't laugh but man those corny jokes get to me every time hahahah it may be because I like jokes like those and use them myself but I love hearing them. Shoutout to the crew members!!! Until next time.
Who doesn't love corny jokes? Well, the Jungle Cruise is your place. Let's start, shall we? Looks like we are going on for Nile after Nile and after Nile, and if you don't think so, you're in denial. Now we will take an unnecessary right, followed by an unnecessary left; also on the left, you'll see where Walt ran out of money. Don't worry, I'll scare him off (The Hippos). I LOVE YOU! And here we have an unfortunate scene which demonstrates the first rule of survival in the jungle: Don't be the zebra. MY FAVOURITE ONE BEFORE I LEAVE YOU! These hippos are only dangerous when they are wiggling their ears and blowing bubbles, but Bubbles isn't here tonight, so I think we are safe! NOW FOR THE END OF THESE JUNGLE JOKES. This ride has always been a ride I rode on as a child and I still ride it with my family. It's one of the first rides I go on once I get to Disneyland. A true classic that a must attraction. The cast members here are always top notch. The guides on the boat are always hilarious. Enjoyed this ride as a youngster and now it's pure nostalgic adoration. A must visit attraction. read more
The ride is entertaining - the jokes are amazing! My kid quoting the ride operator from a recent visit: "we laughed together, we cried together, we almost died together." If you don't get the joke - you have to ride the ride. If that is not enough to lure you onto the DeNile River, then you must visit to see the 8th wonder of the world! Yasss...what would a visit to Disneyland be without a ride on the Jungle Cruise. Turns out the actual Jungle Cruise River is in fact a representation of several iconic rivers from around the world all wrapped up into one...who knew?! Nevertheless...it's a must experience part of Adventureland and well worth the time one will spend in queue waiting to ride the attraction. I have experienced this attraction over the years and apart from the serene ride through a lush jungle landscape, you will encounter the 8th Wonder of The World (no...I'm not telling), tigers, crocodiles, snakes elephants apes, lions, zebras, rhinos and hippos (just to name a few) and all the while..your boat's Skipper will be giving you a monologue of comically bad/good "puns". Depending on your "mood" the monologue will make you laugh, make you chuckle, make you shake your head or just decide not to listen to the amusement dribble. Since the puns/jokes are coming at the riders quickly and non-stop...my experience is that most people just take it in and don't react. Kinda makes ya feel bad for the "Skippers" who need to memorize the spiel because it's a long one, since the ride is between 7 - 8 minutes in duration. There were some slight transformations on this river trip (over the years I guess it pays to re-invent slightly to keep it interesting) but overall the attraction continues to give riders a fun and pleasurable experience. In this Yelper's opinion, on this occasion the Jungle River Cruise in Disneyland (CA) truly earns this "highly recommend" ,come bring the entire family, 5 Star review. read more

Fortunately, we are about 15 feet away so he'll go clear over us." I've always enjoyed going on this fun little ride. During the hot summer months, it is a nice break from the heat and a chance to rest my feet after walking all day. Some of the inspiration from the Jungle Cruise ride comes from one of my favorite old-time movies "The African Queen" starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn. Jungle Cruise is a river cruise ride through a dense rainforest in tropical Southeast Asia on a canopied steamboat. On the way you get to see hippos, elephants, lions and snakes. But the fun part of this ride is the skipper who navigates your ride and narrates it with dry humor filled with bad puns. Jungle Cruise is one of Disneyland's original rides when it opened in 1955. It has been renovated many times since then. The water is a dark blue-green color to hide the boat's underwater guidance system. The ride itself is located in the Adventureland area of the theme park next to the Indiana Jones Adventure ride and the treehouse. The Jungle Cruise film that came out in 2021 and stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt is based off this ride. I really liked the movie and still crossing my fingers for a sequel. read more

Another ride I've never been on. All I know is when we were running through the line they were saying it's magical at night time. I'll take their word for it. The commentary was pretty much everything about the ride. She kept saying silly jokes, but one precisely over and over . The Bamboo could grow up to 11 feet and she said I think 12 but that's another story. She said it so many times that I kept beating her to the punchline that was fun #heckler. #5Stars. read more

A Disneyland classic that has withstood the test of time with plenty of dad jokes to be shared. The skipper is the best back of the experience for me as it makes the ride unique each time, though you sail the same waters. That unique piece of personality makes it interesting for sure. It's not a ride I do often as the boarding and de boarding can be difficult for both my parents and myself. It's still worth visiting on your next Disney trip! read more
The best jokes in Disneyland, and that is no joke. Jokes are punny. The Jungle Cruise takes adventurers on a cruise around the jungle. See such amazing sights as the back side of water, and hippos blowing bubbles while wiggling their ears. The ride ends right back at the docs. The Jungle Cruise is one of the original Disneyland rides. Fun fact, many of the original trees surrounding the shores of the ride were sourced from all around Orange County. Some of the trees even came from the very land the park was built on. read more

I have been on this ride numerous times. Many jokes are the same, but once in awhile, you get an extremely unique comedian. Five stars for Eddie from this past Tuesday. He was hilarious and I hope I'll get him again in the future. I was laughing the entire time! read more
6-25-23 Lions and tigers and bears!!! Not on this water ride but the backside of a waterfall, a rhino trying to gorge a safari clad man climbing to get out of harms way, you'll see that and more. You'll have a skipper who'll take you on your river cruise with witty or commentary that may summon a chuckle or two during your adventure. He'll bring you back to the starting point of your adventure so that another boatload of passengers may come aboard. read more
The Jungle Cruise is classic Disney at it's best. The many times I have ridden this ride each time I discover something new. You get aboard a boat with a funny name and a skipper whom if you know the jokes repeat them for the benefit of the passengers who haven't ridden. A couple of the best jokes are "wave goodbye to the people on the docks; you will never see them again!" and "View the 7th wonder of the world, the backside of water!" Your skipper takes you through the jungle scenes where you see elephants bathing, a hippo that rises out of the water where your skippers shoots a gun at, a pilgramized safari camp overrun by apes, and of course my favorite, the men on the totem pole with the rhino's horn prodding the butt of the lowest man. Trader Sam's is also here from where the famous bars gets its name. It's an enjoyable and funloving voyage. Magic Kingdom comparison:- The Magic Kingdom has the upper hand here since that ride alone navigates you through the South American Inca temple full of snakes and treasures. I learned that when I asked a cast member about it after we got off. There is no temple in this ride. Still it is one of the classic original rides and will always be a fan favorite of mine. Nice relaxing ride with the same old jokes told over the past forty years. - One of the few attractions I wouldn't recommend riding when it's raining at Disneyland. It gets really wet and the canvas roof leaks and dumps water on passengers.. - If this line is over an hour wait then you know it's a very busy day the Disneyland. You might as well start drinking now.. - They made a terrible movie out of this ride. I've lost all respect for Emily Blunt..You're better than that. read more
