Chip 'n' Dale's GADGETcoaster is a cute ride but if you wait more than 10 minutes for it, you will surely be disappointed. It's such a short ride that goes by so quickly, you barely lift your arms in excitement & start screaming before you're pulling back into the station. Even for a kiddie roller coaster, they could have made it a bit longer than 44 seconds. That being said, this is a super cute ride and I love the theming of this kiddie coaster. I'm sure it's a great introduction for children to the world of thrilling rides. However for me, as an old lady with no children, it's not the kind of rollercoaster I need to ride again. I'm happy to have experienced it and will leave it for the little ones. I'm telling you though, if you wait longer than 10 minutes, you're going to be so annoyed with the length of the ride haha It just doesn't align well. I grew up with Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers (it aired 1989-1992) so truly appreciate them being part of Toontown at Disneyland! read more

Definitely a kid's coaster and honestly in comparison to the other kid's coaster in DCA (Goofy's Sky School), this is way more mild and less exhilarating. I'll be honest, anything over a 15 minute wait isn't worth it for this ride, but at the very least, the cast members are quite good with getting guests on and off at an efficient speed. The coaster itself loops around twice before you depart. There's some goofy sound effects and you can see the still statues that they have there which are cute and fun. The comparison for this ride would be Snoopy's Tenderpaw at Knott's, if that is a measure for anything. Not bad, but nothing much to write home about. Great for the little kiddos. read more

Chip 'n' Dale's GADGETcoaster (formerly Gadget's Go Coaster) was my three-year-old's first roller coaster, and probably his last one for quite a while. I think it was too short to be traumatizing (he doesn't talk about it like he talks about Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage), but he spent the whole ride clinging to me and whimpering. I understand why GADGETcoaster has middling Yelp reviews. It's super short and not that exciting if you're an adult or big kid who likes a full roller coaster. I'd definitely recommend it, though, if you're visiting Disneyland with children between 35" and 40", especially if they're on the adventurous side. It's the only attraction in either park with a 35" height limit, and the most thrilling ride before you get to that 40" mark and unlock like Space Mountain and Star Tours. I like a roller coaster, and I enjoyed this one--it was brief, yes, but it was also fast and fun. I'm guessing most people have no use for GADGETcoaster, but if you're part of the subset I just described, definitely give it a go. There was almost no line when we went, which made it extra worthwhile, even if it did test my little boy's bravery. read more

Located in ToonTown, all the way to the left, you'll find this coaster for the small ones but of course adults can ride also. A height requirement is in existence. Bags can be left on the ground on the exit side of your acorn cart. This cute coaster is a really quick ride but still fun especially if it's your first time like it was for me. read more

This is a very short but fun ride for the kids and adults. It's nothing like Space Mountain but it's close enough for kids to enjoy and not cry. The wait here wasn't that long like only 10 minutes and it was totally worth it. Small and quick kiddie coaster. Ride was short, but enjoyable for my son. It was actually faster (speedwise) than you'd think, but it's not a bad thing. Most kids should enjoy it. The wait time on the day I went wasn't bad at all, but that could've just been weird luck. The ride itself was quick - less than a minute. I could see waiting on line for more than 20 minutes and then this being over within a minute being trying, but it IS meant for kids after all. This ride is located in the Disneyland portion of the park inside Toon Town. Worth it for the kids, but if the line is long you may consider trying later, since the ride is rather short. read more

I believe this was our last ride before lunch? I think the height requirement here is 35", so I believe all the kids who wanted to were able to ride. (They were aged 2.5 / almost 3 to 7 years in age.) We rode Gadget's Go Coaster on Monday, November 19th, sometime around 12 noon. For a kid coaster, this was pretty fun. I'm more into straight up roller coasters, but this fulfilled that part of me. We didn't have FastPasses, so we actually had to wait in line. It wasn't too bad as all the kids kept us busy while we waited. If memory serves, it's all single rider seats, so the oldest kid rode in front. She had a blast. Just don't take anything with you as you need to leave your belongings at the platform where you board the coaster. It's not the most secure, but at least it's on the exit side. A more thrilling ride for the kiddies. read more

This is a cute roller coaster located in Mickey's Toontown. My daughter and I couldn't get enough of this ride yesterday while visiting the Disneyland Park. Guests board a little train acorn train that seems to be built for children since the acorn seats are small, so most adults will have to sit alone or with a small child. Once aboard the train sets off up the hill for it's initial drop then whizzes over a small lake with a few twists and turns before heading back to the station. It's a lot of fun, but over pretty quick. A perfect ride to introduce my three-year-old to roller coasters and for her Mommy who is too chicken to ride on the big coaster in Disney's California Adventure Park. My daughter was so proud that she was finally able to meet the height requirement for this ride. She is so anxious to be able to ride Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain with us one day when she meets those height requirements as well! read more

Don't underestimate this ride one bit. May be a tiny coaster, but it's faster than you think it is. It was my first time in Toon Town in years and decided to go on this because we saw the line was short and why not? With an annual pass, you can make up for lost time next time anyways. Waited about 10-15 minutes to get on this ride that lasted about 20-30 seconds. I'd say worth for sure. Standing at a whopping 6'7", I was able to fit in this car the same way I'd fit in Goofy's Sky School, so don't complain that you won't be able to fit. Ride #4 of the day, Gadget Go Coaster which is in Toontown is a mini-roller coaster. The wait time was about 25-30 minutes. The reason why we went in it, is because my friends and I, embracing our inner children, were inside a tree. Oh gosh I forgot the character associated with it. Chip n Dale? The ones that are named for the parking lot? Iono i don't remember. But we hear a kid on the ride "Oh my god waittt oh my god waittt" and we look at the roller coaster getting ready to go down. It went down. As slow as it could almost be :P Yes it still goes by quickly but the speed is slower than normal roller coasters. The ride is really small so you will be squished if you are a larger fellow like I am. There is only one car and that is the only one that will be running, so that is why there's such a long line for it. The wait for this was around 20 minutes (it wasn't too too bad). Like my friend said, this is made for children and I shan't be a wuss on this ride :P It's pretty short. Sick drop factor: 2.5/10 (because there actually is a drop) FastPass: Nope! read more

Cute little roller coaster...59 seconds long. You read that right. Maybe sometimes it last a minute and one second but still the ride itself is right around a minute. It is the type of roller coaster where you go up the initial hill and then down and around but not up another hill...just downhill till you get to the station. Believe it or not the very first time I heard of this roller coaster for some odd reason I thought it was named after Inspector Gadget. I apparently forgot about Gadget from Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers. The coaster is located at the complete back of Disneyland in the rear of Toontown. The easiest way to get to it from any other section of the park is to just take the railroad and get off at the Toontown Station. You are seated in an acorn (how nutty, huh?) and there is not much room for more than two small kids or one adult. The wait can be anywhere from a couple minutes to over 20 so if there is a long line just leave it for later...it usually thins out later in the day. It is one of those attractions that you do not have to do on your first trip to Disneyland but make sure at some point some day you do try it. You will have a chance to do something else 59 seconds later. :0) read more

For my two year old's birthday, he got his first ride on a rollercoaster! He's a tall 36 inch kid, and each visit we had remeasured him and watched him get closer to being able to ride. To prepare my guy for his first ride, I had him watch first person POV (that's point of view) videos on YouTube of this ride. Every time it ended he'd ask for more and say "Train Fast TUNNEL!", so that was another sign to me that he was ready. We went on an average busy day (last Thursday of February) and our wait was 20 minutes at 11:30. It was the best wait ever. He loved looking at the oversized toothbrushes and combs that formed the stanchions for the line. As we waited in line, I constantly pointed out the ride and helped him to stay calm by reminding about about the video. When our turn came, my husband sat in front of us and little man and I sat together. You could try to squeeze two adults into a car, but a grownup and kid is really best. Once you sit down, you are only supported by a bar that doesn't quite come down all the way, so it was essential to my mental health that I hold my little boy close. He had one hand around me and another on the bar #likeapro. He didn't cry and seemed to have a natural adrenaline/fear of the ride based on the video. At the end, on his on intuition, he exclaimed "I DID IT!!" At the end of his second ride he added a "WOOHOO!" to his "I DID IT!" read more

Small + VERY quick. This ride is over within 10-15 seconds? Located within ToonTown. I would not wait more than 10 minutes for this ride though considering how short the actual ride is. Wait times can get long just because there is only 1 coaster. It does go fast but it is perfect for kids, not scary at all. The seats are very tiny though so you might not be able to share a seat. There are certain height requirements for this ride (I am not sure of the exact height) so check that if you have little kiddos because it would be a waste to sit in line, reach the front, and be told they are too small to ride. There are no fast passes for this ride. Make sure you secure your items or leave them on the platform (where you boarded) I saw a guy lose his hat while riding. read more

Basically, I view this ride as a stepping stone for children to build up to larger roller coasters. It's over in under a minute but the children still learn to appreciate the anticipation of the "drop" after they've reached the highest peak (which isn't too high on this ride). Every now and then, I'll get on Gadget's Go Coaster because it's too cute to pass up. Plus, the wait time was nonexistent today! Oh and if you on the taller side, this ride may be uncomfortable for you as it seems to be built to accommodate shorter people. I guess that the engineers who designed this ride forgot to take into account that parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles who might be over 5' 4" would be accompanying the little ones on this ride. I'm 5'7" and I find it difficult to get comfortable on here too. That's probably why I ride this every now and then! read more

We waited in line for like 30 minutes, the coaster runs all of 26 seconds, aaannnddddddd it goes about 22 miles per hour. I have had more fun on a swing set. For the wait in line, the total experience of Gadget's Go Coaster doesn't quite measure up. Sure, it's a surprisingly fast coaster with a bit of a drop and quick banks and turns - but it's over in one minute. I get that it's targeted towards kids, but couldn't they spring a little to make the cars just a teensy-bit bigger? Crikey, I'm 5'2", and I had trouble getting in to the car. I was surprised by the speed of the ride, which seemed a little out of place in Toontown (where everything is geared towards the littler ones...right?) I loved Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers when I was a kid, and Gadget reminded me of my sister, whom my dad calls Moog (which, coincidentally, means "mouse" in Armenian). In short, there are many reasons for me to love this ride. And I guess I would if it were in some little no-nonsense amusement park in the middle suburbs of Minnesota. But this is the Happiest Place on Earth, and yet I'm very unhappy waiting in a long line behind all these other unhappy (read: spoiled) kids. And during and after the ride, which is very mild, the more scared kids are unhappy because they don't like roller coasters. Too small for Disneyland, too big for Toontown, too slow and brief to enjoy if you're not seven, too fast for the tiny kids whose parents are worried about every last germ but who don't seem to realize that it's more important for a child's psychological growth to feel secure (and the sensation of falling can be terrifying) than to actually be secure (and it's debatable whether protecting your child from everyday bacteria is actually a good thing--there's a good reason kids get sick more often than adults; it's called building immunity). Let your kids play in the dirt! read more

I absolutely love this little coaster! I don't know why! It's tiny, it's not super fast, it's not scary! It's not long, but boy is it fun! It's a great first roller coaster for kiddos, or break from toon town! The line moves pretty fast! It's just fun! This was one of the first rides that I got on in my recent trip to Disneyland and I remembered why I wasn't a big fan. The line was about 30-45 minutes and it was so effin hot! On top of that the ride is really short. Of course I understand that this is mostly aimed at smaller children that are getting ready for "bigger" roller coasters/rides. I love this ride...even if it lasts literally 30 seconds lol. When our kids were very little we came to this ride every visit (we have annual passes) and they loved and even we loved it. The wait can be considerable. For some people it's not worth the pay-off, but for us, it gives us a chance to check Facebook, Instagram, etc. We make it work for us. Like everything else in Toontown, this ride was made for younger children. I'd say 6 and under. It's really short. I think Eric N clocked it at 59 seconds. Any wait longer than 20 minutes would be a waste of time. That's why we usually skip it. Since Toontown closes earlier than the rest of the park, if you go just before it closes, the line is usually shorter. This is a great "starter" roller coaster for little ones, located inside of Toon Town. My son has gone on it a few times since turning 2, and has never protested. He gets to learn the concept of waiting in line, the speed, the drops and how to hold his hands up for the fun of it. Especially compared to other kids' roller coasters, like Happy Hollow in San Jose, this one is much cuter and runs much more smoothly. read more

After about 45 seconds I'm ready for the ride to be over. The ride is not based on inspector gadget like I had assumed. This goes on my list of rides that are for small children that even the adults should ride. It isn't the slowest of the least scary for the little ones but it ois a gateway coaster for future roller coaster fans. Ride this even if you feel silly because it is fun. make sure the line is short because the ride itself is really quite short. make sure as an adult you each take a car. You wont fit 2 to a car even if it's with a child. The over sized toys and items in the cue are fun too! read more
