Two words - memory foam…read more While I admit I've never much paid attention to the Skechers brand in general nor am I really a sneaker hound at all (I won't EVER pay $100 for any sneaker), I am more for a decent looking sneaker for a fair and reasonable price more than appearance or name. I bought a pair of Skechers this past year due mainly for the price and now I look at them in a whole new light. While there are different types of "memory foam", the memory foam in the pair I got are great. So great and comfortable I might add, that I'm already planning on buying another pair for next year's vacation for myself, my fiance, and my son. I rarely venture to Cross County these days since I'm not much of a fan, but just today happened to see this location and took a look. The store layout is clean and organized. While there were several customers inside, I only noticed one employee who looked busy. I looked around a bit and the prices were decent enough - though online you could probably find the same pairs for a few dollars cheaper. All in all, a good location and a reason to come to Cross County. I can't stand the Foot Action/Foot Locker stores (nor their prices), but if I need to come to Cross County at all for sneakers - this would be the place.

Instead of offering a clear solution, I was told that I first need to return the product, which again costs me time and effort for a mistake that was clearly not mine. Why would I need to return the shoes? It's not like they can sell a broken shoe to someone else. For a defective item, I expect a customer-friendly resolution, not additional work for the customer. Camper Customer Service Review:…read more This is not a review of the store or of any one employee in particular. It is a review of Camper's deeply disconnected and unacceptable customer service, where the customer is repeatedly passed from one channel to another, with no one taking responsibility for resolving the issue. I have called multiple times and was even instructed to return to the store, which I did. At the store and over the phone, employees appeared to understand exactly what was happening. However, they repeatedly said they did not have the authority to do anything about the issue--a refund for a defective item--and that it had to be handled by online customer service. All they could do was give their narrative of the facts to the online customer service, which has the capacity to fix the issue, but doesn't do it. This is where the absurdity begins: the store that accepted the defective item and processed the return supposedly cannot resolve the refund. The customer service phone team is perfectly capable of listening to the problem and understanding it but apparently has no ability to actually fix it. And when contacting online customer service by email, the response simply sends the customer in circles, repeating the same generic instructions from the previous email without even addressing the detailed explanation provided. I have already explained the issue step by step, including the relevant dates and times--everything necessary to understand what happened and why Camper owes me this refund. The lady who helped at the store has opened a case, the lady who helped me over the phone, has sent them notes. Yet instead of actually reading the information and resolving the problem, I receive what feels like an automated, irrelevant response that sends me back through the same frustrating process. At this point, I am no longer convinced this is merely careless or indifferent customer service. The repeated failure to acknowledge the facts, take ownership, and resolve a very straightforward refund issue is beginning to feel disingenuous. A company should not make a customer repeatedly explain the same problem to multiple departments while every department claims it is someone else's responsibility. This experience has been extraordinarily frustrating and has completely destroyed my confidence in Camper. This was my first purchase from Camper, and it will absolutely be my last.
