I bought a pair of Sam Edelman sneakers from SAks. What a disappointment- after a few months of wearing them (and not every day), they have started to peel. The issue is that the suade is peeling from the actual heels of the soles. Looks terrible. Very disappointing and I would never purchase another pair read more

Love the heel quality at Sam Edelman. The staff here are all so friendly and greeted us as we entered. I first got introduced to the brand via Influenster when I was gifted with a pair of beautiful boots. We took a visit to the actual store however there was no AC that day and they used the portable coolers in the back and vent them into the fitting rooms through the door openings to keep the back room cool. I really like this crop top. One of the associates called in and got my size however I decided not to purchase it since there is no fitting room to try it on. The associate said I can buy it and try it on at home and I can always return it if I don't like it but I feel it was a bit of a hassle. Overall, I love the quality here and the service was excellent... however, I did wish the associate never blurted out that piece isn't online while it is. read more

Very disappointed with this brand I go to pick up my shoes and they close the doors because it's Halloween and I couldn't pick up my shoes. It was 7:25pm and they close at 8 PM. I will cancel my order and no longer order with brand. read more

Came to try on loafers and the associate gave me a look like she couldn't bother to help, but was giving all her attention to a very specific clientele. Also I must say, the customer service for Sam Edelman online is not much better. It takes forever for them to process a return, and I've never seen anything like it. I strongly advise not buying from this brand. read more

Wow it's came down to this, my one star review for Sam Edelman. I once again was disappointed with the quality of shoes. After bringing it to the District Manager attention Alysha, who was rude, blatantly incompetent, gave zero empathy for another shoe that was worn and broke the same day! When I took this issue up with her she was condescending, and utterly unhelpful. I asked to speak to another manager, and she began to go in circles about her title and gave me snarking looks as I showed her my receipt from the same day! This lady belongs working at a fast food restaurant, where bad attitudes are abundant. If you entrust a person like Alysha in a manager position it says poor things about you as an employer. Alysha is a discredit to any establishment that relies heavily on customer service. Dear Sam Edelman, miserable people are incapable of facilitating positive experience. read more

My mom and I arrived at the Sam Edelman store in SoHo a little before opening on Saturday morning, and Eric went above and beyond by welcoming us in a few minutes early. He was incredibly accommodating and created such a warm, seamless shopping experience that we ended up leaving with more than i wanted to pay for, including what is now my mom's favorite handbag. Thanks to Eric's exceptional service, we found the perfect Mother's Day gift and had a wonderful start to our day. Highly recommend this location for their customer care! read more

Classy store in soho with three rooms of shoes on display (some clothes but not much). The staff was super friendly- I was trying to find shoes for a wedding and she gave me such great advice (avoid stiletto heel / suede material if it's outdoors, etc.). There were lots of cute shoes, especially sandals and colorful heels, on sale as well- I was tempted to get a few other pairs but refrained. read more

I went here to return a purchase in store. I waited for an eternity because the customers (white and Blonde, has relevance) in front of me decided to have a full blown conversation with the sales associate. That's ok. Then came my turn, SA was rude. I said good afternoon, smiled. No greeting, just have a look of annoyance like I didn't belong there. I pondered if this had to be race related bc you know, our society is quite sensitive to things these days; I wanted to make sure I wasn't overthinking her actions. I went to read other reviews on Google. Based on those reviews, I concluded that if you're not tall, white and blonde, you will be treated like a peasant/degenerate. I was too lazy to sign into Google and leave a review so, I'm leaving one here. Such a shame these days that even minority SAs can look down on other minorities and treat them without respect and dignity. Welcome to the beginning of the end, for retail. read more

I've been in this Sam Edelman a few times. The salespeople are cordial and helpful and greet you upon entry. They aren't angling to be your new best friend, but they are not rude or unapproachable. And they aren't high pressure too, which is great. Wandering around the attractive showroom, I wish they had a wider variety of flats, but oh well. The saleswoman helping me was on point when she suggested I try a larger size and even brought out a second pair a size up just in case. If you're looking for quality unique footwear at kind-to-bank-account prices, Sam Edelman on Spring Street may be worth checking out. If you can't make it to the store, Zappos also offers an abundance of their sandals, flats, and boots. And I never knew if Sam was a man or woman, but after poking around on the website, he's a he. read more

"Thank you for your patience" is the motto of this soho shop, as the salespeople are constantly apologizing to customers for taking 15 min to bring up their shoes/getting the size wrong//color wrong. What is going on here?! The shoes themselves are pretty adorable, and they're great about having sales, but the slowness on top of the freezing shop in the winter (close the front door!) walks me out the door and straight to samedeleman.com. See ya! read more

Awful quality of $70 slides that injured my feet ** sorry for the wound picture, please do not look at the image of you will feel uncomfortable. there's several other blisters like this but I'm only showing this one** I bought this slide because I was looking for a comfortable pair of slides for casual walking. After wearing the slides on the street for only an hour, several blisters like this formed on my feet. I didn't realize how bad they were until I got home. It's been four days and the wound wouldn't heal and still bleeds and fluid will come out. I would not expect to pay $70 for a pair of slider that I can't even wear for an hour. It's not the fit issue because the sales associate at the store looked at it and said it was a perfect fit. I tried to call the store, multiple times, every time they ended up put me on hold for ten minutes and then hang up. No one seems to care about customer service. The store asked me to contact online customer service number because they can not do anything even if I bought the shoe from the store. I was not allowed to return the shoes even if I bring it back to the store. I tried calling the online customer service number and I was on the phone with the representative for 40 min. All they can do at the end is giving me store credit if I ship the shoes back to their corporate address. The customer representative was very indifferent, saying that blisters like this was normal, blaming my feet for not being the perfect fit for this shoe. Since when does shoe company aim to make shoes that requires specific type of feet to fit their shoes? Tbh I wouldn't even be mad if this was a heel or any other type of shoes that I would expect some level of discomfort. How did you manage to make a slide uncomfortable? At this price? So they want me to spend more money on this brand after what had happened. I would expect better quality shoes, better customer service from this brand for the price, but I guess they have too good of a business to care for one new customer. Very disappointed. read more

I made a return over a year ago (realizing the two shoes I'd purchased were ugly and frumpy copies of other designs) and have still not received my refund. I have called customer support multiple times, and they've assured me each time they'll get back to me in 3 business days and never have. Each time, they've acknowledged that the process just 'dropped off' and something went wrong but have not been able to actually give me my refund. I went to a physical store where they not only refused to help me, but also didn't bother to check if there was actually anything they could do - just flat out refused. I understand that this is a brand selling overpriced highstreet knockoffs of other designers' work, so I shouldn't expect better, but really, this is worse than something one would expect from even them. read more

Worst service ever! They tried to say the broken strap is due to the "detailing of the shoe". They were such terribly unhelpful people, not friendly and a waste of my time going to the store to try to return broken strap shoes. I definitely will not be going back to this store or purchasing Sam Edelman shoes again. The whole experience dealing with the customer service team in store and online has been horrendous. read more

Randomly stopped in today because I was in the neighborhood, and I love their shoes. They had a great sale, extra 30% off of sale styles. Unfortunately I walked out empty handed because of the rude sales associates. The only person that greeted me was the security guard. I stood there with 2 shoes in my hand waiting for a size and still no assistance. The workers are so snooty and too busy trying to look cute, that they don't have time to acknowledge customers. read more

Being a woman with small feet (I wear a size 4.5) it is extremely difficult to find shoes! Sam Edelman is one of the brands that makes my size and also carries it in their stores (which is more than i can say for Vince Camuto, who makes shoes in my size but doesn't stock in in stores). Walked into this Soho store knowing the brands reputation of nice shoes at a decent price point. I'm a fan of their flats and heels and had purchased a few pairs before at department stores. The salesperson I worked with was super friendly. When she found out what my size was, she walked me around the showroom and pointed out shoes she had in stock in my size. Awesome! I ended up trying on a few pairs and selected a patent nude peep toe pump. The shoe was even on sale, AMAZING! $60 for a pair of shoes in soho is a STEAL and I'm super happy with my purchase. I actually went back to the store 2 weeks later and that same sales associate remembered me. A great selection, shoes in my size and helpful/attentive sales associates mean this place gets 5 stars in my book! read more

Products are fine but the attitude of the employees was awful. No customer service, seemed irritated when I asked to try a pair on. I walked in with three pairs of SE shoes to return from an online order. Personally, if the ticking clock in my head of the dwindling 30 day return policy for said items [as the company DOES NOT take into account the shipping time: literally, a full 7 Business Days to get the items from themselves to me!!!], I would have turned on my heel and left. I approached more than two SE sales associates at this location- I finally asked the security guard as to whom was in-charge due to the utter disrespect. Tbh, due to the sales staff and product options within the location, nothing warrants a trip to this shop unless one is in SoHo and there's an absolute NEED: Bloomies, Nordstrom and many other retailers stock this label in NYC; all are able to conduct business without the obscenely offensive attitude of the Sam Edelman SoHo locale. read more

It's like I died and went to shoe heaven! I stumbled upon the Sam Edelman store by accident when I went to the Frye store. I was ecstatic since I'm a HUGE fan of Sam Edelman. Their shoes are comfortable, cute, and affordable! The service here is average, but all the shoes are really cute! They have every color available of their Felicia flat. These are the most comfortable flats I have ever owned. They also have jewelry and clothes in the back of the store. At first when I went into the store, the staff ignored me, but as soon as I asked for help they were very attentive. I walked out with a pair of grey booties on sale for $120 so I was really happy! :) I gave them 4 stars for the great products they carry, but I deducted one star for the average service. read more

The prices at Sam Edelman are an obvious plus, the shoes are very cute, and even though not all shoes here are comfortable, there are two important reasons to be a regular Sam Edelman shopper. Firstly, the service is AMAZING - this place has patient and friendly salespersons that do not make you feel bad for trying on any number of shoes. They place no covert pressure on you by way of body language or weird attitudes to make a purchase. This alone scores a lot of points for me, especially given the status of customer service in others shops in the neighborhood. Secondly, the collection is really big - you are bound to see and find something that you like! read more

I had a good experience at this shop last week. The displays were well organized and the shop is clean. The sales staff (I had dealings with two different people) were both very helpful. Great shoes, great staff! I came in a couple of minutes before close last night only expecting to take a look around but Elan, Sofia, and the staff member running the shoes upstairs went out of their way to help me try on as many sizes and styles as I wanted. I'm Sam Edelman obsessed. We don't have a store in LA so I really had to make a stop here in New York. I walked in not expecting to get anything but after looking around for just a few minutes, I saw about 5 pairs of shoes that were super cute and reasonably priced. I already own 2 pairs of Sam Edelman birkenstocks at home and I can say they're super comfortable! The ladies in the store made you feel very welcomed and were very patient. After trying on a pair of cute white sandals and decided not to get it, the sneaky boyfriend of mine bought the shoes for me. They got a new pair for him and rung him up at the register. THANKS BOYFRIEND! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at an actual Sam Edelman store! Soooo I went into the SoHo location this afternoon to kill some time. When the black suede hazel pointed toe heel introduced herself to me, I instantly fell in love. Beautiful, feminine, unique styles at an affordable price. I have insanely narrow feet, and most of Sam Endelman's shoes are made with straps, which helps so much! The shoes are not the most comfortable, but they are comfortable enough to wear. The service is wonderful, and they will ship your shoes home for free if you don't feel like carrying them home. The sales are always fantastic. read more

I just have to preface this review with the fact that I own lots of Sam Edelman shoes. They are beautiful and stylish. Unfortunately I went in on a Wednesday afternoon, completely empty with 5 associates and 1 security guard standing around. I tried to exchange a pair of boots that had a defective zipper. I own 2 pairs of this boot so it was random. They said the store cannot do exchanges and that I need to call customer service. I asked if we can call here. The answer was NO! The store is empty...so I was extremely confused and shocked at the lack of customer service. I left with the 1800 # and it was about a 10 min hold time before I spoke to a live person. I got 2 conflicting responses on how to return this boot! Today someone from corporate called and tried to figure out the story. She was really nice in explaining the process and listening to my horrible experience at the soho store. I will update this once I receive my refund check for the boots. Yes there is a great selection but really the service was terrible read more

Wow such rude staff- at least the associate number 252009 who works on Sunday. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and I told them I was FOR SURE going to buy shoes and the women gave me so much attitude. I had purchased 2 shoes the day before and wanted to exchange one my boyfriend was a few blocks away with them. I decided on my shoes and purchased them at 7:10- 10 minutes after they closed - and she made me feel so unwelcomed after purchasing over 350 worth of products it was ridiculous- my boyfriend arrived right as I was walking out and they refused to let him in and let me exchange the other pair- the girl told me to mail them to a local friend since I don't live in the area and can't come back on my own - so great shoes but really horrible customer service. read more

Had a great experience here. Our salesperson (Kristen) was so friendly and helpful. She made shoe shopping even more fun than it usually is.

I'd never heard of this place before walking into the store with the green sign in Soho. I thought it was a pretty decent price point for shoes and there were lots of fun colors for summer. I thought this place was really cute and there were no tills in the the store, we had to be rung-in at the back of the store. The staff were a tad inattentive although it was really busy. I was quite impressed with the high heels I purchased, they were really comfy, I would love to find another pair of these shoes in my hometown, I will definitely be on the hunt for another pair!
