Horrified by the customer service here. I was visiting, bought a pair of heeled flip flops here. Once I tried them on at my hotel, I realized the soles were way too heavy to walk around NY. I only wore them to try them on in store and in the hotel room for a moment. I took the shoes back to Steve Madden, the two girls at the front refused to accept the return, and gave attitude for zero reason even though I was polite throughout the entire interaction. I had to fly these shoes and the box all the way back to LA, and guess what? The first Steve Madden I went to accepted the return with zero issues. Y'all suck. read more

Andry was super friendly and professional! She took care of my shoe buying needs and had a smile on her face the entire time. Never felt like I was bothering her! I got some nice shoes and it was actually discounted because Dominic at the register applied a discount by adding something which was super nice and demure of him! Will be back! read more

Steve Madden - Shoe Stores Near Me - New York, New York

Such a bad experience :( Tried to return the most uncomfortable shoes and they said I could have a store credit. Okay, great, fine. But they couldn't give me the credit as a gift card to use at a later time. The store was so packed and I had a flight to catch that I didn't have time to look around. When I asked that to the cashier she was understanding and said she had to go ask. The manager came over and ugh she was so passive aggressive. The conversation was really going nowhere and I just tried to say I didn't have the time since they were so busy and I had to go to the airport. Her only response was the ask what time was flight was in such a rude tone. I honestly hate any kind of confrontation so not trying to complain just about this experience but seriously, it left me feeling in such a bad mood. read more

I just bought a pair of Steve Madden shoes and they are utter and complete trash. Unbelievably poorly made. The faux leather has NO stretch at all. I actually have never, ever touched a worse show in my life. Just horrible. Of course the soles are glued, but who cares about that, it's basically impossible to put. The model is called Pacifica and they are espadrilles. They looked pretty online but NEVER, EVER buy them. I'm NEVER going to buy ANYTHING branded steve madden ever again. It's an insult to humanity that anyone made such a shoe. read more

I went Thursday 5/8 and the staff here are amazing so helpful and kind super accommodating and really sweet. Would definitely recommend.

Kareem was such phenomenal help!!!! He was patient, accommodating, and so nice. He went above and beyond to get me the shoes I wanted for my party! read more

I haven't shopped in stores in a long time. But yesterday I had such a great experience that it made me miss shopping in person. I didn't catch her name but she was the cashier and she was so professional and helpful that I would definitely go back just cause she was so sweet. If every store had an employee like her working for them I am sure a lot more ppl would go back to brick and mortar. read more

I was in the store for maybe 5 minutes and was approached by every. single. employee. multiple times like jeez just let me look at the shoes. Also when I was done looking and sat on the couch, one of them approached me and asked if I was "just chillin" basically hinting at me to leave the store even though the person I was with was still looking around. read more

I called to inquire about the sizing of a particular boot I was looking at online and Ari was so friendly, absolutely outstanding customer service. Thank you! read more

This was one of my best shopping experiences in soho in years!! I had such a great time going around the store and I was assisted by the best associate, Ellie who helped me find some great pieces to add to my wardrobe for the summer. She recommended items to me I couldn't even question because her taste is amazing l, and I'm so happy with my purchases!! Thank you!!!! read more

the sell there sucks, super racist. I went there on May 7, and I just want to try two shoes on, the guy was like: oh so which one do you want, can you understand my English. Anyways, I bought one and asked them to shipped to my house which in New Jersey. They did not shipped it. Yesterday I went there and asked them where is my item, the girl said she doesn't know what happened, but it did not shipped and give my shoes to me. However, when I get home, I found out both of them are left. read more

I had such a great experience here the other day -the sales guy was really helpful in getting me the correct size and even when I put him on the spot and asked him if he thought the shoes I was trying on would look good with skinny jeans!! Bless his heart -he said no. Gotta love the honesty. And I probably sent him back a half a dozen times for the same dang shoe in a different size! The staff were all very helpful and patient. And the displays were very prominent, without being cluttered. There were times when I bumped into a few of the displays in the front of the store -they were a little bit in the way, especially on a busy day! Other than that, such a pleasant experience. Can't wait to come again! read more

Steve Madden - Nice selection and displays -not too cluttered. - Shoe Stores Near Me - New York, New York

The shoes were nice to look at. They fit right. The sales person was pretty quick on his feet. The sale price was right. However, after 5 wears they fell apart. The eyelet came out and the shoe string tore through the soft leather. I'm not going to be back in NYC for another three months and didn't save the receipt so buyer beware. read more

I needed to get a pair of shoes quickly. The sales associates were divine and catered to my dilemma. I tried on three pairs of sandals, got an insider tip as to which one would be the most, and I walked out all within around 20 mins. I wish remembered one particular associate's name. He was a a one man band. Answering phones, ringing customers, and walking around handing out shoes. read more

Steve Madden - Sale! - Shoe Stores Near Me - New York, New York

Great sale on boots!!! Got two pair for the price of one!! Great selection of shoes and customer service was great.

Don't waste your time at this location. It's impossible to tell who actually works here and who is a customer so you find yourself sifting around trying to find that out... Once you find someone, expect to wait 20 or so minutes before waking out of the store because no one comes back to help you. Beware. read more

I just called the Steve Madden phone # to get help. I bought a fanny pack but the strap is too long to fit around my waist. Jaden told me to take back the item to the store. I want the item and just want the belt to be made shorter. No more future purchases from my family and leaving social media comments is what I can do to show my disgust for their customer unfriendly service. read more

I'm writing this review because "Candy" the sales gal was super helpful and deserves "Kudos". I actually bought some kick-ass boots across the street at "Steven" by Steve Madden, but while I was shopping my daughter calls from Cali to tell me she found the boots she just "has to have". And they are called "Jaxxon" and they are at Steve Madden...argh we were just there I tell her...kids! So when walking back that way on the other side of the street we pop into the Steve Madden store and I start looking to see if I can see them, can't find them of course... So "Candy" walks by and I ask if she can help me, She gets on the computer and searches and tells me not everything is online or has a picture but after much searching finds the name and sku no. And "NO" nobody has them in NYC, and I tell her "well I'm actually from California". She says" I can check there for you if you want"? Me: "Yes I want" Oh here there are two pair in her size in Emeryville, oh wait 1 pair in Pleasanton, is that close to you"? Me: "Uh yeah"!!! Candy " here is there phone number so you can call them and they can hold them or you can pay over the phone and they'll ship them" WoW sweet.... She was super helpful and didn't mind taking the extra time to help me even though it wouldn't make a sale in her store...now that's customer service. Thanx Candy for taking the time and going the extra mile. I come to NYC a couple times a year and I'll definitely stop back in. read more

So this store is laid out atrociously, on top of being in the middle of foreign touristoville where you can barely move an inch without being smashed by lost tourists gawking at the buildings/people/sidewalks, the cashier section is right when you walk in, providing a narrow entry to the store where you have to get past those in line. This however is not what prompted my review. I'd been on a hunt for flat black boots, and despite the Steven by my house in the village having adorable boots on sale, they were heeled and i knew that i must control myself. so I purchased flat boots online. the boot was much too narrow, so my normal size didnt fit. I called the soho store to see if they had a 7 in stock in the boot and if i could make exchanges. Thought it went ok until today, when I for one of the first times ever, checked my bank statement (as i cannot usually bear to see how rapidly i spend money). Rather than exchanging the boots, the incompetent children at Steve Madden had charged me another $217, so I paid for the boots twice. Now isnt that nice, had i not been going through my bill with a fine toothed comb to examine another prior and unresolved issue, i never would have known. I got to spend the next 45 minutes on the phone answering security questions with bank of america only to be told that the claims department was closed. Thanks steve madden, for charging me twice for a pair of shoes that cut my heels every time i walk in them (but being as theyre shoes, i didnt attempt to return them after wearing them enough to see that its clear the torturous nature of the shoe will not go away with "breaking in"), and for wasting what will be hours of my weekend attempting to resolve your double charge. Incompetent F*#@s. read more

Worst customer service in Soho. Store employees stood around more than assisting customers, complained about work on the sales floor and were overall unpleasant to deal with. Once I finally got assisted, I was given a pair of worn out shoes to try on. I requested another pair, only to be given the wrong size. When I spoke to one of the managers, she was just as negative and unhelpful as the majority of the people working there. She even interrupted our conversation to scream at one of her employees. Not professional. Do not visit this location if you're looking for a pleasant shopping experience. It's a shame one of Steve Madden's biggest locations is so poorly run. read more

I didnt visit the physical store because I'm from California but i had a great experience over the phone with an associate named Jackie employee number 304160. I fell in love with a pair of booties called the 'Trista' but was unable to get my hands on a pair from their online store and our local stores did not have them available as well. My local store told me it was only available in the New York location and upon calling , Jackie was able to help me with all my needs. She was very professional and went above and beyond by sending me pictures of the shoes as well so I could see the condition it was in! If I am ever in New York, I will definitely drop by this location and shop here since staff here provides excellent service!! read more

Quite the experience at the mothership of Steve Madden. I walked in to a real madhouse but still got amazing service regardless of the sales people yelling out "Size 9 for Amber?" Now I am not amber, but she was happy with her purchase. And so was I thanks to Mike. I placed my order and he knew how to help me find the perfect size. Its a true craze in there but the rush and the fact that Steve walks in from time to time makes it all worth it. Everyone needs to experience this location atleast once. read more

This is the most recently renovated of two Steve Madden stores on the Broadway strip in SOHO and it's the one I favor the most. It's shiny and fabulous and all of the heels, sandals and boots inside are simply gorgeous. Flavors and colors to dazzle you and the sales clerks are eye candy too. I always leave Steve Madden feeling like my net worth is much larger than it actually is because I'm able to purchase the sexiest, highest heels and matching handbags for very low prices. It's always packed and busy because Steve Madden is THAT shoe boutique. There are always specials going on and coupons available so get to this newest Steve Madden store on Broadway and shop. read more

There's some guy that works here that fully harassed me the other day. I was looking at shoes for my boyfriends Christmas present and had my phone in one hand. He goes "You can't take pictures." I said "ok". He then proceeds to stand in front of the shoe that I was looking at. I asked him what he was doing and he said "just making sure you're not taking pictures". I was so uncomfortable and not trying to cause a scene with this guy so I just left. I knew I wanted to purchase the shoe because I had already been looking at them online. I came back an hour later. I worked with another great guy who helped me pick out another shoe for myself. I had already set the shoes from earlier aside. The same weirdo guy was on his way out of the door and stop to talk to the person helping me and said "is he taking fucking pictures" and my person said "what? no. he's buying these" The whole experience was just odd and made me feel very watched. LOL I had no interest in taking pictures, but simply just to spend my money. Didn't even know retail stores had a "no taking picture policy". I mean you can literally look at the same shoe online. Anywho, someone needs to tell this guy (I'll find out his name and edit when I go back to switch shoe sizes) to get a grip. Pretty sure that's how you lose sales. BUT thank goodness the rest of the staff was nice and know what customer service means. read more

Some of the worst quality shoes I've ever purchased. I got two pairs of very similar boots around Christmas, and by late January the sole where it is glued to the top of the shoe began to wear away. By February they were almost unwearable, and now they are literally just bound for the trash. I emailed the company, but since I didn't buy the shoes "directly from them", they told me to pound sand and they'd do nothing. Never again will I buy this brand, and I was astonished at their absolutely caviler attitude towards customer service and doing the right thing. read more

I'm not sure about the in store experience, but the customer service on the phone was fantastic. I called, asked for a shoe size, they checked, and put it immediately on hold for me. Within 45 minutes, I walked out of the store with my brand new fall boots, the cognac Intyce. Extremely pleased with the quick turnaround. read more

Steve Maddens are the best! I just don't like how hard the shoes can be sometimes. I got a super-good deal on these sandals on sale for $19.99 from $6x.xx. I like Steve Madden shoes. It's hit and miss but it's a staple shoe store. Nothing super extraordinary but there you go. The Soho store is a bit oddly shaped ...a bit narrow but the merchandise remains the same. read more

Shoes, shoes and more shoes. If you are looking for a cute pair of shoes to go with a trendy outfit then this is the place for you. This store has a large selection of the latest styles. While all of the shoes look cute they are not all very comfortable. I'd say most are "going out" shoes rather then "wear to work" shoes. The store itself typically has loud music with young staff ready to help you find the perfect pair. If they don't have your size they will call around to see if any of the other stores in the area have them and they will ship them to your house. On my last trip there I managed to snag two pairs of sandals for under $100. One of the pairs was 20% off so that defiantly helped, but I thought that was a great deal overall since their shoes last forever! The price is reasonable and they often have items on sale for those that are shopping on a budget. read more

Decent attitude but always forget when you ask for a shoe size even when you remind them 2-3 or more times. Everytime my friends and I go there we would wait 20-30mins and still get nothing so we end up just leaving. read more

Everyone there (minus Lala who assisted me & the cashier) could care less about anyone that wasn't a white woman. Manny and his crew made it blatantly obvious they were not interested in the business of anyone outside of the previous descriptor. To the sales team on Broadway: Grow up. Thanks for the NYC packaged condoms. It's good to know that safe sex is encouraged here.

I walked by here and saw the sign on the window and my eyes nearly popped out of my head: buy one get one 90% off. I ran in like a little kid in a candy store and started trying everything on and accumulating a pile of "yeses," "nos," and "maybes" on the floor. The "nos" were picked up swiftly and taken back to the stock room. The staff was on top of their stuff: one employee to each customer. My man worked his butt off and got me everything I asked for. Unfortunately, due to the sale, their size selection was very limited but I ended up strolling out with a pair of flats and a dope pair of wedges for $86, oh and some NYC packaged condoms. Success. read more

Definitely the place to go to if you're looking for chic black heel. I purchased Landen in black, they are super comfortable and got tons of compliments. The staff was great, I was greeted by Manny and was told of the sale they were running. Later another associate Cici helped me pick out some black heels, she came back and was very attentive asked how I was doing, I was torn between two other heels but the staff was very helpful and we all decided I should go with Landen! The cashier Ketema was also really helpful! She suggested i buy a bag with my new heels and I picked up some socks too! They well all really great! It gets pretty crowded but the experience was great and the staff was very welcoming! Definitely will come back ! read more
