I specifically sought the expertise of an Arborist to trim and shape my young Eastern Red Bud trees, I also needed a large ailing pine tree cut down. When Curtis came out for the estimate I expressed this to him. The crew that came out did an excellent job removing the dying pine tree, but were not informed on what was to be done with the redbuds. After a phone call, they pruned a few branches and that was it. One clearly crossing branch that needed removal (per Curtis' evaluation) was left intact. I was not here at the time, or I would have refused to pay the entire fee. I contacted the office with my complaint, and was assured that they would make it right. Curtis and the team at TimberBeast were outstanding. They didn't just get a job done well, they exceeded what I expected in every way. TimberBeast had by far the most competitive price which was well below all of the other bids I received. Their tech-savvy follow-up, easy-to-ask questions online interface, professional demeanor, and timeliness really made a huge impact. Lastly, we were so impressed, we felt compelled to give each of the seven workers a $20 tip. We'd never experienced a company like this, which performed like a true team of professionals, who didn't swear, sit around doing nothing, or crank loud music while they were working. They were all respectful, courteous, and continually moving or cleaning, blowing or sawing something! What a great experience working with this company! They are friendly, professional, organized and quoted me a very fair price. Their receptionist was outstanding and called me a couple of times on the day of service to keep me updated on the crew's whereabouts and exactly when to expect them. My tree was really overgrown, and after the crew finished trimming it, it looked like an entirely new tree - it's gorgeous! Curtis quickly got back to me with a quote and worked with me to find an agreeable delivery day and time. And then unlike my usual experience....they followed up on time as planned! It really pains me to leave this review since I don't like to be overly critical of a small business, but maybe this will provide feedback for improved client service in the future. About 2 weeks ago I signed up for a free tree trimming estimate online and in less than 1 hr was given an email response and phone call to line up the estimate. Curtis came out on time and was very professional and extremely knowledged on trees and the type of work required. He seemed like a pretty good guy and had he provided me a written estimate right then I probably would have lined up the work and given a down payment on the spot. He said he would go over the pictures he took and provide a detailed email estimate later that night. A few days go by and I sent an email to remind about the estimate. No response. Another day or so I sent a text about the estimate. No response. Another day or so I sent a follow-up to the follow-up email. No response. The next day (a week after estimate) I finally called the number and left a voicemail. No response. Finally I moved on and called a couple more services to come out to provide estimates; they gave me write ups on the spot and were looking to schedule the work right away. Now what is really weird is that timber beast was the only service I approached for an estimate initially. An hour After Curtis came out and gave me an estimate a "Jose" called me and asked about scheduling an tree trimming estimate. Not really thinking about it ... With how Google works nowadays with it's unsolicited listening in, I just thought the internet was doing it's magic and sending another tree service my way. I scheduled an estimate with this "Jose" (whom I figured out owned And operated WB construction/landscaping through a Google search on the number) for the next day. Jose was a no show for the estimate and didn't call to cancel or let me know he wouldn't make. Not surprising because WB had pretty sht reviews as it is. It makes me wonder if Curtis didn't want to take the job for whatever reason and passed me on to "Jose" and WB construction/landscaping. If that's the case he should really improve with whom he refers jobs to and also be up front if he doesn't want to take a job. The only reason I can formulate he didn't want my job was because we are in Rochester hills and Curtis made comment that they really hadn't had much work out here. Maybe it's out of their zone, but this should be indicated up front before the estimate. This was by no means a small job, he verbally estimated the estimate to be around 1500$ for trimming and a tree removal. I guess business is doing very well to pass up such a lucrative opportunity. Again, it sucks i have to leave this because it's a small local business, but this is how service in a service industry improves. It's very weird also after reading so many other positive experiences... Which is exactly why I chose timber beast in the first place. read more

I needed a tree removed and two other trees trimmed. I called several companies who wanted me to wait a week for an estimate. When I spoke with Curtis at Timber Beast Tree Service, he came out the same day and left me a written estimate! I am very thankful that he was able to send a crew out to do the work within a few days. Curtis and his crew did a great job taking down some large pines in my yard. Communication was quick and professional. Job was completed ahead of schedule. Curtis and the Timber Beast crew did a large job at our home clearing saplings, underbrush, and cutting many large trees. The team worked hard, efficiently, and did a phenomenal job. They got an incredible amount of work done and really transformed our back yard at a very reasonable price. This guy is unreliable. I ordered wood from him on a last Tuesday and he asked if he could deliver the following Saturday morning between 10:30 and 11:30am. I agreed, and on Saturday I did not do my usual errands in the morning to wait for the delivery. He never showed. I called and left a message but he did not return the call. I sent a text message, but again, no response. I waited two hours for this guy and he never had the courtesy to call and explain himself. FL read more
