Very prompt attention to the tree we had fall in our yard. Would call again in the future. Also included the stump grinding in the process

The whole process could not have not been any easier! Gary quoted the job while I was at work so he came by the next day for us to sign the contract. We just bought the house in the late winter and he walked around the property with us and told us what kind of trees we had (to me, a tree is a tree). He explained what was going to bloom and when. We learned so much about our landscaping from him! The project involved cutting down a spruce tree that was touching a chimney (fire hazard, says homeowners insurance) and trimming a locust tree that was touching the garage roof. Thankfully he prepared me that locust tree had not been trimmed in very long time and had a lot of dead branches in it so they would wind up cutting it back by about a third. We still had not moved in yet and the crew was well into the job when I arrived the day they started the work -- and I'm so glad Gary mentioned that they would be cutting it back the locust tree so much. In hindsight, it really needed it! I saw the limbs and branches that were on the ground and they were in bad shape. The crew manager explained that the guy removed the dead stuff and cut it back off the roof and was in the process of shaping the tree so it was aesthetically pleasing. It wound up looking very good and I'm excited to see how it looks once it has leaves (should be soon as we're mid-April). The crew was in and our fairly quickly. The cleanup was amazing! You'd never know that they cut down a tree and did substantial trimming on another tree as every single twig was removed! I would definitely contact Gary again for any tree service! Thanks Gary! read more

Coffman's Tree Service - Locust tree after trimming - Tree Services Near Me

I have Three maple trees that were hanging low and getting pretty leggy. I called and Gary came out the same day and gave me a very fair quote for all of the work that needed to be done. Two days later the crew was on the job and were a marvel to observe. They have everything running efficiently and safely. Two hours later it looked like the had never been there. Beautiful job ! A logger friend of mine told me " take care of your trees or mother nature will do it for you " . I highly recommenced Gary and his crew, nice, hardworking guys. read more

We recently had a 90-foot tulip tree removed by Coffman Tree Service. We were extremely satisfied with their work and care not to damage existing landscaping and concrete driveway. They were totally professional and the owner was on site during the entire removal. Their pricing was reasonable and the service was outstanding. We would definitely recommend Coffman Tree Service. read more

Coffman's Tree removed a 25ft pine tree that was blown down in a wind storm. They came out promptly to view the tree & gave me an excellent quote for removal & stump grinding. I did not know but homeowners insurance does not cover fallen trees unless the tree hits something & damages a structure. I don't understand this logic. Anyways, Coffman came out as promised & was done in 1/2 hour. The stump was ground up 2 days later. Cost of tree removal & stump grinding was $400, a very good price. I would recommend this company, says he has been in business 30 years so he must be doing something right. read more

Knowledgeable, prompt, efficient and courteous. What else could you ask for? Had two large trees pruned and every aspect of the experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend! read more

I have used Coffman's Tree Service for several years now. They have cut down very big trees and very small ones. They have trimmed trees desperately needing it. Never once have Gary or his team let me down. Gary gives good advice on what needs to be done not only because he is very knowledgeable, but also because he really likes and knows trees. The pricing is more than fair and the work excellent. I cannot recommend him highly enough. You will not go wrong. read more

We had a very large tree blow down in a thunderstorm. I used Yelp projects to find a tree service. Coffman's responded in a timely fashion and came out the next day to give me a price. It was very reasonable. Several hundred dollars less than another business gave me. They were able to come out the next day and they did a great job removing the tree and cleaning up afterwards. They even leaned up the broken fence so my dog wouldn't escape the yard until I get that fixed. I would highly recommend this business. read more

These guys are amazing! Worked fast and efficient to help clean up some unruly mulberry's growing over from my neighbors yard. Totally worth the price which was fair and reasonable. I'd hire again in the future for sure! read more

Good job tree trimming. Difficulty communicating via telephone. Good communication in person.

Coffman's is the best! The crew was quick and clean. They really shaped our trees nicely.

I can't thank Gary and his fantastic team enough! I called for a quote last week and Gary was able to fit us in on his way back from a job that same afternoon. He was prompt, professional, courteous and knowledgeable--named off all types of trees in our yard for us (we just purchased the property and had no idea about some). He told us he'd call and let us know the day before they'd arrive to cut down some tree and grind stumps, and he was true to his word. They were able to safely--especially considering how close this one was to the house I was nervous!--a massive 20+ ft Sunburst Honeylocust tree, as well as a smaller 10 ft tree that was dying, and a bushy tree that was overhanging on our roof, and becoming a nuisance there. My husband was impressed by how quickly and efficiently they worked, and we appreciate that they were willing to leave the logs for us to use in our fireplace! Work looks great and the price was very fair! Great work guys! We'll definitely use them again!! read more

Excellent communication. Gary and his crew did an amazing job on my property. Thank you so much!! Highly recommended.

Gary is a super guy! We had him come out to do tree trimming and remove a couple of smaller trees. They did a wonderful job except they didn't remove the stumps for the 2 trees near our fence. Turns out that wasn't part of the quote because it's a whole separate thing. I didn't know that and was kinda not happy once I found out but Gary came back out and made it right with a discount on the services they did do. He didn't have to since the stump removal wasn't discussed or in the agreement and it was my assumption that it would be removed but he heard my discontent and came back out and made it right. So just be sure of what you need done and get it spelled out and use Coffman's to do it and you will be a happy camper or home owner or whatever you may be you will be happy with Gary and Coffmans! read more

Great service as always! They were on time and did a great job cleaning up the work. Will hire them again!

They provide quality, well-priced service for cutting down trees and cutting back bushes

We moved into a new construction house in Dec 2021 and noticed that two of the trees along our back property line looked pretty pitiful. We were hopeful that they weren't damaged during construction. Needless to say after watching for a year they were dead and needed to come down. We called Coffman's and they immediately responded. They scheduled a consult and quote for 2 days later and gave us an extremely reasonable quote for the two trees. When they came to do the work they were very thorough and careful to not Ruin the new laid sod that we had just put down. They were quick and efficient, and there was absolutely no mess left behind. We would absolutely call Then again if we needed tree service. read more

Gary was great. Fair pricing and very specific to what would be done. He takes pride in his work and isn't just looking for a money grab. His crew was awesome ! Very polite, answered all my questions, and asked for feedback while the job was being done. They were very efficient, worked as a team and the cleanup was amazing. Great job, quick and reasonable rates. They came when they said they would and left my property looking better than when they arrived.

We contracted with Coffman's to trim a large maple tree. His price was very fair and it took a very short time for his crew to come out to do the job. The tree looks beautiful and the limbs that were hangin over my roof are gone. I was completely confident in the crew and had no fear that there would be no damage done to my home or property. The next time I need a tree service, I will contact Coffman's again and will recommend the company to anyone who needs a company they can trust. read more

Gary already has a ton of five star reviews on here, but I'll add another. Responded very quickly to my estimate request. Was not pushy about the job, had 3 other quotes and his was the most competitive. Did have to bump my job a couple days due to an emergency job, but that was fine mine was not an emergency. His team was amazingly efficient. You can tell they know what they are doing. Will definitely use him again in the future. Had two pine trees that were diseased with the needles falling off cut down. Gary came out the day I call for a quote. On a large silver maple I had that I felt needed to be trimmed. After getting the rest of the quotes his was clearly the best. When I asked for proof of insurance he sent me over to his insurance company to email over the proof. Everything you would expect from a professional service. About a week later he and his crew came out, gave 24 hours and 1 hour notice. They were done in just about an hour. No cherry picker just a guy that quickly cleaned everything up. They chipped everything on site and cleaned up the yard. Great service. read more

Very good service. I misplaced the crew that trimmed my tree a few years back, but found Coffman's Tree Service using Yelp. They were quick and efficient. I would recommend you giving them a try should you require Tree Service. read more

This is the flyer Mr Coffman said was not his. Strange it has his name and phone number on it. He was extremely rude to my mother in-law. She was told for 1,200.00 he was going to completely remove the dead tree in the yard. When we came to the property most of the stump was still in the ground along with a big pile of tree grinding. Mr Coffman had made a Verbal contract with my Mother in-law that he had no intention of doing. When we arrived at the property Mr Coffman had my Mother in-law sign the estimate. Of course this estimate was after the work was done. Then Told is that Clean up is not his problem. It's in his contract and we should read it. This is bait and switch it's illegal and immoral to behave this way with elderly people. I'm glad I happen to be there to witness his behavior. He is a large man unshaven and tattooed who likes to raise his voice to intimidate people. It's easy to intimidate and push around the elderly. And they don't normally do google or yelp reviews. read more

Immediately after a huge storm that caused a tree to fall and hit our house, we called Gary and he came out to our house within 30 min. Gary and his crew did a great job from start to finish. He answered the phone (amazing because most tree companies don't call back), scheduled a visit, provided an estimate, scheduled a day to take our tree down, and did the work. They delivered exactly what was agreed upon and in a timely manner. I would definitely use this company again for future tree needs. Price was very reasonable. read more

Coffman Tree is the absolute best! Gary, the owner goes out of his way to make certain the crew has done what they were supposed to do! When calling Coffman Tree you do not have to leave a voice message - they answer the phone. Estimates are provided within a day or two. You will find their estimate to be one of the lowest, but in addition to cost, their integrity is what I am most impressed with. If you need trees removed, Coffman Tree cannot be beat! read more
