It is a bright and spacious coffee house, obviously very popular with the Western University students. They also have sandwiches, which I did not try, but they have a good selection. B served me, and she was friendly and efficient. They make their own doughnuts and loaves. I got an apple doughnut. It was filled with apple filling, some cinnamon icing on top, and it was fresh and not heavy. As a tourist, I appreciated not feeling rushed. A very pleasant place to have a coffee and pastry, even if you're not a student.

However, when they try to load said minimum, it doesn't work on one particular card (looks like evergreen branches, & you can hang it on your tree)! The barista patiently tried several different methods to upload the base minimum, but it just would not take! Personally, I believe these cards are U.S.-based, and needed the equivalent in CDN$$, but nowhere does it indicate that. Another, different gift card did work, at a lesser minimum. Oh well! The barista believes these cards were improperly labelled, and she will follow up with head office. Furthermore, on the stellar service front, the barista recommended toasting the Smokey bacon sandwich open face, for improved taste experience. Well done, Starbucks!! I ordered an iced tea made with earl grey and had to sweeten myself (totally fine) but that's a new concept to me. It was good but I probably wouldn't get it again. I should've ordered a hot beverage but after a spell in the toasty room holding the bazaar I needed to cool down. Their drink menu is pretty extensive, booze included.
