I stopped by this Tim Horton's location at Calgary International on both my way in and out of Calgary. I had some time to kill and they had their own little seating area for me to chill at. Tim Hortons is Canada's biggest coffeehouse chain. They serve coffee drinks, donuts, sandwiches, breakfast items and other fast-food items. Today there are Tim Horton locations all over the world. They are known for their Timbits donut holes. I am a coffee addict and had never been to one of these before. I tried one of their breakfast sandwiches and a deli sandwich on both my visits here. I thought their coffee was pretty good. The coffee here is a little more bolder and less sweet than the U.S (which I like). Tim Hortons offers many of your basic espresso drinks that you would find on any coffee menu. The Original Blend Double Double and Iced Capp are their popular sellers. read more

First time in Canada trying the real deal, it was so good! The Parmesan chicken flatbread pizza was astonishingly scrumptious - super flavorful and served fresh and hot. I opted for a side of ranch, and the combo of the two together was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and was surprised by how great the quality was. The timbits were the cherry on top! Conveniently located in the food court of YYC departures, on the second floor. The service was quick and efficient; there was no line when I went and was served right away. I ordered a coffee and a bagel. Surprisingly, the bagel wasn't under toasted (which I find is the case with many Tim Hortons). What language am I suppose to speak in Alberta? The staff don't understand English, Spanish, Latin, Korean or French? So I came to Tim Hortons just because of the popularity. I ordered the maple cream and my oh my was I surprised. The donut itself wasn't too greasy nor too dry. It was actually quite tasty but VERY sweet. The maple layer was a lot thicker and richer than the maple layer on normal American donuts, and it was filled with custard cream! My two favorite things! It was overwhelmingly sweet after eating half though so I would recommend to split. Prob won't be back anytime soon but may consider for future visits! read more

Arrived at the airport this morning at 6:00 AM for our 7:00 flight to Montreal. We popped into Tim Hortons for a quick breakfast. AMAZINGLY, they didn't have any breakfast sandwiches available at 6:00 AM. Why? did they sell out from a 5:00 rush? Is it poor inventory management? Is it incompetence? Is it indifference? My party of 4 ordered a combination of donuts and bagels, and although they were OK, it still makes me wonder about the management team here. Leaving a 1 star today because this Tim Hortons needs a major staff overhaul and evaluate how they service their customers because this location is rock bottom. It's really a joke! This Tims is located on the 2nd floor in the food court area near the kids airplane activity zone. If you want to ruin your Tim Hortons experience, try this place out. I'm surprised Tims would have staff working the counter on their own with no knowledge of the menu. To make our experience worse, they can't even speak English...no wonder they don't know the menu. Ordered a 12 grain bagel and the lady had no idea what I was asking for and had to grab another staff member to figure it out. Even better, they have a huge banner advertising $.50 cookies and they couldn't figure out that promo either and simply just charged me the full amount. My first time out in Canada & Tim Horton's was on my to-do list to see what the Canadian hype was. I'm not a coffee person so I didn't attempt to order their coffee which is what they're famous for. Plus I was coming in from a midnight flight so there was no way I was trying to stay awake. I needed food so I just needed something to fuel me for the next flight. Ordered: - Chicken sandwich: Tasted like any other regular chicken sandwich. The bread was a good bruschetta style bread, but nothing above average. It was a simple sandwich that was good enough from not eating since lunch time. - Nutella pocket: Um.... just 1? For like $1 something. It's basically a Nutella mini shaped churro. I love Nutella but this was okay to me. Service: Rude. When you're told "everyone" in Canada is nice?! The service here was rushed, quick, yet the longest line compared to the other restaurants. I wanted the Nutella donut & they unfortunately didn't have any. I had 3 things to order & I kept getting disrupted by the cashier to hurry up & pay. No "do you want anything else" type of questions, she kept giving me the price when I wasn't done yet. I wanted to give this place at least 3 stars, but when this is your first Canadian interaction, haven't eaten since lunch time & it's midnight already, & get service under average? Ordered a breakfast sandwich, hash brown and a coffee, after seeing a tv commercial about their "improved" breakfast menu. This was, by far, the worst tasting breakfast sandwich I've ever had at a restaurant in my entire life. Amazingly, even worse was the hash brown, which tasted like a week old generic frozen hash brown that was reheated in a toaster, which as far as I could tell was exactly how it was prepared. This Tim Hortons is a nightmare. They kept jumping orders and skipping 5-6 and forgetting about mine. It gets slightly busy and they lose their cool. I get that it gets busy but I mean all out chaos. The two ladies had no clue how to pull out of the weeds after another customer took someone's order by mistake. There are 5 locations I the whole airport. Convenient place for Tim Horton's to be located in the airport. During the late hours, only two people are working and it's a struggle to keep up with the long line. Oddly enough, they were out of most donuts and most iced capp flavors. After standing in line to order, there's another line to wait in to get the actual food. When I ordered my coffees, it took a couple minutes for it to be made- only to find it was the wrong flavor. They only had two flavors, I ordered the Oreo, and got the mocha. This is just a standard airport Tim Hortons. I liked the fact that it was full service enough to offer sandwiches and whatnot rather than just coffee and donuts and the like, but I noticed that Tim Hortons is doing away with the XS size cup, which greatly disappoints me as I adore the XS size from this franchise, it being the perfect size of a hot chocolate for me and my needs. The line up wasn't too long considering how busy the airport was at the time. I wonder how the nearby construction was affecting business. read more

We got here around 7PM on Monday and asked for one iced coffee. The lady at the countertop was in a hurry to close but said we could still order coffee. She gave us TWO hot coffees instead of one iced coffee we ordered and refused to give me change with the method of payment I made which was through a credit card. She just avoided eye contact and didn't move. I even said something to her and got no response. After hearing about my cousin raving about Timmy H's in Canada, I had to give it a try. I have had it here in Brooklyn by my job, but honestly it wasn't anything special. I figured something must have changed crossing the border, so why not give it a try in its home turf. We tried multiple items in two different airport locations and we enjoyed the savory food way more than the sweet. The breakfast sandwiches, wraps and regular sandwiches all were very fresh and tasty. I would definitely have these here again. Unfortunately, the pastries were lacking. Though the doughy part was soft and delicious, the toppings and fillings were subpar. There was maybe half a teaspoonful of cream in the Boston Cream Donut and the chocolate topping lacked flavor. Overall, Timmy H's didn't live up to my expectations, but maybe they were too high. I saw Tim Hortons at the airport while waiting for my flight and I got all giddy to try the legendary coffee and donuts. The service was slow and the guy who took my order made it evident that not everyone enjoys working with the public. Im sorry but the fries...were not chewable...they were rock hard and no not the potato chip kind of crunchy hard...would you believe me if I said the texture was both rubbery and chewy? It was like chewing burned rubber with nails embedded in it but I was so hungry I attempted to eat them anyways. I'm not exactly sure the location it is in the airport but I think it's the Tim Hortons upstairs in a food court (up the escalators) by Montanna's. The service was poor. They were rude and couldn't understand a simple order. I clearly ordered a sausage and egg breakfast sandwich. When I got my order and opened it, I received a plain sandwich with only a sausage in it. I took it back and told them this was not my order. They had argued with me and said that's what I ordered. They did absolutely nothing about it. It tasted so disgusting. I ended up throwing it out and got something much better on the other side where I needed to depart. Worst Tim Horton's ever!!!!! As an avid coffee drinker and Tim Horton's visitor I will admit this one really is horrible....on every account. Located on departures level on the 2nd floor right across the bar. It's always lined up and it never has anything. Not sure why since it's first thing in the morning, its 7:30am and they have run out of everything already? How is this possible? Ordered a XL coffee and a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese to go. Very simple order. Was told by the rude cashier they don't carry strawberry cream cheese? I pointed out to her on the menu board of the 4 cream cheeses they carry and strawberry is one of them. She was annoyed and told me they have never carried it. Okay, not looking to get in an argument so I stated I will have a plain bagel with plain cream cheese. She then told me they ran out of that. Okay....."How about you tell me what you do have and that's what I will have". Easy request. She then told me they had butter or jam???? It was obvious she wasn't looking to be helpful or cream cheese wasn't an option? I stated forget the bagel I will take a blueberry muffin. She then proceeded to tell me that I keep ordering things they don't have? Apparently I am a mind reader in my spare time? She was looking to argue with me and I just wanted a little something before my flight. At this point my patience ran out and I just wanted something......anything at this point really.
