Nice Asian flare of bakery items and breads. The staff behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. In back is a little cafe which we didn't try. Did I buy some bakery items and are very delicious Parking lot is small and shared with other businesses.

Matcha croissant for $4.95

Good selection of Asian themed desserts and baked goods. Delicious cheesecake. Pricey. I was ripped off since they overcharged me!!!! Check your bill before paying I have had wow bakery on my list to visit in calgary for a while now. Once inside there are endless options for desserts. I went straight for the cakes and got a matcha chiffon and cheesecake. Both were $34.95. The matcha chiffon cake was light and airy but mostly tasted like whipped cream. It was good but i didnt feel like it was anything special and i probably would not order this again. The cheesecake though was a hit and is very delicious and creamy. I also got a matcha croissant and Japanese mochi cheese pastry. Somehow those two items were $15!!! What a ripoff they over charged me somehow and I didn't notice until I got home the huge price gage. For this I was left with a sour taste in my mouth and won't be coming back. When I bought the cakes they offered me decorations for it and I asked if they were complimentary. They said yes and obviously I was charged!! Check your bill before leaving this place! They never offered me a receipt and now I know exactly why. Bc I was ripped off somehow. Check your bills. Check your bills. Bc they are not honest business!

WOW Indeed! One of the best bakeries have ever been in Calgary! Love this bakery so much. Just bought assorted pastries and bread from here for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed their offering. The bakery is clean and so cute! They had all sorts of green tea pastries, red bean buns, and other specialty bread. It's hard to say which pastry was our favorite, but we definitely loved their sweet garlic bread, strawberry cream cheese danish, and their sausage bread. I didnt get to try their red bean donut, but I am already planning on coming by soon and that is my favorite pastry of all time. They also offer cakes and special order cakes that you need for events. Definitely coming back and recommending WOW Bakery to friends and family!

Authentic Korean bakery, one of the best bakeries in Calgary! Although their prices are a bit high, everything here is absolutely delicious! They have breads, pastries and cakes. I tried the matcha bread, madelines, and sweet potato bun. All were great, but I think the madelines were my favourite!

Awesome delicious cakes! It's not overly sweet. I've tried their Tiramisu and Green Tea ones.

What an amazing shop! I picked up a last-minute earl grey cake. It was a walk in and the staff were super accommodating. It was a really pleasant experience, the cake was perfect value for money, and the packaging was fun. Highly recommended, very friendly and efficient staff!

Clockwise: Green Tea Swiss Roll, Matcha Green Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, Cheese Soufle Cake

What a neat bakery! So different from the usual Asian bakery. Tried their Matcha Green Tea Swiss Roll, Cheese Soufle Cake, Matcha Green Tea Croissant and the Chocolate Croissant. All so good.

Hidden bakery right by Chinook mall. Purchased the earl grey cake it was super fluffy the taste was mediocre but for sweet craving this works! Also got couple of their pastries, pricing was a bit high for the quality. But for a quick "asian" snack after shopping this is the place to go

Ever since we had kouign amann almost a decade ago in a French patisserie in Quito, Ecuador of all…read moreplaces, my husband has been on the hunt for the best kouign amann wherever we travel. The bad news is, there is no good kouign amann in Seattle or anywhere in the western US (so far, by our calculations). The fantastic news is that there IS stunningly delicious kouign amann in Calgary! I first balked at La Boulangerie because I had bookmarked two other bakeries to try. But I'm so glad we came here. Walking up to the storefront, I took in the quaint outdoor tables and the people enjoying a coffee and brunch. The first language I heard outside was French, which only added to the idea that we were in the right place. It wasn't busy when we walked to the counter at an off hour during the week, but I could see this place being slammed on a nice weekend. Do yourself a favor and take the time to look at all of the treats in the case. I had no idea which one to pick, but I'm so happy I went with the pear marzipan croissant - something I wouldn't easily be able to find at home. The savory breakfast crepes were tasty but could have been enhanced by a sauce on the side - the ingredients inside were a little dry. The Nutella latte was AH-MAZE-ING. Sweet, hazlenutty, but not overpowering. I immediately looked up a recipe for a future attempt to recreate it at home. The standout by far was the kouign amann, which comes in more than one flavor (insert mind blown emoji here). My husband chose a vanilla-filled one. Holy lamination. The layers, the glaze, the crunch. The vanilla cream filling was somehow both fluffy and delicately flavored yet sturdy enough to survive a day in the car. If I could fly back to Calgary every weekend just to buy a single kouign amann from this place, I would. Service was wonderful and we were surprised that that instead of calling our number, the staff walked each component of our order out to us. Highly recommend. Please visit and fulfill all your kouign amann fantasies!

Well, according to Reddit they're the best, so I found out. Went down there from Hidden Valley and…read morepopped in for breakfast on SAT May 30. Took the wife down there for a surprise, she got the plain omelet and I got the bacon and egg on a croissant and a london fog and mocha for drinks and two more croissant to go ....... Easy enough to order, the place was busy, and great service but was it $50 bucks good ..... yes once ! :-) My only real question is who the hell pays $6.50 for one croissant? That was nuts - ok maybe for $10-15 in a sandwich like breakfast but NOT for one croissant. If they were the only game in town and you were Jonesing for one ok but no........ As a test the wife went to Costco the next day and grabbed a pack of theirs and to be honest we got 12 of them for $8.00 bucks or $67 cents each. Yes, the La Boulangerie is larger by 20% or so but $0.68 is a far cry from $6.50 for ONE croissant, now in looking at the neighbourhood and the nice cars driving by I get it - but no sorry not for me! Maybe if you were the French Ambassador to Canada and you grew up eating them you might notice a difference in taste or you're a molecular chemist and KNOW - otherwise they tasted the same.

Picked up a couple sweets and croissants from here. The croissants are colorful and filled, which…read moreis appreciated from both an aesthetic and taste perspective. There's some seating inside and a couple small tables outside; casual place. Most people seem to get their orders to go.
