Ordered size 27 baggy jeans for my daughter as was recommended, but we got them and they were huge! I measured them and the waist was 31 1/2"! Not only did I have to create a label for $6.95 to return them but then but then I was charged for shipping anyway. Very disappointed with their pricing. They had a sign that said 20 percent off the rack and was buying a tank top from the rack and they tell us that that item isn't on sale! If that was the case then they should have specified only on the swim trunk!!! I will never shop there again and I'm going to return the tank top. They've removed my comment and my pictures of the shoes and the letter I received from Nike. Posting again as I am NOT breaking any policy set by yelp. This company is paying to have yelp remove negative reviews. DO NOT BUY CONVERSE HERE!!. I bought a pair a converse here in May and they started to fall apart by September. Went into Tilly's who told me to contact the manufacture, Nike. I contacted Nike who sent me a return authorization. I sent them in and got a letter stating they were counterfeit converse. After 3 weeks of dealing with Tilly's they gave me a full refund and said they would give me a coupon for the extra $18 I had to spend shipping my shoes to Nike and dealing with the hassle of buying their fake converse. Today I got the coupon and it's for 15% off my "online" order with free shipping, the catch, anything worth 15% off is specifically excluded from the coupon... what a joke. This company needs to be sued. I'm pissed at how they handled this. read more

Today I went to the store with my daughter and 1 year old niece. We were in the store with only 1 other customer and spent about a total of 10 mins before the baby started to whine. As I carried her to settle her down, I was approached by "Justin" of "loss prevention". He stated to me that his manager "McKinley" said in his earpiece that he needed to talk to the baby because she was being too loud. I was taken back and asked him to repeat what he just said. He said "my manager said the baby is crying and needed to stop". By this time the baby still in my arms has stopped whining because obviously before I was approached, I was settling her. I then asked Justin to send his manager McKinley over To talk to me because I was confused. McKinley, not even introducing herself, comes up to me and says "can I help you". I said "are you the manager"? And she says "yes". I say, that I was confused, the baby was whining but what did you want Justin to do, quite our baby"? She said "that's not what I meant". I said "what did you mean then"? McKinley says, "the baby was making noise". I said "yes that's what babies do" and walked away from her in shock. On our way out, Justin apologized over and over saying it was a misunderstanding. The one and only other customer in the store who overheard the conversations came up to me and apologized. There was no misunderstanding here. The manager had the audacity to send her employee to tell me a 1 year old was making noise. I am appalled and disgusted. Especially someone in a manger position would think this would be okay. I felt discriminated against because we are of mixed nationality with brown skin tone. On our way out another family of Caucasian decent came in the store with a young child who was also making noise. Your manager did not take a second look at them as she folded shirts. Nor did she apologize after she saw that she offended our family. I have never heard of ANYONE IN ANY BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT TELL A FAMILY THAT THEIR 1 year OLD IS MAKING NOISE and all while the store music blasting. Be careful bringing your baby here because they don't allow babies to cry! read more

My encounter here at Tillys today was atrocious. My friend and I went to go try on some clothing, and the girl named Alexis, which is the manager, was extremely rude. She gave us a side eye with a dirty look and then proceeded to just grab the clothes from us and put us in a room without saying a word. I can understand she's probably having a bad day however her behavior was not unacceptable. The cashier upfront said that happens often, I'm extremely disappointed in how the stores ran, and the dressing rooms were filthy. read more

I love this tillys! The store is pretty big so it's easy to find great selections. What really stands out about this store vs the VG Tillys is the customer service!!! Everyone here has been pretty awesome! At vg they just ignore you and turn corners to turn away from you! Here the employees have been attentive, friendly, and not pushy. Go to Victoria Garden Tilly's for excellent customer service!! I'll tell you why! The Night store Manager Myron at this Upland store has terrible customer service! Rude and unhelpful! As a store manager you should know your own store's return and exchange policy.. I went to exchange some items that I originally purchased with Moola Cash.. When they did the exchange they charged me full price and the store manager completely disregard the fact that I used Moola Cash.. I was charged more than what I originally paid.. I even requested to cancel the exchange and refund because I'm not being credit my $20. Nope! Instead he said ok now your total is $56 when I originally only paid $40! I requested to speak to a manager above him he couldn't give me any information but her name.. Not even the store's number or approx what hour she would be in to assist me.. I requested information on Moola Cash policy and it's limiting on refunds and exchange and his response was "I already helped you as best I can" but how? When he was overcharging me with no explanation! I earned that Moola Cash! Go to Victoria Garden Tilly's!! The manager there knows the policy and we're so helpful!! They were able to make the adjustments based on the exchange receipts from he Upland store.. and was able to credit me the $20 to my new order.. I was only charged $36 Rather than the $56!! read more

This place needs more reviews. (and good ones.) Ryan helped me with shoes and in the fitting room. Very friendly and courteous. Todd also helped me during my shopping. Tyler was friendly and quick to help at the fitting rooms. Matt was excellent at finding me different sizes quickly while I tried clothes on and was prompt to help me as he knew I was looking at watches, as well as overall very observant. He was also able to help accurately size my Nixon watch by guess while I continued to try on clothing. Awesome job. =) The guys mentioned all worked the floor smoothly and with ease and seem to work well together and with customers with a sense of urgency. The brunette whose name I did not catch who checked me out was quick to ring me up and get my watch in the box and I was out the door in no time. She also recommended a close by crystal store when I asked for one. =) Thanks for the quick, great service guys. read more

We were on our way back to LA from Redlands when we chanced upon a sign for Tilly's. It is the only place that sells jeans that actually fit me (jeans for boys) so we stopped hoping that I'd find the kind that other Tilly stores are out of stock of. JOSHUA, the sales rep, was extremely helpful. The item that I wanted to see wasn't in stock and Joshua went all the way to the back to check if they have a pair hidden or just not displayed. We had no luck in that department though. He didn't find any. But I found the adidas sneakers that I've always wanted but seemed to be elusive. And found a pair of jeans that turned to be a great fit. It was a pleasant experience. The store has a lot of items to choose from and the atmosphere is very clean and organized. Plus, the reps are helpful and friendly. read more

I really like tillys and I was happy that Upland finally got one until I walked in and the male manager tried to help me and my brother out with clothes. He was too pushy and came off very rude. My brother picked out a shirt from a brand that he liked and the manager said "you think you can pull off that brand?" as he laughed at my brother. He kept making snide remarks towards the clothes my brother was picking out. He kept trying to get us to buy more things even though I told him we had enough. He was too pushy and very rude and I refuse to go back. Now we just go to the one in Montclair. If you're going to be a manager, learn how to help your business grow instead of pushing people away and laughing at others when they want to buy certain brands from your store. I hope this manager gets moved to another store. read more

Bad customer service experience! I went Saturday before Father's Day to buy my husband gift so I spent almost an hour looking for clothes and sizes but they were running low on the XL size in shirts and also not a big selection. Finally I head out to the register to pay, my 6 months old baby was been fussy by this time so yep time to go. I swipe my card and it gets decline but the guy cashier tells me that his register froze and they need to reset it, ok no biggie, then he calls his manager to have the register reset and she says it will be a second. Ok then he rings me up again and I'm about to swipe my card but the girl manager that was standing there tells me I can't swipe a card that has been decline cause it's their "policy" I'm like what do you mean? This is the only way of payment I have besides like $20 cash (who carries cash anyway?) so she says again I can't swipe my card because it was declined to which I said well but that wasn't my fault it was your guys register that froze so it has nothing to do with my card. She insisted I couldn't swipe it again because it's their policy and because my card will get decline again and there is no point in doing it! Wow!? Really? So what am I suppose to do? How am I suppose to get my husband his Father's Day gifts? So I leave the store frustrated and I'm standing in the parking lot with a crying baby thinking what else could I do? I was running out of time and options and made it worst that my baby wasn't cooperating do I think quick and said well let me go back in and try to get him a cheap shirt for less than $20 so sure enough I find a shirt for $17.99 and go to the register to pay for it. Another cashier helped me so I'm about to pay in cash but I said to myself "you know what just swipe your card let's see what happens!" So sure enough swiped my card and the charge goes through! Like really?!!!? Wasn't the other so called manager told me my card couldn't be swiped anymore and it will get decline if it did it again?! So this is what you call customer service?! So at this point I was frustrated, mad and disappointed about this situation. I just didn't feel like going back again look for more clothes and pay with my card and none the less look for that manager and tell her "look I was able to pay with my card!!!!!!!". What it should have been a hour shopping trip took almost 2 hours! I'm very disappointed on this store and their associates! Won't shop at this tillys again! read more

1 Star is being nice... I went with my mom and sister, we weren't even greeted at the door because the two female employees at the register were chit-chatting. I can't shop there for anything since I'm pregnant, however I saw a watch that my husband would love. The supervisor saw me there and I lingered and looked over to her for help but she never asked if I needed help or anything. I walked away but then thought I'd at least like to know the kind of watch it was so I could find it elsewhere for him, so I went specifically to the register, waited while they finished their conversation and then asked to get a price for it. As we approached the case I pointed to the watch when she then stated "it is one of our more expensive watches" I responded with "Ok, id still like to know the price, I'm trying to find a watch for my husband for his birthday, money isn't an object" she looked at me as if it was (I wasn't dressed super nice, I'm a mom to 2 children with my 3rd on the way, I was dressed comfortably). Whatever, I'm not buying it from them now but I needed the name, got that and continued walking around with my mom and sister which price wasn't an object to them either but no one offered to help them with anything, let alone open a dressing room. When (finally) finished we went to pay and I had a coupon, they scanned it and it said it had been used, again, I can't shop there as nothing fits me so I don't even bother to go in. The supervisor Jordyn told the girl that was ringing us up that I had to have used it.... nope! So she comes over and asks to see my coupon and I gladly show her. It is one from my email and she still tells me that I had to have used it... girl come on! Whatever. She then walks away and says I'm sorry there's nothing I can do.... so here I am telling all you yelpers that Upland tillys is not the place to shop. They are not helpful and their customer service is terrible. They will not get my business ever again and I will turn everyone I know away from them to avoid their prices and disrespectful employees. read more
