Highly disappointed in everything about this "restaurant". Whomever is in charge should be fired immediately and replaced with someone who actually has worked in the business before. Poor placement of signage at the road makes it difficult to find where to turn in. You drive up a long driveway with no signage and things get worse from here. For a restaurant set on a FARM one would think that parking wouldn't be an issue, IT IS. Once again NO SIGNS and parking is RIDICULOUS. With all the property here, why hasn't a portion been cleared, paved and marked close to the entrance (Which is another joke!) After making our way to the top and finding a place to park we weren't sure if it was the right place because it's so far away from what we believed to be the restaurant. We drove back down closer and we're going to park there ,but there was only one car and a sign on what appeared to be an apartment door marked with a sign that read "PRIVATE". We drove down closer still to the red barn where the restaurant is supposed to be and parked just across from it on the shoulder of the road. I tried several doors before I found an open one. AGAIN NO SIGNS!!! I made my way inside and was greeted by an unnecessary 8 foot tall LED flatscreen menu and an empty Hostess stand. Not far to the right is a long bar and behind it was a woman who I thought might be a Bartender who shot me a glance and while talking on her cell phone the entire time made her way through a doorway at the opposite end and disappeared with beverage in one hand and cell phone on the other. She reappeared from the doorway closer to me and continued talking on her cell phone. She began writing whatever on scrap paper while holding the phone to her ear. This continued for a few minutes. As I was about to leave she attempted to hand me a menu while STILL ON THE PHONE.‍ No greeting, no nothing, very low class. I asked if they were open or if there was an event. She indicated they were open with a facial gesture. I told her "It's confusing as to where to park. She said in front of the barn or up top. I went back out and told my friend where to park and we both came back inside. After a few minutes we were finally brought into the dining area which wasn't as big as I was expecting. It was Brunch time and we passed a long table of food that looked like it came out of a box from a Sam's Club as we were seated.. Evidently the people who were in the dining area already didn't mind as the table had been trashed and never replenished with any fresh food. It looked like a child's birthday party table. We sat down at a two top table with a beautiful view of the farm and the road we took to get here. This was the best part of our stay. THE VIEW OUTSIDE. One look at the menu offerings and the OUTRAGEOUS $30.00+ price up top and we got up and left. I might add that we sat for awhile and NOBODY came to us and NOBODY came after us to ask why were leaving. There are outstanding restaurants in Manhattan where you can go for Brunch for less where the Service, Food and Atmosphere are top shelf. This place is an enormous waste of Putnam County Taxpayer's money and I don't imagine it will be open for much longer unless MAJOR changes are made. They need Gordon Ramsey to turn this place around. Had to rate 4 stars, only because it took a while for our dishes to come out. Otherwise, the food here is delicious! Chicken Milanese was refreshing and flavorful - great portion size. Ravioli was more on the buttery side, but still good. The baked clams were great, but small so definitely would recommend getting the 12 instead of 6 shells. Great evening spent at Tillys! I made a reservation days in advance and would highly advise if you plan on coming on the weekend. Sign at front entrance was large and obvious with the giant farm as backdrop. Not sure why some yelpers got all verklempt about parking , cant find the dining area,.?? Some handicapped parking spots are clearly marked directly across from restaurant. I drove a little further up the hill to a large dirt/gravel lot. I was checking out all the buildings that serve different purposes (education, farm, historic) as I walked down the hill to restaurant. I was greeted by friendly bartender and hostess. I got lucky w/ a request to dine on outside deck. While walking through the place I noticed how bright, clean, and welcoming this place was. The weather was perfect as the sun was setting beneath the rolling hills with some ponies mowing the grass and a miniature horse hanging by the barn. We started the meal with nice warm rolls while perusing a pretty extensive cocktail/wine menu. I ordered cesar salad for appy & lobster ravioli for the main. The salad was huge and could have been shared w/my dining partner. The lobster ravioli was also a hefty portion with plenty of sweet tasty lobster chunks inside and out. The cream sauce was rich and delightful. I skipped dessert as I was afraid to get a DWB (driving while bloated) on my hour journey south. I will definitely return during the summer months and spend some time walking the grounds. read more

This is a unique restaurant located on the Tilly Foster Farm in Brewster, NY. I had the Surf & Turf (filet mignon and broiled lobster tail). It appeared to me that the steak and the lobster tail were a little bit lighter than described, but everything was high quality and prepared properly. This "farm to table" style restaurant is well kept, and the service is very good. The grounds upon which it is located are expansive and beautifully maintained working farm land. The farm has many regularly scheduled farm related activities for all ages, and is ideal for everyone interested in farm lifestyles. It's not cheap, but it's not unreasonable either. REALLY wanted to like this place... it is clean and nice vibe... outdoor seating... beautiful grounds... but the food is not good. I have heard several local friends say "the food is just ok" but wanted to see for myself. The eggplant appetizer was so salty I could barely finish my bite... no one wanted to take it home. My burger was not juicy the bacon was overcooked. My friend ate 1/2 of 1 fish taco said just couldn't do it. Nice place to have a drink... other ppl outside saying they have tried food here a few times and each time disappointed. Amazing atmosphere, food and service! We live in the area and had been wanting to try Tilly's Table for some time now. We asked to sit outside (in January) because of COVID, but found out very quickly even with the heaters it was too cold. The staff was extremely helpful and we were able to get a table inside away from any other patrons. The food and drinks were both incredible! We had the mussels in white wine sauce, calamari, roasted beet salad and I had the lobster roll which comes with TWO lobsters rolls and fries. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well and the drinks were just as good. Our waiter, Corey, was extremely attentive and food came out very quickly. My only complaint is the calamari was a bit chewy, but overall a fantastic experience! read more

Very disappointed. Went for their Easter buffet brunch with my family. Advertised as $35.00 per adult. Actually was $48.00 per adult! Yes. Got there at the designated time. (3 different time seatings).Lobby was filled with people waiting to get in. The last seating was still in the dining room. Very uncomfortable and very unprofessional. Hostess was on her phone, not really dealing with the problem. When finally got seated (mass confusion) the line to the buffet was 15 minutes long...at least. Some foods were cold. They ran out of dishes...had to go to plastic plates...ran out of silverware...had to wait for it. No one came to take a drink order...ever! No one cleared the plates. This was our first visit and it will probably be our last. My wife had been reading about the place and for quite some time she had been nagging me to make the 35 minute drive to check it out. We itried the weekend brunch. The only good thing was the size of the portions, but it didn't matter much as all the food was mediocre at best. At the buffet, the bagels were lame, and the lox was salty. The two dishes we ordered were also lame. There was not much crab in the crab cakes and no taste at all in the pasta dish. The service was just a little better. The staff was friendly enough but I had to make a big effort to get their attention when we needed drink refills. The place was very loud even though it was only about 1/4 full. It's a noisy room. And there were flies both at the buffet table as well at at our table. read more

I made sure I've visited the restaurant twice before writing a review due to the many bad review in regards to service. On both my occasions (within a few weeks of each other), I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. I love the cozy/lodge atmosphere and the food is delicious. It is a little pricey but again the food was delicious. The porkbelly app is simply out of this world and I had one the best stuff (though not really stuffed just put on top of the chop) pork chop in quite some time. My husband had a burger, cooked exactly to his liking and said it was a really good burger. They are not skimpy on portions and all the flavor was there. Service, Service, Service once again foils the restaurant. Completely disorganized and out of sync. For starters, the parking lot is up on a hill not directly associated with the restaurant. This is no problem, but when you walk down the hill, you're facing the back of the place with no signage at all how to get in. So you're left to mill about until you find the entrance. We went in the wrong door into a private upstairs dining room. No biggie, but annoying nonetheless. When we finally figured out how to get downstairs and find the hostess, she left us standing at the desk for too long while she was seated finishing her text conversation..... "SURVEY SAID....X!" After we were seated, it took too long to be greeted by the waitress, then, seriously, no bread, no water..... nothing. She took our drink order and it took literally 20 **cking minutes for the drinks to come out. We just sat there. No bread, no water, no drinks. Bar must have been busy right? not a chance. Zero patrons at the bar. The restaurant was not even that busy. When the main course came, no one had bussed the table to remove the appetizer dishes. The table was small, so this young kid giggled nervously as he tried to cram two huge dinner plates among the app plates. Then I took over. I told him to put the dinner plates over there (so I can watch them), buss the goddamn table, then bring them back. Here are some plain ole'facts beyond my story. 1. Food was properly prepared, steaks were good and tasty 2. mixed drinks were not good. not only is the bartender slow, he's bad. 3. Wait staff is not properly trained. 4. Bread, butter and water, should almost follow you to your table, it should be there within minutes of you sitting. 5. coffee came with half and half pods, like a diner. You don't have a little stainless steel cup thing? Low rent. 6. Bus boys had zero personality, they looked like someone just strangled their cocker-spaniel. 7. Bad service will kill a restaurant. when this place opened you couldn't even get in. Now..... Sat night? nearly empty. If this place has a manager, he's not doing shit to save this place. It's a shame the food was pretty good, but again, NOT worth the aggravation. I paid $250 to eat there...Sorry, but no. 2 mixed drinks, 1 app, 2 steaks, 1 dessert, 1coffee, tax, tip, $125per person. Dont listen to any of the negative reviews. I chose to come here for birthday brunch and they exceeded any expectations. First of all, the parking is in a spacious lot, once you drive up the entrance hill you hang a right and the lot is a 30 second walk from the restaurant. Once you're inside, you will find yourself in a large, welcoming, and spacious farmhouse style restuarant. The staff was so welcoming and friendly and led us right to a quiet two top table right by the window. They immediately served us waters and mimosas and we went to indulge in the buffet table. The pastries and every other option on the table, including caprese salad and penne pesto pasta salads, were obviously homemade and fresh. The menu seems limited, but only because the kitchen staff is obviously dedicated to directing their full attention into those items. My guest had steak and eggs (which was cooked a to a perfect medium rare) and I had the spaghetti carbonara (which was enough to feed a family of four.) I never write reviews on yelp, but I felt compelled to defend this amazing restaurant against the Manhattan dwellers who want to find something wrong with every restaurant in the Hudson Valley. Other dishes the table ordered were meh. Service was slow and lackluster. Servers kept walking back and forth from the kitchen to the bar area but never stopping by dining tables so as mentioned no water refills, couldn't order a new drink, they brought wrong side dish out, didn't ask about the gross tough chunk of meat they called a filet - all of these simple things weren't addressed because our server never came back to our table. Great Sunday brunch prices and believe you me, you get what you pay for in portions. They are huge!! You can probably even pay for one and eat for two! Nice staff and the bartenders on the other side are great too. Last time we were there we were treated to buy backs, a VERY rare commodity these days and something I've hardly seen happen outside of NYC. Prices aren't cheap but I'd rather pay for nice atmosphere, service and good food and have something classy around here to choose from. My wife and I went on a Thursday evening for dinner and it was a really great experience. It's an extremely comfortable atmosphere, and the staff is all very friendly. Steven our waiter was excellent, very helpful and attentive but not overly. They were able to serve us gluten free pasta and everything was delicious. Went to a wedding here and was disappointed. The cocktail hour was in the bar area which was fine and had a nice selection of drinks. Then we had to walk outside to a another location for the reception. The "bar" was a few folding tables set up with fewer selections than we had at the cocktail hour, so quite a few of the guests had to modify what we were originally drinking. The dinner was buffet and everything was cold, not even room temperature. We also had to bus our own tables. There were plenty of empty plates and glasses left on the tables that we just picked up and disposed of ourselves. We were also served drinks in plastic cups towards the end of the event. The bathroom was also a disgrace. Not only dirty, but toilet paper holder was broken so toilet paper was just placed on the handicap railing. (Had to use the handicap stall as the other two stalls were unusable). They really need to run a tighter ship here. There wasn't even a noticeable manager to speak to regarding any of this. read more

We had my daughter-in-law's baby shower at Tilly's Table. It was one of the best catering halls I've ever been to! The food was incredible; they even gave us two extra dishes for free! The interior of Tilly's is warm and cozy. It was a chilly day and the fireplace was on [as well as decorated beautifully; very well done]. The tables were set up as requested; the staff was very accommodating and professional, as well as very friendly and helpful. They were also amazingly efficient; the appetizer table became the dessert table so quickly and quietly that I didn't even notice! And the price they gave us per person was better than any other catering hall! Plus, at the end when we paid, they were very accommodating about working with us, and allowing us to pay using two credit cards, etc. I would highly recommend Tilly's Table for any catering event, as well as dinner or Sunday brunch. Tillys was a TERRIFIC experience. I took my family there on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious, and the portions were unusually large. In fact, each dish was enough to feed more than two people! We ordered filet mignon, lobster, burger, balsamic chicken etc. Everything was incredibly tasty. In addition, they had lovely live music -- an extra special treat for all of us; the musician was fabulous (they have different acts rotating through so it's not always the same artist). We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tillys and will be back soon. (The only reason why I am not giving five stars is because the service was a bit slow; but just be prepared to relax and enjoy the music and atmosphere while waiting for your food). :-) read more
