I head straight to the clearance. If you want a deal this is your spot. I regularly find name brand shoes for the low low. Anywhere from 30%-70% off - now that's a deal!!! I rarely buy shoes here at regular price, but their selection is HUGE. I always browse the aisles, and there is literally tons of different styles. Prices range from cheaper to expensive. Their handbag and accessories always seem overpriced in my opinion. Not as common to find a deal in that area. They have a small sock/tights section up towards the cash register. The best thing is the coupons. It seems like I receive many offers and deals in the mail, and a birthday $10 off is any girl's best friend.

I learned this is a franchise boutique that has been open in town for about four years. The style seems to mostly appeal to the high school/early college set while the prices are more appropriate for soccer moms. Although I found several cute things, the quality of the clothes did not give me hope that the items would last for very many washes or for more than one season. Prices were a bit high (around $50 average, per piece) compared to similar styles at chain stores and there were no plus size options. It was a fun stop to look around, but not where I plan to do a majority of my shopping.

I asked an associate what size was equivalent to a woman's 9 1/2 in a men's Hey Dude. She stated a Men's 11. She was WRONG! After doing a google search. It was a men's 7. Well, they were out of stock of ALL Mens 7's. It was suggested a I get men's 8. I got the men's 8. I've purchased several pair of hey dudes this for my oldest son year. Then, earlier in the week I purchased a boys 6/7 hey dude for my son, again they were out of stock, so I had them shipped to my house. I showed the purchase to the cashier asking her that with my new purchase in my had today, and the online order if I could spin the wheel. The cashier wasn't sure if I could or not. Confused she turned to the female manager working and asked if I could spin the wheel. The manager asked for my ID. Not sure what my ID had to do with spinning the wheel, but ok, I showed her my ID. The manager said yes I could spin the wheel. She walked into the office, she came back out and asked me what I ordered. I told her I didn't order anything, I ordered online it was shipped to the house, showed her the order. She was so mad at that point, then YELLED AT ME! Then said NO!! You can't Spin the wheel! I was shocked!! Wow! She must really hate her job to treat customer like this! In shocked I left. 12/12/2022 shoes were too big, I return to the store to return the hey dudes that I purchased. The cashier was very nice in the return process. Asked why I was returning them, I stated they were too big, that I needed a 7. I would go look on the floor, but last I looked you didn't have any, and I could not order online either. The SAME female manger walked up disrupted our conversation jerked the shoes off the counter looked at the bottoms of the shoes. I said if they were worn they were worn in the store and tried on again at home, that was it. She then threw them in the box. This manger needs to not have this title as a manager. She needs a reality check. I have filled out the survey online, and corporate has been in contact with me and stated that this will be looked into and will be resolved. This manager is down right rude and needs to be retrained. I will never set foot back in the NorthCrest Shopping Center Shoe Carnival Again.

There is a heated pool in the hotel I am staying and darn it, I was going to use it! 2) my brother needed new sneakers 3) we both needed new gloves. We both had a pair but needed one that allow you to text message. Why? The company I work for, which also had just hired my brother use an app on your phone to give you access to enter through the doors. You better be able to touch your screen of you won't get in. Problem is... if it's cold as heck you don't want to take off your gloves. I easily found the swim trunks... a bit pricey for my taste... $40. We went to the shoe section and got my brother a new pair of sneakers that comfortably fit and were reasonably priced. We were helped by the employees manning that section. Gloves... that was a nightmare. Finding the section wasn't easy and required me to ask someone for help... when I got there that section was a mess. Took me 30 minutes to find the type of gloves we were looking for and in our size... ridiculous. If they had all sections of their store as well managed as the show area... this would be at least a four star review. Still since I am finding my way around the area if I need winter clothes or shoes... I may find myself here again.

I've noticed Big Lots prices are lower than local alternatives, and frankly, lack of clothing judgement keeps me returning. CHECK THE BBB I ordered my bridesmaids dresses through The…read morePerfect Dress. When they finally came in, much later than originally stated, they would not let me take the dresses stating that there was a rush charge on them. This didn't make any sense to me since I had ordered the dressed far before the date the manager/owner stated they would need to be ordered AND I hadn't authorized any rush charge. When I asked to see the receipt proving the charge was authorized I was told that there was no authorization but they "never would have authorized the charge without my okay". I also told them that when we had spoken on the phone months before (I was away at school) they had asked me specifically if I wanted to rush the dresses and I said "no". They said they had never been able to contact me via phone, a statement they continued to make even after I presented them with a phone bill proving I had spoken to the shop for over twenty minutes two days in a row. This was all the more confusing because they said both that 1) they never would have authorized such a charge without my okay and 2) that they were never able to get a hold of me (this left me asking; which was it is? Did you get a hold of me or not?). I even showed them the receipts the each of my bridesmaids had received when they ordered their dresses; the receipts say "paid in full" with nothing under additional charges. Because it was so close to the wedding and I had no time to go to court (I am a law student so that was kind of my first reaction) I paid the over $300 rush charge so I could ship my dresses to my girls in time to be altered. I found out after the fact that the dresses were ordered weeks after the final girl had given her measurements. Additionally, when working through this I told the owner that I would be fine with splitting the cost. Although I knew the mistake was not on our end, I was just trying to be reasonable. The owner then told me "Listen, your girls used a Groupon on this order. I am not going to lose any more money on this. You have to pay or you don't get the dresses". This confused me because SHE was the person who put up the Groupon. Bottom line; the dresses were late, 20 days out from the wedding, the owner was mad about a Groupon she put up, and I had a over $300 unauthorized charge that I had to pay to get the dresses. Funny enough, I ran in to an employee from the store a few months later; I was not shocked when she said she had finally quit because she couldn't "watch women be hurt anymore" by the unprofessional business practices. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and they found that the charge was fraudulent. Be warned; do not go to this store.
