Thanks to Lourdes and the TileCo S.B. team for helping us get the material for our bathroom. Their prices are fair and I felt a lot more comfortable buying locally so that when we needed additional tile expertise, we knew just where to find it. read more

Absolutely amazing customer service! I ordered tile, and the finish was not what I needed as I was matching it with existing tile. Julia and Miguel couldn't have been more helpful. I brought back the tile, and they replaced it with the correct finish in a matter of days. Very pleased and I will be back! read more

So far. Fast, efficient, good communication and they matched the tile I needed from the 1920's. Kudos

I'm a homeowner who has relied on TileCo for several remodels. The products I've purchased have lasted well, and knowing I can stop in for help or recommendations through the years has been much appreciated. For example, after (improperly) trying to seal my granite countertop this morning--it turned out sticky--I brought the sealer I had used to TileCo to ask if it was still usable. It was, I'd just wiped it off too soon. The gentleman behind the counter explained my error and suggested a product to help. I followed his directions and the result is beautiful. read more

As an interior design company we rely heavily on having amazing vendors. Tile Co is without a doubt our BEST and FAVORITE vendor. We honestly could not be as efficient in our business without them. They are always incredible to work with, such a wonderful team especially Gina, Liz and Denise! They truly make our day when we visit! They are also incredibly respectful and helpful to our clients when we send them in without us. We always know they will be taken care of. They source the best products too!! Whenever new products come in they immediately reach out to us with suggestions; it's such a relief because they know our style and what we like. They are always quick to get us samples and if they don't have them there then they order them for us, get us pricing right away and when we place ordered they inform us when everything is in and ready for pick up. We joke it's our Disneyland; happy people and beautiful things to look at. read more

Kudos to Hector Valdez at TileCo (Santa Barbara/Ventura) for guiding me in my selection of aqua glass and matte subway tile for my kitchen backsplash above the stove, sink and cabinet area. It was Hector's idea to alternate the glossy and matte finish to give the look more texture and he was right! I love how the tile glistens in the sunlight but also looks almost three dimensional. It's really exquisite, especially as it contrasts with the white cabinets and beige countertops. Yay for Hector and TileCo for their expert guidance! read more

We had a small bathroom project requiring us to match to existing tile work, and Tileco was incredibly helpful in finding us the right tiles for the job. Everyone was super nice and even helped us figure out how to best cut the pieces to fill the space we were working with. Seriously awesome customer service! read more

Tile Co. Is without a doubt the best tile distributors in Santa Barbara county. They have a lot of material in stocked for installers. They always have the best tooling available for tile installers and DIYers. The show room Is simply amazing and the front of the house is so friendly and helpful. They did help me design my bathroom and kitchen and I love it. Come in ask for Giana, Lizet as a matter of fact just call In Advance and who ever helps you will make you feel like family. But I would recommend going in on Friday, they have the best free donuts :) And when you go, tell them Ortiz Tile sent you. Hands down the best! read more

TileCo will supply you tile but quality can be questionable, they might not point it out and in the end they will deny culpability. Be very cautious, look at your tile, all of it, and confirm your return date, so that you don't get the runaround. They don't like to take responsibility and his shows in customer service. read more

I've done two homes with Tileco. I have always found the people working there to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. The owners are warm and inviting, as is the showroom. The selection is diverse so you can choose to be bold or conservative, modern or traditional, etc.. Their prices have always been competitive too. Why go to Home Depot and get a limited selection and ordinary. Tile is an investment you will live with for years. You should have what you love. Our Santa Barbara home had some legacy tile that we needed to match after some construction demo. Tileco went above and beyond finding what we needed... exactly. Luck, or experience and great customer service? We also bought all our tile for our NY home from Tileco (kitchen floor and backsplash, and bathroom floor to ceiling). Tileco helped us zero on the "look" we wanted, found nearby distributors, and arranged for delivery when we needed it. Any problems we had with tiles that were not "right", they took care of it. I noticed in two other reviews someone was grousing about parking and COVID precautions. I've never had a parking problem, even when my wife and I met there in separate cars. It can get busy early in the morning when contractors are making their morning run for supplies. Other than that, it's a non-issue. My experience at Tileco was pre-COVID. I have no doubt it has impacted their operations as it has all of us. Anyone who objects to essential safety precautions for themselves, let alone other customers and employees, needs an anger management. read more

We recently needed help with a very small, buy tricky tile job, so we headed to Tileco. The only thing more impressive than the selection of tile options was the customer service. We received the same attention as I'd imagine a really big job would, along with expert design advice. We've got a big project coming up and look forward to working with the Tileco team again! read more

I'm a first-time bathroom remodel newbie...the folks at TileCo have been so helpful at every stage of the process. They worked with me on design, affordability, finding reputable contractors and repeat ordering when some of our original pieces were broken. I appreciate their helpfulness and grace with my questions. Shout out to the helpful staff for their all-around awesomeness. Although my family is very much looking forward to this project being over, I can confidently say you all were the best part of making it happen. read more

We tried to come check out the tile, they told us we couldn't come in without an appointment. But then they tell us we could come inside to make an appointment. There was literally nobody in the store besides the two women working there... Hm, Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. We wanted to support a local business but ended up going straight back to Home Depot and bought our backsplash there. read more

We hesitated to go to Tileco even though we did our last tile shopping here 10 years ago ..because we thought it would be expensive. But, we made an appointment and were totally impressed with the design ideas and tile offerings ..and the price was not that bad! It may be a little more than the big box but there are knowledgeable people that are actually there to help. Hector was our helpful salesperson and has been super helpful with our follow up order. We decided to go with the a super cool tile plan for our kitchen and dining room (way better than the bland idea we went in with). Thank you so much! read more

What can I say about the wonderful people over at TileCo that everyone in the Tile industry already doesn't know. Everyone at TileCo has always been very kind and welcoming. When you walk in to the store you definitely feel the positive energy and can see the passion that they have for tile. It is always a pleasure to visit and in fact I always look forward it. If you are in need of remodeling, big or small, TileCo is the place to go. They will put passion into your project and you won't be disappointed. read more

Fabulous experience! Julia is incredible and will go above and beyond on your projects. So grateful! Thank you!

Tileco is one of my favorite decorating inspiration places!! I love the staff there, and have gone back twice each for help when remodeling bathrooms, kitchens, floors and fireplaces! The staff works together like family, and is always welcoming and helpful. Plus, they have a long history of talent, beautiful design work, and great customer service. They have outdone themselves in making designs come together for my home. The management is top notch and the follow up so reliable, especially in covid times! read more

The staff and everything at Tileco reflects THE highest quality of service and product. I was greeted by Janice who gently and warmly assisted my husband and me in a full kitchen and bathroom remodel. Janice is so intensely knowledgeable, professional and friendly: she began by helpfully giving us a welcome background in, "tile 101" explanating the different usesand applications for tile, allowing us to make informed choices. By asking thoughtful questions, she was able to immediately get our style, design and price interests to make the most perfect suggestions. Margaret has additionally helped me, allowing me to borrow some floor tiles to take home and see how they looked in the site with everything else in place. This made such a difference for our choices and decision making. Every experience we have had at Tileco has reflected the utmost in professional, caring, warm and accurate service. They also have abundant parking so it is easy to get in and out of their showroom location-we really appreciate that. Thank you everyone at Tileco, you are awesome. Mary & Michael Z read more

This is the first review that I have written for any company. I have used Tileco for three different homes over the last 23 years. And Tileco deserves to be recognized, hence this review. The store in Santa Barbara is so well setup, the selection so varied, but most importantly, the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. Even with so many choices there was never a rush to make a decision, and even after a decision was made, the staff was supportive when I changed my mind, even if it took us back to square one. Tileco is the place to go if you need tile whether you know exactly what you want or you don't have a clue. Either way you will be glad you did; I am. read more

We have been building an ADU to rent out on our house, and I have been shopping around a lot for tile for the bathroom and kitchen. The employees at tileco were extremely helpful and patient, I was in many times trying to pick colors and they never made me feel like "here she is again" haha. Support this local business! Highly recommend this place over other tile stores in town. We got our tiles fast and they are beautiful and great quality. read more

I've been a tile contractor for over a decade, and Tileco is my #1 place to purchase tile. Always accurate with lead times, pricing, and selection. We recently moved to Santa Barbara and are just finishing up the renovation of our new home. Tile and stone made up a big portion of our reno. Based on several recommendations, we visited the Tileco showroom in SB. My wife and I were first impressed by the tasteful selection. From contemporary to classic Spanish and everything between. What was also immediately noticeable was the store's vibe. Friendly would be an understatement. Possibly looking overwhelmed by the selection, we were approached by a lovely lady who asked if needed assistance. This began the most incredible shopping experience we've had in our new home town. This lovely lady introduced herself as Margaret. Margaret showed genuine interest in our objectives and quickly assessed our style. It took only minutes to realize we were with a very special person, in a truly remarkable store. As we explored numerous products, an equally charming lady named Gina joined our design frenzy. Margaret and Gina treated us, and everyone else in the store, like family. In todays marketing-speak, retailers often refer to their customers as guests. Few retailers have a clue what that translates into. Tileco has created a by-gone customer experience. One I remember, but rarely experience anymore. We were treated as much more then guests. We were treated as friends. read more

Amazing Tiles that reflect in the prices. You want something unique that your friends will talk about, go here, you want something you can afford go to Home Depot or Lowes. If your remodeling, this is the one place in Santa Barbara to get all your tile from. We were referred from our tile contractor to go in and pick out our tiles. The sales staff/ in-house design were wonderful to work with. We did two bathroom remodels back to back so I was able to work closely with Lourdes on one and Janice on the other. Just make sure to make appointments, they are following all COVID precautions, so appt. is needed for 1 on 1 in the showroom. Again this is the one stop shop, from in stock Italian beautiful porcelain tile to the unique had crafted tiles. The staff is definitely prepared to help you go big or stay small on the project!
