Sales person who came out seemed confused from when he confirmed my appointment Sunday night (not a fan of being bothered on a Sunday), ran 20 minutes late despite explicit directions, and was unprepared during the appointment which required me to repeat information already that I've shared. During my experience I couldn't help but feel the sales person was coming across sexist, ageist, and insulting with a lot of assumptions. He was also a little too curious about things that are none of his business, ironically having missed ALL of the information which would have yielded a more positive and smooth experience for me. Despite this franchise being owned by a woman which seemed like the salesperson was backpedaling to emphasize (??), the salesperson came across doubtful of the facts provided to him. It kind of felt like diversity awareness would be helpful for the sales staff so that the business appeals to a variety of customers who are seeking home finishing services. It wouldn't hurt for the staff to be coached on being professional when engaging with different (from the sales person) clientele, situations and while visiting clients' homes. I walked away with a questionable impression and wanted to warn of my experience with other non-male, post-boomer demographic seeking flooring. Thanks for coming out on short turnaround to offer a quote.

What followed was deeply disturbing. That same night, the worker named Carlos returned to our home uninvited, entering through a back window. He attempted to enter our bedroom while we were sleeping, and we had to forcefully remove him from the premises and call the police. He fled before they arrived. To make matters worse, we later discovered the word "MRSA" spray-painted on the counters that had just been installed. This entire situation was traumatic, and a police report has been filed. This was a frightening and unacceptable experience. We are sharing this to urge others to exercise caution if using this company. Make sure you know exactly who will be working in your home, and take precautions to protect your household. If they send someone named Carlos Caraballo to your home makes sure your windows and doors are locked every night there after.

We shopped around first and found AAA Hellenic to be the best combo of pricing and options. Briana Berkowitz was our primary rep to help us. Install went effectively as planned, except the bathroom counter ended up tearing up a bit of sheetrock. The guys came down and showed us immediately what happened, which we appreciated rather than try to hide something. It was relatively minor and we chalked up to cost of doing business. A week or 2 after the install, we noticed that we could see the rectangular marks they use to grip the pieces. It's minor and only noticeable in a certain light, but we could see 2 of them on our island piece. My wife worked with Briana (who worked with her manager) and they offered to either replace the piece again or offer us $600 as compensation. My wife I think wanted the piece replaced, which is kind of a pain and I was leaning toward the refund. After going back and forth on it, life got busy and we ended up doing neither. A year later, we just called and they still gave us the $600, no questions asked. It showed up in our account within 24 hours. We just saw a third rectangle, so slightly disappointed we can see those spots even if minimal, when you'd like for something this big to look perfect. So probably ~3-3.5 stars for installation. But 5 stars for service with the way they handled things, can't ask for much more. We would recommend and likely use them again in the future.

I was very happy with the results and it held up well, looking like a brand new tub. Fast forward to now and both my budget and busy lifestyle didn't allow for a complete tile gut and redo. I've tolerated the ugly title during this time but never felt like I could elevate the bathroom and really decorate it the way I wanted unless it was updated. Unfortunately the business I used and was happy with so many years ago now had a new owner and shabby reviews. I like things done right the first time and didn't want to chance it so knew I had to find another contractor with this skill. Resurfacing is an art and apparently not a lot of people get into it into. Enter Bob and Standard Resurfacing found through Yelp. Although he was quite a distance away he was happy to correspond with me over email and give me a quote on my job based on pictures. Although I thought the price was a little high compared to my tub many years ago it was still reasonable. My intention was to co-ordinate the job when my lower bathroom project was complete so going without an upper level bathroom would be a non issue. That was 2016......... Sometimes life gets in the way, and I admit, I'm not the best with project completion..... Fall 2017 arrives and still no progress made in either bathroom. I made a promise to myself that before the end of the year this ugly 1950's would be a thing of the past, regardless of the inconvenience to us. So I contacted Bob again and was relieved that his price did not change. I was put on the schedule for a few weeks out. The morning of my appt Bob and his helper came prepared and dove right in. This was my first time meeting him as well as his first time ever seeing the bathroom in person. Not only does my tile go from tub to ceiling in the surround but completely around the room midway up, including around a vintage mirror and vanity. In addition to the tile were tile accessories that also needed resurfaced; towel bars, toothbrush and soap holders. It was a big job. But fortunately the tile and grout was perfect and in mint condition. There wasn't a flaw to be found. My bathroom was the perfect candidate for this type of process. Day one consisted of prep and priming. My showerhead and tub drain was removed. Other areas were taped off as I agreed to remove my toilet but because of a newish countertop installation I was unwilling to pull out the vanity. He was there a few hours and sent me pictures via text of his progress. Day 2 was the actual spraying. I was concerned about the smell and Bob was very conscientious with my concerns and opened a window and used fans. I also had concerns about my newly painted walls, trim, and cabinetry. He said although he would take great caution in taping off these areas that some overspray would be inevitable. After spraying he sent pictures showing a beautiful crisp white bathroom. Again he was there for a few hours. I didn't use the bathroom for another 2 days although if I remember correctly only needed a full 24 hours to cure. When I did finally go back in to put everything back I did find some remnants of tape and some surfaces felt rough while others smooth. I also noticed pitted areas in some of the grout and like Bob warned some overspray on my newly painted surfaces. I did bring these to his attention and he made arrangements to come back and polish the surfaces which was much appreciated. He also informed me that because the spray is high gloss that imperfections not seen before in the grout would be visible once sprayed. He did make good on his promise and came back and polished those areas. After polishing I didn't notice a difference in the pitted grout but you do have to look hard to see it and the transformation as a whole is night and day. Overall the experience was good and I would use this company again as well as recommend them. Bob was easy going and pleasant to work with. He always kept me informed and was quick to respond. While I still feel the price is a bit high, especially if you broke it down by hours (including travel time both ways) it was still worth it. I certainly would have never been able to update my tile with new in that time and price range. I'm glad this option was available. Going from speckled 1950's cream tile with a colored border to a fresh, clean, all white look made all the difference in updating this bathroom.

After searching for a re-glazing/resurfacing company I came across Standard Resurfacing. I called and left a message got a call back a few hours later from Bob the owner. Bob called the day before to confirm the appointment and the next day transformed our pink tub into a beautiful white tub. This will keep us from having to renovate this bathroom for a few years. If you have an ugly tub I suggest you give Bob a call and let him work his magic!! Very affordable service!

I wanted to remove the shower wall panels and replace them with tile, and I was given Larry's name by a friend who is a contractor. Larry was very responsive and his son/partner Jason actually came to the house to inspect the project. During the inspection Jason identified where the leak was coming from, and it was not from a seam in the shower wall. He showed me that the connection to the shower head was actually leaking behind the shower wall. This discovery meant that I did not have to replace the shower walls and instead just repair the fitting. Although we did not end up using Chester County Tile for this project, I will certainly use them in the future and would recommend them to anyone. Honesty, integrity and professionalism like this are hard to come by in today's world. Thank you, Larry and Jason.

I've held off leaving a review until he finished my second project because he's a hidden gem. Once people realize how talented he is, you'll have to join a waiting list to hire him. Mike possesses a true mastery of his craft. I know a lot of people that would do a good job as long as there are no surprises. Mike will do an excellent job no matter the circumstances because he's probably seen it before and knows how to fix it. He has the confidence and knowledge to walk into a room and get to work. He's not going to call his manager or google the next step. He is the manager; he is the go-to guy. Secondly, he has a good eye for design too. For my vestibule, I had an idea of what I want. I explained it in my layman's terms and hazy descriptions and he saw what I was envisioning. I didn't need to over-explain it or draw a picture. He just got it. Also, and more importantly, he's honest. He gave me an estimate and stuck to it. That never happens. Anyone else would have charged extra when they discovered the subfloor was rotted, or when they saw a 10 degree slope in the corner. Mike didn't. He stuck to what he said and even fixed a few wall tiles in the kitchen - no charge. Not to mention, his prices are a bargain. People with half his skill, wanted a whole lot more. Lastly, he's a friendly guy. I know it can feel awkward having a stranger in your home. Not with Mike. He's trustworthy, down to earth, and you'll be friends in no time.
