And whatever was used completely crumbled. Didn't finish tile behind toilet. There was a huge crack in a very visible tile. Toilet was never sealed and sink wasn't screwed into the wall. We did not call him back about the problems. Perhaps he would have fixed things or given us a refund but we wanted to just move on from this bad experience and take the loss.

Dan came over, checked things out, gave us a very competitive price and scheduled the project. The crew arrived, promptly (a big plus), got to the job and stripped two rooms and a stairway on day 1. Day 2 was a final sanding and the application of two coats of the finish. Day 3 was a light sanding and a final coat. The work was executed excellently. Communication was great and, we were informed at each step. Concerns and questions were addressed and resolved quickly. Dan and the guys are pros. I know that we'll be using them again. Charged $300.00 to visit (deductible from final cost if he does the job). The estimate came in at almost $11,000.00. I found alternatives and in the end paid $2,600 + material to replace approximately 90sqft of flooring. To me Artisan implies superior workmanship and they may have done a phenomenal job but it could have cost almost as much as the entire floor.
