I had a great experience with Bell Floor Covering. Their pricing was very competitive, and Brian was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. Our renovation was delayed, so we needed to store the flooring for about four months, and they were very accommodating and had no issue keeping it in their warehouse until we were ready. The excellent customer service and flexibility made the whole experience stress-free. I would definitely recommend Bell Floor Covering to anyone looking for quality flooring at a great price. read more

I've had several great experiences with Bell Flooring in Northern Liberties. Our townhome developer originally sourced the tile and flooring for our homes from them. When I needed to track down the exact tile used for a repair years later, their team took the time to dig through older records and help identify the brand so I could locate it. We also purchased tile from them for a fireplace project in our home and it turned out fantastic. Most recently, I stopped back in to identify the original flooring used in our house for another repair. Joe Bell and the team were incredibly helpful and were able to track it down for me. It's rare to find a business that is this willing to help years after the original purchase. Great people, great service, and a great local business to work with. read more

When my husband and I bought a house and we wanted to redo the flooring throughout the home. We went to Bell flooring and not only did we get beautiful hardwood for a really reasonable price, but the service that came along with the purchase was top notch . Bell Flooring really takes care of you when you walk into the showroom. They are so knowledgeable and are happy to help in any way possible. We bought the wood we needed and Bell flooring had no problem storing our wood and delivering it to our new home when it was time to lay the floors. Instead of having to be stuck with boxes and boxes of wood which we didn't have room for in our current home, they made it so easy for us. The floors came out amazing ! We highly recommend Joe flooring! read more

Make sure you don't buy any extra because they don't let you return anything after 30 day. Most project take a longer than 30 days. So if you're looking to take overage back, go to the big box stores (floor and decor, Lowe's, Home Depot.. etc.) they all have the same stuff. These guys will give every excuse (you opened a box, the tape is off) to not take anything back after they said they would before purchasing. Spend 30k with them and wouldn't take back $1500 of new material. Extra $500 or so retuned damaged and I wouldn't expect a refund of those. Definitely going elsewhere on the next project. read more

The team at Bell was great to work with. I am new to owning a commercial space and they were very helpful and responsive with my questions. There was an issue with broken tiles from the delivery company (not Bell's fault) and Bell was right on it to get the replacements in. Overall a great value - Bell helped with questions, provided samples, managed issues from the delivery company, and they offer a ton of options. I very much appreciate the team at Bell - thanks for your help! read more

It has been such an amazing experience working with Joe at Bell Floor Covering. I love the fact that this is a family owned and operated business that has been servicing the Philadelphia Area for almost 100 years. Besides the fact that the store has a great selection, working with Joe and his staff was wonderful, not to mention educational. Joe gave me insights about flooring that I would never have learned on my own - not even online - and Joe was always so happy to explore various options without rushing us into a sale. My husband and I are moving to a new home and because of our unique lifestyle, we have very specific and unusual requirements for our flooring. Joe worked with me and went out of his way to research and learn about the types of flooring that would best fit our needs. So, with Joe's help, after all of our inquiries and research, we finally decided on and purchased an engineered hard wood floor. Our new flooring was installed recently and is absolutely beautiful. And, as it turns out, it IS the perfect flooring for us. We could not be happier. We are so grateful to Joe and the staff at Bell Floor Covering for working with us to help us find and install the floors of our dreams! read more

Bell Floor Covering - Our beautiful new flooring - Carpeting Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I absolutely love this place. It's by 2nd and Girard and there is a free parking lot for Bell's right next door. Anthony was my sales guy and he was awesome. I was re-doing the wood floors in my south Philly townhouse. Anthony was Very patient and let me take home samples to see them next to my cabinets. He understood that this was a big purchase and made sure I saw all of the options that were in stock. He was also very responsive to my email questions. In the end he had a brand that was made in the USA and in stock and on sale which looked very similar to a more expensive brand I was eyeing up. The floor has been installed and it's beautiful. Note that Bell flooring also has tile. I highly recommend this place and will definitely go back in the future - and ask for Anthony! read more

Had a great experience using Bell Floor Covering for a South Philly renovation project. Brian was easy to work with and is extremely knowledgeable. I was on a tight timeline and didn't have a lot of flexibility in the budget. Brian was able to help me pull selections together that were easily available, excellent quality and within budget. He turned a quote around quickly and once I was able to get sign off on final selections, he arranged delivery and all the materials were delivered on time. He made the whole process very easy. Definitely recommend using Bell and Brian for your building and renovation projects. read more

We moved out of northern liberties but went back to our old hood to bell for the flooring and tile for our new house. Every step of the way they were helpful and receptive. I needed additional paperwork for my appraiser and they were able to email me the paperwork in a matter of minutes. We all have budgets and they were very respectful of ours. Some stores try to push product and we never got that with bell. Our floors are awesome and as long as I live in the Phila area I will always use bell! read more

I'm writing this review bc of their exceptional service. And I just want everyone to know purchased the tiles from Bell Flooring is the best choice you've ever made. Joe Bell went above and beyond to help us getting the tiles that we need during this Pandemic crisis. While his store is Mandate for closing. He helped me order the tiles from Happy Floors from Miami Florida, and have it ship to our house & even let us picked up the tiles from his Warehouse & at his show room (and the BEST PART was free of charge for some of the items we picked up at his show room) who does that? I never had anyone doing that for me in my life....so NICE and very generous.. .I'm very appreciated ... I hope this pandemic crisis is over soon and bring lots of business to your company.. Wish you, your family and your staffs stay safe and healthy to serve our community, and I will definitely come back support your business in the future..God bless you!! We bought a home in Philly that had recently been renovated. When we moved in, we noticed that there were soft spots on the floor and the boards were splintering and dipping. We contacted Bell Floor, who supplied the materials, and talked them through the problems we were experiencing. They listened well and helped us identify faulty installation by an unaffiliated contractor as the problem. (Bell Flooring doesn't do installation.) Based on their insights, we brought in a different contractor who confirmed that there was no problem with the materials but that the original installation was shoddy and cut-rate. Bell Flooring helped us get some extra boxes of the flooring materials we needed to replace the shoddy installation on a tight timeline. They were courtesy, friendly, and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back next time I need help with a flooring job! read more

Really a 4.5 review. . . . So I HATE wall to wall carpeting. Our Port-Fishington house had w2w in our living room (27x15) when we bought the house. Well we finally got around to replacing it. We first called Empire Today. Big mistake. Way inflated prices and a rude estimator They gave us a 5,800 estimate (not even real hardwood - we got an estimate for wood laminate flooring) Now we may be young-ish but we are not idiots. As soon as we told the guy we needed to think about it, he was rude - so forget about you. Went to Bell and should have just gone there in the first place. They gave us a bunch of samples to bring home. Then when the estimator came, he said he had another color that might match our flooring in the dinning room and kitchen better - so he dropped it off the following day with the written estimate - which was SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than Empire. It should also be noted that they have a huge flooring selection - bamboo, cork, stone, tile, wood etc. . . all kinds of beautiful flooring that my husband and I would have considered if we knew we would be in this house for the long term. Plus, they have a puppy that "works' as a greeter-customer service specialist, lol. On the day the flooring was installed, the guys came at 9ish - and were completely finished by 3pm. They even took away the old carpet! We are so happy with how the new flooring looks - so much better then the old carpet. My only (small) complaint is that none of the guys who actually did the installation spoke any English (I believe it was Portuguese) - not that I have a problem with that - it just made for some difficult communication with a few issues that arose during the day. One of the installers and I had to play a serious case of charades over a vent cover. . . . read more

Go here. Seriously. My husband and I are in the process of renovating our home and adding a master bedroom/bath combo to our third floor. We wanted a retro look for our bathroom so we decided on hex tiles for the floor and subway tiles for the walls, a mental image we then had to put into play by actually going to purchase the tiles. First we tried Avalon Tile but they were super expensive and beyond unhelpful (I'll so be yelping them next). One evening after bowling at North Bowl we walked back to our car and realized we were walking right by a floor/tile place. How had we never noticed that before? It's like when you learn a new word and then you hear it three times in one week. Our brains were focused on tile. Finally one Saturday morning we got ourselves into Bell expecting we'd have to order our tile and that it would be expensive since we were in Northern Liberties. Boy were we wrong. We were met with amazing, friendly and ridiculously helpful service. These guys know what they're doing! Our tile was in stock so we walked out of there with all of our subway and hex tiles and grout supplies for about $600. We had to order our pencil tile, which totaled $90. By going to Bell we were able to tile more of our wall than we thought we could afford and we saved a ton of money. They've been in business for over seventy years and with their prices and service I'd expect them to be around for another seventy. read more

I can't say enough good things about Bells Flooring. Michael is super awesome!! He has been SO helpful through the whole process. I went back 4 times before I made a decision and he was very accommodating to my indecisiveness. He also let me take samples home. He even said I could call him anytime for advice on quotes I was getting from floor installers. which I did and he told me what seemed like a fair price and steered us away from someones quote that was WAY too high. They have a beautiful selection of products with a wide range of prices. Michael was super knowledgable about the products and helped me select something that I really liked and was in my budget. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for flooring!! They are the best in the city! read more

These guys are just great. My husband and i stopped in on Monday to pick out hardwood flooring. They sent someone out on Wednesday to take measurements / do an estimate who was friendly and knowledgeable. We ended up having our general contractor install the floors, and stopped by Thursday to purchase the wood. We were in and out with a truckload of wood in about half an hour. Everyone working there was friendly, and they didn't seem to mind at all that we decided to go with another contractor for installation. We got a great deal on some closeout flooring, and couldn't be happier with Bell. read more

I never thought I would write a review about a flooring store, but being a new homeowner opens up all sorts of new adventures! I stopped into Bell because I needed some last minute tile for a backsplash. The manager was incredibly helpful and took the time to answer my idiotic questions. Selection is really impressive, prices are great and they had tons of stuff in stock so I was able to walk out of the store with everything I needed. Also, they have one of the nicest dogs I've ever met. Will definitely go back for the next project(s). read more

Excellent selection and service. A family-owned business with commitment and long-standing ties to the community to which it serves.

My wife and I are building a new house and went to several different floor covering stores. Bell Floor had the best selection, prices and a top notch staff. The showroom was also above and beyond others so it was very easy for us to find what we wanted. We are somewhat picky and had went back several times, but each time was a great experience and we ended up getting all our wall coverings from Bell Floor. If we ever need any type of floor coverings we will not have to think twice about going back. Highly recommend! read more
