Matt's bid was competitive and fair, and he demonstrated a depth of knowledge and familiarity that made me immediately comfortable hiring him. Due to scheduling conflicts with another contractor installing a deck for me, I threw Matt a few curveballs. At least twice I had to ask him to move his start date, and when his team did arrive, the deck contractors were totally in his way. Throughout, Matt was patient and focused on his work. The guys he brought with him worked tirelessly over four days to excavate, remove old materials, prepare proper drainage missing from the old wall, rebuild the wall with new EP Henry pavers and regrade the area around the new wall - as well as around my driveway. Matt and his crew went above and beyond, doing extra regrading work not included in his estimate at no additional charge. And they cleaned up the work area at the end of the job beautifully. The wall looks so good that the old, shabby brick pavers by my pool now look sad by comparison. I'll be asking Matt Burns to come back to address that issue, and others, in the future. Let me first start by saying that I will willingly admit that I am that ridiculous person that will make a spreadsheet with all the necessary facts about every decision I make in my life. You can bet your butt I did the same when looking for contractors, and Charlie is one of the best in the Philly area. First, I truly appreciated that Charlie took the time to walk around my house with me while I discussed my plans. He took his time to survey the space, digest my ideas, and chimed in every so often when he needed to be honest about feasibility and/or if he had any other comments. I appreciated the honesty and loved many of his additional suggestions! I could immediately tell that Charlie has had considerable experience with dated rowhomes, like mine. Also, he was more than willing to take on the magnitude of some of the projects, no matter how big or small. Just to give you an idea, these are some of the things they did for me: -Gutted entire first floor -Installed new flooring, framing, dry wall, kitchen cabinets, appliances, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, rug, railing, doors, molding, and trim work. -Leveled floors, supported cracked rafters, added additional support beams, added insulation, and installed some new windows. All things considered, Charlie wants to make sure you're happy with the end result, and he will keep any promise he makes. One example is my bathroom surround tile - I didn't like how dark the grout came out and the placement of the tiles. Charlie was willing to redo it, and went over everything step by step to make sure we were on the same page the second time around. Now, I'm not saying make them do it 5 times until you get something you like. I'm just saying that he's willing to work with you if it doesn't come out exactly as you had anticipated the first time. Lastly, just look at the quality of their work. Attached you will see some albums of the before, during, and after pictures of my home. We paid in full and they have yet to come and install everything and fix the work they did in 2 bathrooms and fireplace as they cut too short and sloppily pieced the granite. It took over 2 months for them to finally answer the phone when I called. They scheduled to come on 8/17 to fix and finish installation. The morning of 8/17, they called and canceled. They rescheduled for 8/24 & the owner called me at 8:30 to cancel again. They're not reliable and no longer do quality work.

Euro Marble & Granite installed the countertops in my new construction home back in the Spring of…read more2020. Prior to closing in June, we had our walkthrough with the builder and I noticed our granite countertops were chipped in three places (two of which were on the adjoining seams where two slabs merge and are very visible to the eye and touch). Euro came out and did a 'Fix" where they remove the loose chipped areas and re-glued the pieces back in with epoxy and dye. Upon further inspection it was clear that this just a pathetic attempt for this company to apply a cheap fix in hopes they would not have to do the right thing and replace the slabs which were damaged upon installation. Fast-Forward to January 2020 and I have had this company out two additional times and they continue to tell me they will "get a better tradesman in who can fix it." I'm not sure what that means but i am in the process of contacting the Better Business Bureau in regards to the situation or lack of solution I was left with. The owner tried telling me its "normal for granite countertops to be chipped and cracked when installed." Please do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere, this company has a complete disregard for their customer base and by no means do they stand by the products they sell and install.
