He really seemed to care about the work he does and worries over the details. Some key points about my experience: - The owner and his sons actually did the work. Most other contractors I've worked with have the owner show up for the estimate, then send a different crew (which doesn't speak english) or even subcontractors. - The price he quoted was the price he stuck to, even though there were complications with the wood I provided, and with my crooked sub-floor. - I received 3 quotes before choosing Wayne, his price was in the middle. During the estimate he actually measured my entire house and asked about details, whereas others just took a quick look around. That's probably why there were no "extras" on the final bill. - He knows a lot about different woods and finishes and was open to do whatever I wanted. I went with non-standard rift and quartered oak, and a matte 2-part water-based finish. - When he was finished my house was clean, he must have a great sawdust collector. We had heavy furniture that they took care of without a second of annoyance.
