I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I had Jeff over to see my kitchen. We had what I thought was a very nice first visit. He brought in both cabinet door samples and Pental quartz samples. I picked out a cabinet color/style that I loved relatively quickly. My family member and I also went through dozens of quartz samples and picked one out. It was a little harder picking quartz from the many small 4x4 samples. I remember Jeff saying, "Take your time, but hurry up." There were so many quartz samples, so I felt kind of rushed and we picked one that seemed nice. I did tell Jeff I was not absolutely sure about the quartz that I wanted to pick, and asked when I needed to make my final decision. He said when he came back to measure would be when I needed to make my final decision. Anyway...After that visit, he emailed me a proposal for the cabinets, and then a separate one for the quartz, in which he asked if I had any questions. I emailed him back with some completely reasonable questions, such as: How thick is the quartz countertop? and Can you show me a picture of the sink and faucet which you plan to install? I was so excited, and was literally about to give him a deposit! In response to my questions, he sent me back an email which said basically "After having already spent and hour and a half with you, I have decided to take a pass on your vanity." First, I was shocked and terribly disappointed by his words and apparent refusal to do my kitchen. Second..."Vanity"? He was going to do my kitchen, not my "vanity". Was he half asleep or something when he wrote that? When I emailed him back and told him how shocked and disappointed I was by his remark, he responded, "Sorry I was short with you." And that's it! He should have called to apologize. What a ROTTEN and extremely unprofessional way to treat a customer. I've never experienced anything like it in all of my years as a homeowner. Soon after, he had the nerve to leave me a phone message asking if I was interested! I didn't even return his call. Luckily, I found another company- Hudson Valley Kitchen Refacing, and I just gave my deposit! I have experienced nothing but politeness and respect from the owner! We hired Reface-It to update a 26-year-old contractor's kitchen in a house we are selling. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They carefully protected all the surrounding surfaces (new vinyl flooring, new granite countertops, new tile back splash) from any damage while they worked.
