I will never work with this company again! Throughout my entire project, I perceived them to be inefficient and non-communicative. There were several instances where they have been dishonest and attempted to upcharge me for work that was included in our contract. They sell themselves as a 'full service' company, but this could not be further from the truth. Instead of making the process smoother, they caused countless hours of additional work  and stress for me and my husband. We contracted with New DImensions to renovate our kitchen back in February 2022, making it very clear we needed this renovation done before our baby came in October - this was agreed upon in our contract.  They did not start the job until September - 9 months later, despite us continuously following up to see how we could move things forward more quickly. They were completely unresponsive and not at all transparent about what was causing the delays. My son is now 3 months old, and they JUST finished (January 2023) - 5 months after starting what should have been a 2-3 month job.  New Dimensions also came to us with ~$15k of additional items they attempted to charge us for throughout the project, threatening to shut the project down if we didn't pay, so we felt like we were trapped. Some of these were for things that were expressly called out in our contract, like some HVAC work and building out a few closets.  Several times, they demanded we pay them early for milestones that had not yet been completed (it is worth noting that the payment milestones are structured in a way so a majority of the cost if front-loaded, meaning we had paid ~80% of the project cost before they had completed even 50% of the work). It was exhausting to constantly be fighting with them every step of the way and caused long delays. When we brought up our dissatisfaction about the delayed timeline and repeated upcharges, some of the employees were downright offensive - literally screaming and yelling at us in a completely unprofessional way. During the project, we had issues with the speed of work, quality of work, speed of sourcing materials, cost of materials, and project management. A few of those included: Speed of work: for a full kitchen renovation, the biggest crew they usually sent was 2 people who (after factoring in breaks) only typically worked 4-5 hours each day - often there was only one person on the job site. There was limited planning for lead times or dependencies, which caused several unnecessary multi-week delays. Quality of work: they made a lot of mistakes during the project that, instead of fixing immediately when pointed out, they tried to convince us were proper, or that we needed to pay more money to fix. For instance, installing a support beam with a gap between the beam and the floor above so the floor above bounced when walking on it, installing the header for the fridge crooked, measuring the width of the island wrong so we now have a hole in the tile floor that the island doesn't cover, designing a cabinet intended to hang pans that isn't tall enough to hang pans, etc... Speed of sourcing: Often the men would arrive at our house and wouldn't have the materials they needed, so they would just stand around not working for the entire day. For the items New Dimensions said they'd source for us, turns out they actually only provided a quote and we then had to place the order. The quote sometimes took weeks of asking for and ultimately caused delays to the project because we could not order the items in a timely manner. Cost of materials (cost of which is passed through to the customer): we had one instance where they bought a small amount of siding for $6,000, which was astronomical. We had them return it and brought in our other, trusted contractor, who purchased the same materials for $2,000. This made us question every other material charge they brought to us, but at this point it was too late to go back through and do an audit. Project management: The 'project manager' they assigned to our project was almost completely absent - he dropped by the job site typically once per week and often didn't know what needed to be done. Frequently, the crew working had no idea what they were supposed to be working on when they arrived. When the project manager came, he rarely wrote anything down and claimed that some of the items were not in his department - we would then have to speak to several other employees at New Dimensions to get them accomplished. They also tried to forbid us from talking to the crew that was working in our house, effectively cutting us off from productive conversations we could have had to move the job forward. Me and my husband ended up taking over most of the project management towards the end. read more

Just awful. Zero communication, zero follow up. Little to no experience working in my municipality which resulted in countless delays and costly resubmissions. Decent design but poor execution and follow through. The newish onsite gc and the office mgr lady were the bright spots in this subpar experience. read more

I spent a great deal of money on a complete basement remodel, including putting in a full bathroom. While they were expensive I thought I was going to get great customer service and workmanship and that they would be worth the price. Two months after the work was completed I discovered a problem with the new bathroom. Besides excessive steam and condensation on all walls and the ceiling, the ceiling has stains and water damage. Instead of fixing the issue I have had to place several calls and texts. I have been promised an appointment that never happens. Instead of sending the plumber who worked on the new plumbing for the bathroom, they sent the guy who installed a split ductless system for the entire basement that has nothing to do with the bathroom. After that nothing. I made all of my payments on time. This lack of accountability has changed my opinion about the company. read more

Unethical. I needed work done after a leak and they came out to see the job. Said they could help me and then had me in to their showroom for a meeting and we started to pick out the cabinets. I asked for an estimate to give the insurance company before I could hire them and then I get a call that they need me to sign a contract before giving me the estimate. I was told he had to find out simething and call me back which he never did. I called today to followup only to be told they are a design build and that the job is to small and that they wouldn't give an estimate without my signing a contract. Why waste my time having me come in to approve the plan and look for materials. I have done many jobs ion my homes over the years but never heard of this. Obviously something is not on the up and up. Glad I found out before I started with them. read more

We have used New Dimensions Remodeling before, for a kitchen project. We rehired them, a year and a half later for a living room project. Let me begin by saying ,I am not an "easy to please" customer. New Dimensions has a certain "protocol " for bidding on a job, and if you are able to deal with the rigidity of that, they actually do great work. They begin the work when they say they will, and they complete it when they say they will. They come every day, when working on your job, and their overall work is great. They offer a two year guarantee, and are responsive and right there to fix whatever is a problem. I would recommend them. read more

I was extremely disappointed with this firm. Like the previous review, we let them into our home to plan an addition and told them what we wanted. Scheduled another appointment to talk price, I was unable to attend so my husband went, Frank was extremely rude and upset that I was not there, told my husband he was wasting his time because we were suppose to sign contracts. What? We haven't even talked price. Steer clear of this firm, if Frank treats customers like that now how do you think he'll treat you down the road? No thanks. read more

So disappointed. After initial great service from Raif and numerous meetings with payment of an initial $750 fee for preliminary design, we were given a proposed contract for more than $59K for construction costs only when they were told up front that our budget for the bathroom remodel was $40k. Their bathroom remodel would have cost $80k including fixtures, double our budget. It was a waste of out time and our money. So frustrating. I have since gotten quotes from other reputable boulders for half their costs. read more

I would strongly recommend not using this firm. My wife and I set up an appointment with them and spent over an hour going over our requirements, budget, etc. We then came to there office for another hour long appointment to look at materials and the ideas from this firm was so far off the mark from what we described to them. After having spent this much time with the designer he said he will review what we want again and get back to us and schedule some additional time and we have never heard back from him or the firm and this has been over a month. Overall impression was people were nice but they can not do anything but simple renovations and anything structural or additions I would steer clear of this firm. read more

After my initial review, the business posted a response to my comments. And while we could go on and on in a game of he said-she said, the one point I would stress to everyone reading this: We thought it was in our best interest to sacrifice the 4-figure down payment that we had given these guys and work with a different firm. Again, we knew we would lose our down payment, but even factoring that in, it was far more cost and time efficient for us to use another firm. Now as for the New Dimensions' comments and more he said she said: Their quote: "New Dimensions would never stop working with a client". I spoke with them on either April 8 or 9. We did not hear from them again until we reached out to them asking for our down payment back on or about May 22. 44 days, no contact. Maybe we have different definitions of "stop working" Their quote: "How is it unethical if we have completed all work pertaining to our design agreement?" What I told them, before posting my original review, was that I felt it was my responsibility to warn other potential customers of their practices, because they either a. make a practice of putting together design proposals that more than double the budget, or b. they don't normally do that and just tried to gouge us on price. You can all decide whether that is unethical or not. Their quote: "The clients told us that they were going on vacation and would contact us when they returned. " Their quote: "Unfortunately, we were never able to show them our new re-designs. " The reason I told them I was going on vacation was because we had just wasted a month and a half on their "process" of starting off at more than double our budget and whittling the job down to something that was still going to be above budget and did not cover many of the changes we wanted. I was angry that we had gotten nowhere in my mind and our vacation would extend that time of no progression. We went on vacation April 10. During the aforementioned conversation on April 8 or 9, Raif from New Dimensions told me that the last reviewed proposal was THE proposal. His quote was "if you want to move forward with THIS proposal, give us a call when you are back." There was no indication that this was just another step in the process. I think my belief that this was their final offer is supported by the fact that they did not contact us for 44 days after that last conversation. And if we had not reached out to them, would they have ever contacted us again?????? I returned from vacation on or about April 20. In the roughly one month between that day and May 22 or 23 when we contacted New Dimensions after not hearing from them for 44 days, I did the following: - went on 3 business trips and 1 guys weekend with the old college buddies - contacted several other design/build firms - had a new kitchen design created for free, well within our budget - signed a contract with the firm that created the new design. It was very upsetting to lose the down payment we gave to New Dimensions, but in the end, I feel it would have cost us a lot more to have continued to work with them. read more

We were delighted with every aspect of our kitchen renovation. From the initial visit (where Raif Branca REALLY listened and subsequently designed a beautiful kitchen with our needs in mind) through planning, design, and materials selection, every step was professionally handled with superb customer service. Once scheduling was confirmed and demolition began, we were kept informed of each step, dates were adhered to, crew was consistent and consistently excellent. Our project was left clean at the end of every day. The lead installer, Antonio, was a perfectionist (in the best way) and an artist. From tiling, to the construction of a pantry, to cabinet installation, his work was perfect. The finished kitchen is beautiful, its design is ergonomically perfect, and New Dimension's two-year warranty on all their work gives us great piece of mind.
