Let me start by saying move the food here. Especially the pork burritos. Tons of flavor, really great portions. Fun decor (though I always am just doing takeout). I even have their t shirt from last year. However, the prices have gone up too much and I'm not sure if I can justify coming here moving forward. Maybe a smaller portion size was available for about half the price or something. I can't eat the monster burritos in one sitting anyone and always enjoy them more when they are fresh. We did an online order for our entire family, which we've done for several years now during our vacation. The last few years, we've had mostly positive experiences but this year was different. The food is more expensive than it was in the past, which would be understandable, but the quality has also decreased. We ordered three empanadas (and were charged for all three) but only received one. Two of us were missing food because of that error, and somehow we ended up with a random burrito in our bag that we didn't order. My burrito was completely unraveled and fell apart the second I opened it. Nothing was labeled (and it was when we've ordered before), which meant we literally had to cut open the burritos and figure out which was which. On the online ordering site, you cannot order certain things, such as quesadillas, that are available in the store. When we went to pick up the food, we had to order the quesadillas there as we picked up the other food. The workers asked if how we were paying, but they were holding the larger bag of food (paid for online already). When we said we had paid online, they told us they meant the quesadillas, but their tone was rude and condescending, which we didn't appreciate. (One of the workers was very friendly, but there were three working.) Overall, we don't plan on returning, despite this being the fourth year of takeout on this trip. It just wasn't a good experince this time, especially in terms of quality and service. It seems like the restaurant is best set up for a single person ordering something, and we didn't have a lot of luck with correctness in our order, quality, or friendly service. read more

Wonderfully introduction to the restaurant by the young ladies working approaching the closing hour. My first time here. The soft corn tacos with grilled chicken, pulled pork and shrimp topped with the corn salsa, grilled pineapple and pinto beans with avocado and cilantro were healthy and hit the proverbial spot. The cilantro lime sauce on the side pushed the flavor layering over the top in the best way. I walked in and dod take out. Did take out, the food was set up so you can see what you want. They had mahi-mahi that was so tender, it was melt in your mouth good. They have seating inside and outside of the restaurant. They even have pizza. Will try on my next visit. read more

Saturday afternoon around 4pm,place was empty. Reviewed the menu the young girls were helpful and friendly. Ordered the steak burrito, brown rice,black beans, cheese,jalapeño and salsa. This place was unexpected in a good way! We went in thinking it was a chipotle-esk taco place and it is... but not so much in a Mexican way but a Caribbean way. In hindsight this totally makes sense given the name but it was a pleasant surprise! We split a make your own burrito and an empanada. All I can say is get the grilled pineapple and tiki sauce. All meals come with chips which are good but could use salt or lime juice or something. I would say skip the empanada (we got cheesesteak) it didn't taste like much. What an awesome find! Loved it! **In a rush? Skip to the end for my tips.** Was vacationing in AC and was looking for a local place to check out and was surprised to find a taco place that has 5 stars. So, we definitely had to check it out. It is set up like Chipotle and Moe's where you choose your food style and then choose protein and toppings. However, they have some extra goodies - churros and empanadas! OMG! So good! The food is definitely pricier than Chipotle and Moe's, but their ingredients are freshly made and great quality. So, I had no complaints about the prices. As previous reviews stated, everyone working there was super nice and helpful, from the moment you walk in and even when you leave. Also, I loved the bright colors and decorations inside. What we ordered -Rice Bowls, Salad, and tacos with different proteins (shrimp, steak, and chicken) Everything was delicious! -Empanadas - They had ground beef and beef and cheese choices and they were both delicious! -Churro - They make it fresh and you have a choice of caramel or chocolate sauce. -Every meal came with chips and salsa. The salsa was so delicious! -We had the Tiki sauce and it was good. We also tried the habanero inferno and it was indeed an inferno! Beware! Will have to stop again when I'm in the area! Jealous of those who can stop by anytime. Tips: -If you plan to order a churro, please be patient as they freshly make it for you. -Salsa for your chips and meal is pretty unlimited. They have it in individual containers in front of the register. -If you get a rice bowl and ask for a burrito tortilla on the side, do not dump everything into it unless you want a HUGE burrito. As you can see from my picture, it was a grave mistake by the kid. It's a lot of food! -If you are contemplating about getting the shrimp, you should get it! LOVED this place! We stopped by on a Tuesday around 5 to order take out for a picnic on the beach. We got there just in time because a line did start to form. Keep in mind Taco Tuesdays. We ordered empanadas, chips & queso, shrimp tacos, chicken tacos and churros. All were amazing. The empanadas were like mini fried cheesesteaks, the tacos were build your own so can't go wrong there, and the churros were delicious. Enough said. This is a beach version of Moe's. They have a ton of topping options and a good amount of protein options. You are charged based on the protein of choice and the extras you choose to add (queso and guac are extra I believe). It's super cute inside and everything tasted fresh. The only down side for me was that there isn't too much flavor going on. Everything tastes as it looks. Just your classic taco seasoning on proteins and then fresh veggies on top. Also the bill for 4 was about $60... So it's not cheap but it's on the island. So I guess you pay for the convenience. Overall, not a bad choice but be prepared to pay $$ for basic food you can make at home. read more

What a welcome addition to Brigantine! We have hoped for a great taco joint and this place did not disappoint! I ordered the shrimp tacos and thought they were delicious! You can pick your own toppings so you can really pile on the fixins. Normally I don't like "choose your own" options bc I never know what makes a good taco (clearly I'm not the cook in my household) but the staff was super friendly and patient and offered great suggestions. So happy to have this addition to Brigantine! We will be coming here often! P.S. the inside is beautiful so when we get back to "the new normal" we will be eating here often! read more

Came here because of all the the good reviews but honestly the food is underwhelming. The portion size is VERY small. When I seen the young man measuring out the rice, cheese and salsa with a small spoon, I should have left. Everything is very expensive! A scoop of guac for $4!! The salsa, sour cream and sauces come in a mini cup. The chicken was bland. Lastly, we spent over $40 for two meals and were handed one small bag of complimentary chips. We won't be back. read more

Omg sooo tasty. Fist came in Sunday. The ingredients fresh and flavorful. We usually get less healthy options when we visit: pizza and all sorts of deep fried foods. I decided to get some fish tacos to be healthy. It did not taste like the light healthy dinner it was. Their guacamole was fresh and chunky. We had to come back for Taco Tuesday. We stumbled upon this place on an overnight stay in Brigantine and so glad we did! The food was very fresh and customizable, with large portions! The service was really friendly too! There are some picnic tables inside so we sat there to eat our food. It's a nice touch that you get chips and salsa with your meal.
