    plain avocado toast
    Naomi M.

My friends and I came here for a cute brunch and coffee vibe and we were ultimately disappointed. While the atmosphere itself was cute and beachy, the food was not at all up to par. Our first warning should have been the fact that their menu doesn't even work on their website and you have to go through hoops and loops to find it. The online menus also have the wrong prices compared to the actual menu, which was misleading. My friend and I split a sausage egg and cheese and the avocado toast. The sausage egg and cheese was okay, however my friends who also all got a variation of it all agreed it honestly could've been a dunkin' breakfast sandwhich and we wouldn't know the difference (except this was $9 for some reason). It overall gave microwaved vibes. The avocado toast was quite appalling. It was literally just a barely toasted piece of bread and plain avocado that didn't even taste good, and was most likely just a store bought spread. Getting any topping such as everything bagel seasoning or egg was extra. The picture shown of my toast has some everything bagel seasoning on it that I scraped off of my everything bagel to try and give it more flavor. I didn't even finish it. I feel as though the bare minimum for avocado toast that costs money should be at least some olive oil. I once got avocado toast at an airport that at least had some variation of toppings for free. It was also my friends birthday today, so that was an upsetting birthday breakfast. What a way to start 19! Obviously none of us were expecting 5 star cuisine, but we definitely had higher expectations. The coffee was the best part, they had lots of syrups and it was decent.

Stopped in Mission Cafe for the first time on a Saturday morning during July. As it was in season, I Mission Cafe was busy, but the line moved and the staff was very efficient. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and they were quite good. The coffee was also fresh and good and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back to explore some further items on the menu.

Awful food - seems microwaved and largely tasteless. Nice staff, but they have a terrible product to work with.

Really yummy bowls with fresh fruits and veggies. Only change I would request is more meats that can be added to the poke bowls.

Newly Open Mission Café was a hit. It starts with you finding the perfect seat. Then order from your table using your phone & QR code. The menu loads on your phone and you can select items to place your order. The only concern is the menu on your phone does not explain the details of each item on the menu, an opportunity here for them. There was some confusion when you get your order as we didn't know our order number until we paid our check. Dip is not to leave an open check if you want to know your order number. For the food, we had breakfast and enjoyed a vegan sausage & egg everything began breakfast sandwich with avocado, along with a pork roll egg & cheese! Tried the green energy smoothie, it was excellent. On our next visit we want to try the açai bowls and some of the many coffee drinks that they have here.

We wanted to try it for a while and today was the day. The caffe didn't disappoint. It looks cute, clean and modern inside. They have a beautiful outdoor area. My latte was very good. The beans they use are awesome. All the pastries looked amazing. Everyone was very friendly.

Delicious, healthy coconut bowl and coffee. Very dog friendly. Great place to hang out when everyone else in your beach house wants to sleep.

This is THE best place for coffee on the island. The cold brew is like nectar of the gods perfect. It's the taste of summer.

Unfortunately, the service really fell short. It took way too long just to be acknowledged. The hostess was friendly, but the big man behind the counter, looked right past me twice and took another customer's order before mine. Thankfully, a younger gentleman stepped in and took my order, which I appreciated. As for the food, the cheesesteak was very disappointing. It lacked seasoning completely, and the only thing that somewhat saved it was the extra ketchup I added. I couldn't even finish it there, I ended up taking it home and fixing it myself just to make it edible. Being a Philly native, I had higher expectations. The hoagies are actually good, but the cheesesteaks just don't live up to what you'd expect. Overall, not the worst experience, but definitely not one I'd rush back for.

It was absolutely packed with premium meats, fresh tomatoes, onions, and hot pepper relish on a fresh roll. Every bite was loaded with flavor, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. The portion was incredible--this wasn't a skimpy sandwich by any means. At $12 for a half sub, it felt like one of the best food values I've had in a long time.
