    Bloody margarita

My review of Tijuana in Florence... Tijuana may look like your average neighborhood chain burrito spot, but Tijuana is a life saver in a desert of proper Mexican cuisine! I wandered in needing salt and greasy goodness after hitting the local Florence club with friends until 4:00 am on a Saturday/Sunday night/morning, and was immediately greeted by a friendly perrito named Charlie. After a week of enjoying incredible Tuscan food and wine, The incredible aroma of Mexican food was exactly what the doctor ordered. The restaurant was filled up (it was after 2:00 pm) but I snagged a table near Charlie. I ordered some chorizo nachos and a Bloody Margarita to shake some life back into me and it was the perfect amount of spice to get this extranjero gringo back into a Domenica Funday frame of mind. I ordered the burrito chile con carne and a local Ducato beer to complete the process. The burrito was a perfect bomb of flavor goodness. Perfectly prepared meat, melted asadero, cotija AKA "the Mexican Parmesan" lightly sprinkled on top, green onions, peppers, and enough spice to bring on that nice little sweat after a few bites. The beans and rice on the side were perfect partners of the burrito. Not seasoned but perfectly cooked to the exact second that would make grandma proud. My expectations continued to be exceeded. The tortilla was crusty and crisp on the top and chewy where it should be. The spices worked together beautifully. The red salsa was packed with flavor, and the bell peppers had a great consistency. By the end of the meal I was already planning my next visit or getting a ticket to the Baja Peninsula. Having lived in Europe a few years and knowing that the struggle to find decent Mexican food on the continent is real, the food here is the best I've found outside of the Americas!

Honestly probably one of the worse experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. No one greeted us at the door so we thought it was self seating. Then they came and sat us at a table in the corner. We waited 30 minutes for a waiter to come see us and take our drink order or anything. Then once they did come, the waitress forgot one of my friends food and the food that did come out was all cold. The taco shells de cochinita was seriously cold to the touch. Seriously disappointed with my experience

A must have! Good drinks, I was so excited they actually had Micheladas & the margarita was great & so pretty! Food was very good a word of advice the nachos are HUGE so maybe go with a smaller portion (we still ate them all) because we ate so much. They have plenty of salsas for all of you wanting spicy. Definitely recommend.

Was dissatisfied with the quality of food I received at Tijuana Mexican Grill. Craving mexican food I was sent to Tijuana Mexican Grill as the best spot in Florence for Mexican food. The Margarita was absolutely delicous and hit the spot, however the food was very mediocre. I know that Italy is in no way known for there mexican food, however i was beyond dissapointed with the Nachos, and more so the Burrito. That being said, the ambiance and environment in Tijuana is great and fun. - I recommend this place for someone trying to get a Margarita and maybe some Chips and Guac.

The atmosphere was amazing and the waitress was so nice. It took a while to get our food and it wasn't hot. Being in Italy what can you expect? I had chicken tocos and they were so so. My son had the salad and I wish I had it. After so much pasta and pizza we needed a break.

Short wall from the AC Marriott. We came early, so the service was fast. Food was good. Typical Mexican fare. Once the place started to fill up, we never saw our server again though as the place became standing room only (on a Saturday). A little pricy for the margaritas. On the rocks was a bit too sour for me. Frozen one for my wife was good. They were a good size. Large selection of tequila. All staff spoke English well.

I've tried the chimichangas, which I'd personally pass on again and the Picco de Pollo tacos.

Le Vespe Cafe - Avocado, salmon and eggs were brilliant. They had a hint of orange or mango citrus, making for a wonderful experience.

A lovely American waitress came over and helped me.(I'm not saying she's lovely because she's American, she just was really friendly) She explained that the cook makes all the poached eggs in one big pot and can't specialize one for a customer. She said they could fry it medium well and that worked for me. The other waitress offered to fry the egg or scramble it but she just wasn't friendly, and she didn't give me all the choices of how I could get the egg fried. That really helped me make my choice. The egg's Benedict came with American pork bacon and not Canadian bacon. The hollandaise sauce was deliciousness, but they give you such a small amount. They need to double it. Another reviewer mentioned how good the green hot sauce was, so I tried it. It was spot on great!! I made sure every bite had the green sauce on it. I usually only like shredded hash browns but their breakfast potatoes were perfect. They weren't hard and had a good flavor. The restaurant was clean but very small. It had a nice relaxing feel. I love to try the food of the country I'm visiting, but after traveling for two weeks it was nice to have something I eat at home. The eggs Benedict was a treat. I had the hot amaretto coffee drink and that just hit the spot and made the waiting to be seated all worth it. The had many types of milk you can put in your coffee, for example, they have soy milk, oat milk, etc. I would definitely recommend this place and come back. Oh and the less than friendly waitress served my food to me with a smile, but she never smiled again and never accepted my thank you's no matter how much I said them. Word of advice don't have a sad face if they can't provide something the way you want it if the waitress is blond and Italian. That will not go over well. You're not allowed to be quietly disappointed.

We had the avocado, salmon eggs plate and the eggs benedict. Both were perfectly prepared and exactly what you would hope for in a top-tier cafe. The eggs had a hint of orange citrus that added to the joy of the meal. This super comfortable, clean restaurant with fantastic service and food will be on our best-of-best list in the future!
