Great service and food! We were looking to take a little break from pasta and pizza and decided to stop here. Food was great, we had arepas and pabellón. They were even able to accommodate a vegetarian pabellón. They also had natural juices. Muy buen servicio y comida! Nosotros decidimos parar Ya que no queríamos pasta o pizza y la comida estaba muy buena. Comimos arepas y pabellón. También acomodaron a un vegetariano. También tienen jugos naturales.

Venezuelan food in Italy ?! Could it be ? Yes, it exists. Even though I'm back in America , I really wanted to add another positive review to this amazing restaurant , and add an English review for any tourist visiting Firenze that don't speak Italian! So after living in Florence for quite some time , I can say that this is the ONLY south - American or closest thing you'll find to Cuban or Puerto Rican cuisine, in probably all of the region of Tuscany. So being as I grew up with this food , I'm so happy that they opened up over here , and it satisfied every one of my cravings and helped with any bit of home sickness. Being the only one , there isn't much to compare it to within the area and the idea of eating this food in Italy made my expectations quite low. But I'm happy to say that the food was excellent!! I would always get the rice , beans , meat , with tostones and yucca. So the rice and beans were way better than I thought they would be ! The meat was brilliant and I savoured every bite of it. However , I was a bit disappointed with the yucca and tostones. The yucca was super dry and the tostones were tiny !! But again , being in Italy I can imagine it difficult to find the right ingredients to make it right so I can't really blame them for that. That being said, the sauces they give you with the tostones are SO GOOD ! I would honestly buy those to take home. I also tried the stuffed arepas, which i had actually never had before. It had this avocado sauce inside that was excellent. The arepa wasn't dry at all (like I've tried in the past at other places ) and I really enjoyed that one as well. I would recommend them if you feel like a lighter portion because they're not heavy at all. Also the empanadas are spot on. Just like I've had them at home. Those same sauces I mentioned above also go brilliantly with these. Service is excellent. The lady who manages the place made me feel at home every single time ! While I spoke in Italian with her , you should be able to easily get by in English. They take both cash and credit although cash is preferred. Also, I will add that the first few times I tried to eat here the restaurant was closed up even though they should've been opened. So I assume they were just on holiday... But from then on they've been open like usual. Highly recommend ! Buon appetito !!

This restaurant was so delicious I had to write a review right away!! We are staying around the corner at an AirBnB and needed something non-Italian after being in Italy for over a week. The waitress was very sweet, and food came fast! We went for dinner and I ordered the beef with rice and beans and my husband got the chicken with rice and salad (both came with yucca and plantains!). The food was so good- after a ton of pasta and bread the past week going to Italian restaurants, Venezuelan was a nice change! Also the salsa and sauces they serve with the meal were my favorite part of the meal (garlic and avocado especially!) The place was full by 9:15 (Sunday night), definitely check this place out!

A hidden gem in my beloved Firenze. The empanadas are amazing and I can never have just one --- they are that good! My favorites are the platano and queso-filled ones. Vegetarians like myself will find a delicious assortment of options, and carnivores will be delighted with L'Areperia's many meat-based offerings. I adore the lovely ambiance (the window nook is perfect for studying!) and the great service. I highly recommend them!
was a little hesitant to walk in. i came around peak lunch hours and no one was inside. i got the domino to go. they were quick and friendly! it had black beans and cheese inside. it was pretty good but the sauces made it! it came with a white sauce sort of like ranch and then a green sauce which was delectable. i'm a study abroad student and have been sick of the italian food and walked by here. i can't believe i didn't discover it sooner. don't be afraid by the location or lack of crowd, they deserve one! read more
So happy we came here the food was excellent. Just what we were looking for. The place is very cozy and the food is delicious. They're known for the arepas and it was sooo good! The main dish we got was rice , beans and your choice of meat and yum I was so stuff but ate it all. Really recommend this place if you're looking to try good food and overall want something other than pasta and pizza. read more

This place was a haven for me as I was craving some home cooked food. I had the appetizer sampler with a little bit of everything (tequeños, empanadas, yuca fries,etc...) ,& all the sauces you can dream to soak up. I also had an arepa with chicken and cheese and it was ok point! I was happy to accompany all the yummy food with a frescolita too! read more

Had a beef plate with rice, beans, yucca and plantains. Hubby had a beef torta. Meat was succulent, just- right spicy, and sauces were to die for! Wonderful flavors! read more

I love this place! It's truly an hidden gem in the santa croce area! I went with my boyfriend on a Friday evening. We didn't want to have dinner in an other over-crowded place so we decided to give it a try, and we we weren't disappointed! We both had the "piatto povero": rice with some meat and fried platano chips. Then we also ordered two arepas; mine with veggies and my boyfriend's with avocado and chicken. So yummy! Also such a great customer service! The waitress/owner is so nice and takes time to explain the dishes and the Venezuelan culture! Fully recommended! read more

Make a reservation because it's a small place, but definitely an amazing spot for lunch or dinner if you're tired of Italian food! Wide variety on the menu, and the extra sauces they provide are a legitimate game changer. read more
