We have used TIGER Plumbing in the past. For a sump pump. Now, our water heater went out a little over a week ago. Once again, TIGER Plumbing was on time promptly. The cost for putting in a new water tank and the expansion tanks was very affordable. Plus we have a 15 year warranty. The staff, when we called, was very helpful and the set up our appointment very professionally. I am so sorry, I did forget who came out that day. He was on time. TIGER kept us informed by text when our serviceman was to arrive. He did an outstanding job and obviously knew what he was doing. Tiger plumbing is the only plumbing company we've used since moving into our home almost 6 years ago. Great service until recently. We have a new built in ice maker to install in an area with no drain or water line, but easy access from basement to do so. In fact two employees came out on two different occasions to assess the job. Both said it was doable but after a some confusion on their part, Jeff decided he didn't want the job and referred us to Hessville. This has set us back considerably. Communication could have been better from the start. We will most likely have to find a new go to plumbing company. read more

Once again Chris has did an excellent job at replacing my toilet. The bolts on the old one rusted off and since the toilet was a random brand from Menards he suggested another brand. Picked it up and came straight to install it first thing the next day. I always get excellent service from Tiger plumbing. We used Tiger on our gut rehab project for a whole house rough-in and fixture work. It was one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor. - Quality John - did most of our work and he's an expert. The work was clean and crisp. He moved fast and had no trouble navigating the 100 year old house. He saved us some time - we provided fixtures but he knew gotchas with them and told us up front to make sure we had all the right parts ahead of time. Cory - finished up some of the fixture work for us and he was the same - working smart, methodically, and fast. - Good communication Texts the day before with a profile of the plumber coming over. Texts and calls when they're on the way. Electronic invoices with an itemized breakdown of the work for easy record keeping. - Professionalism They give a window for when they show up and they're there during that window. No cancellations. They are respectful and work hard. They finished ahead of schedule. There was an issue with getting permits (our fault) and Jeff and Kimberly were patient while we rectified the situation so that we could stay on schedule. - Value They're fairly priced and honest. Our hot water heater went out on Saturday night, and we texted Tiger Plumbing so that we could be in the line for service first thing Monday morning. At around 8:00 they called and, after explaining the problem, they said they would be out in the early afternoon. They actually made it out early and installed a new hot water heater. (Our old one was a Maytag that lasted at least 21 years, since we moved in!!) They were excellent, very informative, and professional, and got the job done by 2:30. We were especially impressed with the texts that are sent from the Tiger Plumbing office, explaining who will be coming and a brief bio, describing experience, etc. 5 STARS FOR TIGER! Cory was my technician. He was awesome! Not only did he explain in detail everything, he did a very nice job. He needed to cut and replace part of the cast iron stack pipe in the basement. He also replaced the clean out. It looks so nice. He also cleaned the mess. I used Tiger Plumbing once before and this was my second time. I will continue to use them for any future plumbing needs. Not the worst but certainly not the best. I contacted Tiger Plumbing to evaluate my ejector pump. In the time to took them to arrive (which wasn't long) I had figured out the problem but decided to have them change the pump anyway seeing as it was 15 years old even though the pump was working fine. I paid the $625 for the pump, which I feel is slightly on the high side although not out of range. The pump they installed is somewhere in the $400 range although they probably paid wholesale not retail. So, $200+ profit for less than an hour's work is not bad for them. While the plumber was at my home for less than an hour, I asked him to quickly look at another project before he left. He gave me a rough estimate of the cost before leaving. The problem I have with them is I had to call them and request a digital receipt as one was not provided. Moving on, I decided to have them quote another project so I contacted Kimberly and had to ask to have a gas line quoted. I was under the assumption that if the price was agreed upon the plumber would have worked on the project the same day. I was wrong, I took off the entire day to be here for an estimate that took less than 10 minutes. Once again, nearly a week goes buy and I have to contact them again and ask for the quote for the gas line. When it was emailed over, it was nearly $200 higher than the rough estimate given to me by the first employee. Pros: Nice text message explaining who is coming out and their experience level. Prompt service depending on your situation (pump failure) Cons: 1. Poor emailing of invoices and quotes. 2. Extreme price fluctuations and high labor rate. Technician will not give you the estimate at the time of visit, must be emailed from office which is a significant delay (and mark-up). 3. First plumber (although nice) reeked of smoke. Our water heater was leaking and Jeff came out the same day to check it out. Our water heater was 17 years old so it was time to replace it. He sent me a quote that evening and we scheduled the appointment for installation. Cory came out 2 days later to install our new water heater. He got the job done quickly and was very friendly. He hauled away the old water heater and cleaned everything up when he was done. All along the way, we got text message updates about our appointments and a phone call prior to the plumber coming out. They came to my home didn't do the work that we called them out to do. They screwed around for over an hour and didn't fix anything. Their technician was cocky and claimed he was all knowing. He did everything he could to make sure that he had an excuse not to do the work we contracted them to do. Then left taking a lot of money from us and ultimately doing nothing except making things worse. They left a household with a small child without a working shower or a bathroom at all. Had two toilets replaced with comfort height toilets. They showed up on time, were very courteous and professional, did the job quickly, cleaned up everything and hauled away the old toilets. I had a previous experience with them where I called them out for a repair the city said I needed but they proved I didn't and didn't charge me for the call. Definitely recommended. Only reason they didn't get five stars is because they are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. read more

While I normally handle all my own plumbing, quite frankly, I was at my limit in terms of time or energy in October, so I rang up Tiger after reading their reviews. They got my plumber out the next morning, first thing, with the promise of a no service call cost free estimate. I was both called and texted the next morning to let me know he was on his way, and whom they were sending. The text included his photo and a short bio (a nice touch). Matt arrived a few minutes earlier than expected, gave me an estimate quickly, which was reasonable. I went ahead and authorized the work, which took only about 2 hours. After having me run water, flush toilets etc to be sure my lines were completely free, the job was done. Total only $20 more than anticipated. All in all, it was a very easy process, at a fair price, with a quality plumber doing the job. Receipt was emailed to me promptly (within 5 minutes) for my records. I would absolutely recommend Tiger, and wouldnt hesitate to call them again. read more

These guys Jeff and John (especially) are the best. They came to our rescue on more than one occasion. We have a rental building that had some issues with hot water running out of the tub faucet. Were were told that the tub surround or the vanity needs to come out and have the valves replaced. That sounds expensive right?? So John came to our rescue. He looked at the faucet (which is very and not a brand name) he knew right away what to do and said "I'll go to a specialty parts store for you, purchase the parts to replace for $225.00".
