We ordered the 50-50 catfish and shrimp combo and the c'est la vie potato. With our tea and lemonade, the total came to $47.64. Unfortunately, the meal definitely did not meet our expectations. The fish and shrimp were small, the potato was small and undercooked in the middle and hard to chew. Only saw two small bites of crabmeat in the sauce. Well, the food itself had an acceptable flavor, it just was not enough to be satisfying. We left hungry and ended up stopping somewhere else to eat. I will say the waitress was nice. This was my first visit and my last.

There was one time we went and I had started to not feel good and the waiter made sure I had an ice water to cool me down and make me feel better. And extra napkins so I could use them with the ice water to cool my face down. The environment of the restaurant is also very nice. Low lighting, not too bright. Background music not too loud.

I visited Sno's several months ago with another friend for the first time in many years. We were pleasantly surprised by the many, very reasonable, lunch menu options including the chef specials. I ordered the Crab Cake Eggplant dish, and my friend ordered the Beef Tips Chimichurri with potatoes. My dish was delicious, but hers...Oh My! That steak melted in my mouth like butter and the sauce! I knew right then, that next time I visited Sno's, I would be getting those beef tips! Fast forward to today. Our waitress, Michelle, went above and beyond. She was very kind, knowledgeable, attentive, and a fellow foodie, I love that. I was more than ready for my beef tips....BUT, they were no longer on the menu. Turns out the chef specials change out. So, disappointedly, I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Bowl. It was pretty good, but it was not the Beef Tip Chimichurri. We are considering returning to Sno's with our monthly lunch group in December, and if we do, we plan to ask for Michelle, to take care of us. I would also like to request that the beef tips come back to the chef special menu for the Month of December. I'll be calling in advance to check and see.. Other than my rant about beef tips, Sno's is a lovely dining experience. The ambiance is beautiful and the staff is top notch. Having just celebrated 55 years of serving the Gonzales/Baton Rouge, area says a lot. You don't reach 55 years without doing something right. Be even better if they brought back those lunch beef Tips...maybe to stay? Yeah, ok I'll sit down now.
