If you are a Thai food lover, you will love Tiger + Lily! The servers were extremely attentive and kind, even when they spilled some of the ramen my daughter ordered. They brought her a new one right away without us even having to ask. The ambiance is modern and chic. The outdoor seating is small, but so is all outdoor seating downtown. I ordered the vegetable rolls and the Tso Good Chicken (one of their most popular dishes) with house made Yum Yum sauce. I'm so sad we have to go back home tomorrow and can't be regulars! This place was good, but I wasn't overly impressed as I was expecting. The crispy dumplings were really nice and had good flavor, while my signature ramen bowl was not as flavorful as I was hoping. The depth of the chicken just wasn't there. The noodles were nice, but the soy egg was not very tasty. They also put a few chunks of chicken in randomly that felt over cooked/bland. I just discovered Tiger + Lily this month and it has become a favorite for flavor from first bite! I have now eaten here twice and both times the food was absolutely delicious. First visit was really good overall. This review is for my second visit, and the speed of service was to the point I almost asked my partner if he wanted to leave before we were even given waters or a menu but I didn't. We arrived at 5:49pm and I was excited that I would make the end of happy hour. It was 6:07pm when our food was put in from the receipt time stamp. So about 15 mins. The food was really great, but the speed of service not so much. I would not let the slow service stop you from enjoying a meal here though. For parking, you can look on or around Gay Street. I ended up finding an app meter spot on North 3rd Street. Twice now I have ordered the TSO Good Chicken Bowl ($11.95). It is a panko-crusted chicken. I went with the Yum Yum sauce for the dish this time and would recommend going with the standard tangy citrus sauce. The bowl comes with a very small mix of salad, some very yummy rice, and assorted mix of their house apple cider pickled vegetables. The slightly pickled cucumbers are my favorite and all the flavors are really amazing in the dish. We got an order of Crispy Dumplings to share ($7.95). I really liked these and will have to get these again! Totally recommend this appetizer and perfect for two to share. My partner had the Tiger's Signature ($14.95) - It is ramen in a beef broth with minced spicy turkey, caramelized chicken chashu, soft boiled egg, enoki mushroom, corn, scallions, nori, sesame seeds, shredded pepper, their house special black garlic and added the pork belly too (+$2). He really enjoyed it and said it had a lot of bright flavors working together. Service was extremely slow both visits but this visit was the worst. The restaurant has a nice casual feel and fun appeal to it but seating is a bit limited. I had to sit at the window bar both times which is really getting old, especially for this date night but with it as it was a Friday and happy we could get a seat. Another critique is during happy hour you get $2 off an appetizer and we missed it. I would recommend coming earlier due to the length of time to be seated and to order. This visit took way too long to get someone to come around to drop off water, to get menus and to order. It was about 15 minutes and left me looking around a couple of times for our server. I missed the happy hour price but it was only $2 so wasn't the end of the world but would have been nice if it was honored. I chose not to say anything about the service or the bill so that's on me for not wanting to be "that guy". The service was friendly and I would absolutely come back for the food. There is so much more I would like to try, I would just recommend to allow more than enough time and be prepared to wait during every step of the dining process. I am talking about from being seated, to ordering and getting your food, to getting your check and paying. Definitely a major area for improvement but you can't go wrong with the food. read more

My experience was mixed. First, the place smelled overwhelming of rancid grease, which was very unpleasant. On the positive side, I had the lemongrass chicken, which was very good, although I really couldn't detect the lemongrass. First time in Columbus, Ohio, and we were looking for some good food. Yelp had good reviews for Tiger and Lilly and it wasn't too far from the Hilton. The pop fries are very good! Ours were warm and crispy with their delicious garnishes. Also their spicy edamame were really good. We made quick work of the appetizers. We ordered three dishes: the TSO Good Chicken for the meat eater, and Miso Vegetable + Tofu and DonDon Maseman Tofu for the vegetarians. If you like peanut sauces the DonDon is for you. Rich flavors, slightly spicy, great noodles. The Miso Vegetable + Tofu has a great base, with tasty additions of pickled shitake mushroom, nori, corn, and other goodies. It's mild but flavorful, and a nice big bowl to fill a hungry tummy. The meat eater in our group, who is quite picky, said the TSO Good Chicken lived up to its name. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food came quickly enough and was worth any wait. The music wasn't too loud, the lighting is dictated by the large windows on the street, and only the TVs on each wall were a distraction from the good vibe and good food. read more

Tiger + Lily is a new-to-me ramen establishment, both characteristics that make me immediately interested in checking them out. There is a lot of potential here, but they are not quite there. I ordered two "signature" menu items: The Pop Fries (waffle fries, Korean BBQ Angus steak, kimchi, green onion, sriracha, Japanese aoli, Parmesean cheese), and Numbing Beef (thick noodles, Angus beef tenders, Szechuan peppercorn, chili peppers, tomato, garlic, green onions, cucumbers, spices, sesame seed) The fries came out looking golden but very undercooked and without the beef. The Numbing was over-seasoned to the point that bites were "gritty" from the seasonings that were thrown in but unable to be cooked into the dish due to the prep and/or volume. I abandoned the fries after two bites and did the same with over half of the Numbing. The wait staff did not check on me during my meal or ask if everything was alright when they carried off nearly full plates. Bad, right? I want them, though, to be good. I'm hopeful that this is something that will sort itself out before I'm back in town again, though I have to be honest, I will have to talk myself into taking a second chance. One of my favorite spots to grab food here in the #cbus is at @tigerandlilyinspired. The appetizers and entrees are pretty amazing here. I have not found a dish that I do not like yet. My go-tos are the crispy chicken dumplings, wings, turkey tan tan, and the Korean #BBQ #CHICKEN bowl. If you can't do spicy, make sure that you tell them to adjust the spice level to your liking. I usually top my meal off with the passionfruit green tea. The service is average for the most part. Meaning they'll take your order with a pleasant smile and get it right for the most and it's relatively quick and speedy service. Ambiance kind of depends on the time of day. During the day time you have a more businessy type of feel. Most folks come in with their teams long enough to eat within 30 mins and then be out. Perfect place if you're in town for work travel, especially if you're solo, as it's very chill and very casual. It's also very inexpensive! I came in and ordered a lychee sake martini, which came right out. The place itself was not that crowded - most people came in for take out orders. I ended up going with the Tom Yum Ramen, which was highly recommended. It was hella spicy! Luckily, they were super nice enough to give me extra broth. I am so happy I ate it here so I was able to tone down the spice. Once I did, I thought it was very tasting. Super filling too! I could have easily split this! Not authentic Asian food but probably made to gear towards the audience in Columbus. The dandan noodles aren't what's typically expected in china at least, and the Boba milk tea (I had the black silk milk tea) seem to rely heavily on the white syrup for flavor which is unfortunate. Came here with a friend for indoor dining on a weekday and they were a decent bit busy. We both split an order of their fries app (because who can resist some kimchi and waffles fries, am I right???) and each got our own ramen. The fries were pretty good - I wish they had a little bit more filling to fries ratio but what they did have was great. The signature ramens were also interesting - it looks like they use turkey as the base meat for them. I did really like the flavors of the broth. I'm usually more of a creamy, hearty broth kind of person, but there's something to be said about a great solid clear one too. They're also very generous with the noodles. I will say I'm not the biggest fan of the turkey though - the ground meat was okay but the slices were a little dry and didn't add much flavor. I think if you're craving ramen this might be a solid choice, and they look like they've got a lot of cool desserts and drinks (and boba?) options too! read more

We came here for dinner on Sunday, 01/02/23 for a quick dinner. Meter parking was pretty easy to find right in front of the place. Ambience: its a small, but cute place. However its was FREEZING in there; I looked around and the other customers had their coats on too. Our reason to eat ramen in the winter was to warm up so the cold temperature in the place at arrival was not great. Having said that, the establishment heated the place about 30-45 mins into us sitting down because we were literally rubbing our hands together every 2 secs. Food: we got the fried dumplings, two ramens and the karage chicken. All the food was delicious however the meat portions in the ramens was TOO little. There were only a few pieces of chicken in the tom yum ramen and less than a handful of the minced turkey in the turkey ramen. We were really disappointed with that and its the reason I took the star out. Service: pleasant and friendly. Would I recommend and return?
