I ordered the Oregon Fields Strawberry and wow super good! It tasted like real, fresh strawberries, the way strawberry ice cream should taste. My friend went with a milkshake and really enjoyed it as well. And can we talk about the cone?! I don't know what it's made out of, but it tasted like sugar, butter, and dreams. Honestly one of the best cones I've ever had and it completely elevated the ice cream. The atmosphere is super cute, and I loved learning about their origin story, it just adds to the charm of the place. I'll definitely be back because now I have my eye on the salted caramel.

The katsu chicken bowl was not great. Chicken was dry, and not very hot. Egg was cooked well but didn't really balance with the curry. It needed a pop of acidity somewhere, but just didn't have it. The food I give a 2, pushed it up to a 3 bc of the playground for the kids. Overall, given the reviews my expectations were too high. This place is okay.

But we received a BOGO coupon in the mail, and sure enough we wanted to try them out again. When we got there, the bobarista happily accepted the coupon and took our order. I went for their Lychee Green Tea and P2 ordered their Uber Smoothie. It didn't take too long for our drinks to come out, around 5-7 minutes. We were seated on some comfy chairs, and the bobarista served our drinks to us. I think presentation-wise, they did a good job. They claim to have "beverage aesthetics" and I tend to agree. Does having good "beverage aesthetics" make a drink taste better? No, definitely not. We both thought our drinks weren't too bad, however. I had ordered my drink with 0% sugar but I added boba to mine. My drink also already came with lychee coconut, so the two toppings sweetened my drink naturally. P2 complained that her drink was still too sweet for her liking. We appreciated the service and the pleasant ambience inside. I took off a star because the drinks were just too expensive. Without a coupon, I don't think we would come back here with drinks costing $7-8 each!

The green tea and cherry were perfectly divine. * * * Normally I give one star to any bakery that leaves me with a chemical aftertaste. It was their first time experiencing Beard Papa cream puffs. The cream puffs were just as delicious as they were previously. My friends are now Beard Papa evangelists. Everyone liked the firm, yet soft crust along with the cream inside the cream puffs. Our cashier was friendly and fast. She backed up the cream puffs so fast, it could make your head spin. While Beard Papa did not have any other customers, H-Mart and the restaurants in the food court were super busy. The H-Mart environment was fast and furious. While the parking lot was full, you could easily find parking spaces.

The beer we had was the House United Coffee Stout. Every once in a while I do love a good Coffee Stout! Recently we got their signature fatcarons - whipped vanilla and biscoff. The biscoff was good but the vanilla was like a DELICIOUS PILLOW! And yes, they are like pudgy macaroons! Also tried their cupcakes, with the standout (SO light but flavorful) being their taro milk tea one. The red velvet one was a bit more dense & the icing less light. The team at the counter is patient as you drool over their goodies in the cases, and ready to whip you up a beverage when you're ready. After 15 came back in and was told just another 5 min. 5 min goes by and someone else came out and said they never made our cake. They can make a smaller size instead and compensate 1/2 our money back or else refund us our money. Is this even a choice at that time when it was the day of the event?!? So we choice the smaller size of course. Come to find out later that day when we cut into the cake all the cream spilled out of the cake like melted ice cream and the only thing holding it together on the outside was the fondant. I emailed the owner and nothing no response not even an apology. Not a good way to do business. And a horrible way to celebrate our son's first bday!!!
