I told her we bought both dresses from her store. She said no. Then I thought maybe she thinks I mean a nicer zipper bag, so I explained. She still said no. I asked if I could pay for 2 bags. Nope. She was not friendly and I was shocked at the lack of customer service. I walked down to Windsor (a different store with prom dresses) and asked if I could buy 2 bags. She asked if I meant a nice bag or just the plastic ones. I told her plastic. She said I'll just give them to you abs was very nice! I told her about Macy's and she was equally shocked. I've worked in retail for years, and would never dream of treating a customer like this.

I found a really beautiful pair of crystal earrings that were marked down from $75.00 to $25.00. Based on this alone, I would have given this store four stars. However, when I took my earrings to the jewelry counter to pay for them, this is where what happened next lowers my rating to three stars. The woman at the counter was chit chatting with a customer, not anything the customer was buying there or anything. I stood there several minutes, and she knew I was there. She finally came to the counter and I handed her the earrings to pay for them. I gave her my Kohl's cash certificate. She informed me that wouldn't work, that I had to spend at least $50.00. I had read the conditions on the certificate, and it didn't say that at all. I've used these before, and never had an issue. So she reluctantly took it, and it rang up fine, took another $10.00 off my purchase. She seemed amazed that worked. Then she got distracted by two different people at the counter. One lady got there after I did, and she started taking of her while I stood there waiting to pay for my earrings. Then some guy wanted to pay for a belt, and she started arguing with him about how he couldn't pay for the belt at the counter, had to up front. So it looked like the machine was ready to take my debit card. I went through the transaction and waited for her to get my receipt so I could get out of there. So then she informed me that I was supposed to wait for her okay before running my card through. So she rang up my purchase and added another few pairs of earrings I didn't' give her to ring up. Before I could say anything, she informed me the total with extra earrings. I informed her that wasn't correct, that I only wanted the one pair of earrings. She seemed totally confused at this point. Then she acknowledged she made a mistake. She was flitting all over the place, very annoying. So I told her I wanted her to void the entire transaction. She had to call a manager to do a manual override. Because I used a debit card, they wound up having to give me the cash back. Then I used the cash to buy the original pair of earrings. If you go to this Kohls, avoid paying for anything at the jewelry counter, and use cash or a credit card, not a debit card. In summary, they have terrific deals, and one rather inept jewelry counter person. It was rather aggravating, but worth it in the end.

Easily my favorite store at the mall, and my preferred outdoor clothing outfitter. But not just…read morebecause of the amazing products. Assistant manager Stacy went above and beyond to help me with an issue. I had a tear in my brand new ecotherm parka(an accident by me). Being an expensive big purchase for me, I was pretty upset. I sat on the Eddie Bauer customer service line for literally hours, unable to reach anyone with the crazy holiday calls. I decided to try the store to see if they'd be able to help. Stacy was so helpful and immediately empathetic. She could tell I was upset and stressed, and threw out a few options that I had to remedy the situation. I wasn't expecting such a great outcome!!!! Obviously I wanted this jacket to last 10 years, and I was already amazed at how warm it was. I'm also a dog walker and outside a lot, and it has endured the coldest of the cold and soooo many dog nails from dogs jumping. Stacy restored my faith in outdoor retailers and I couldn't be happier. Shoutout to Stacy!!!!!!!
