I ordered a 7 piece furniture set, Kensington, which came in a timely manner, all pieces complete & perfect; except the Riverside Furniture has their product made in Viet Nam, and it's made with Manufactured wood, not hardwood. The veneer covering it also looks faux wood. It had a terribly strong odor of formaldehyde on top of the drawers especially. It made my very ill. I tried to wait it out like they tell you to, but upon more sleuthing online, I decided to return the entire set. I had no choice, I was getting sick inhaling the VOCs. I contacted Riverside Furniture who sent a text saying they would contact me, they did not. Macy's however, was very good about it, but I remove two stars for having the merchandise. The customer service will recommend waiting up to 2 yrs for the smell to go away, I would not do that. I had coughing and lung issues from it. A customer service rep, Gabriel, helped me schedule the return and the men who came to return the set were just as pleasant & helpful as the ones who delivered it; they even wore shoe covers. It is a shame the Riverside Furniture Company isn't acknowledging this issue with furniture their brand is on. I had to sleep on my sofa or out of my apartment waiting to get these items out of my home. I was ill throughout the 2 weeks I had to wait for the return delivery men. The set was made in 10/24, so it had plenty of time to cure for VOC fumes. I'd be super cautious about buying anything from the Riverside company. read more

My daughter and I have driven 3 hours, one way, to come to this Macy's for prom dresses for this year and last. Prom was last night and the dress bag (just a long garbage bag basically) got ripped. I happen to be in Appleton and my daughter asked if I could pick up 2 dress bags so she could pack away the 2 dresses. I spoke with a manager who wouldn't give me any bags. I told her we bought both dresses from her store. She said no. Then I thought maybe she thinks I mean a nicer zipper bag, so I explained. She still said no. I asked if I could pay for 2 bags. Nope. She was not friendly and I was shocked at the lack of customer service. I walked down to Windsor (a different store with prom dresses) and asked if I could buy 2 bags. She asked if I meant a nice bag or just the plastic ones. I told her plastic. She said I'll just give them to you abs was very nice! I told her about Macy's and she was equally shocked. I've worked in retail for years, and would never dream of treating a customer like this. read more

I make a beeline for the Clinique counter when I come here. Usually the ladies (and guy) there are polite and helpful! As far as the clothing goes, the selection is surprisingly limited and rather dull for a Macy's. And, only here and there will an employee greet you when you are wandering around. read more

I went into Macy's on 11/26/17 in search of a few men's dress shirts. I was asked by 3 different pushy employees to take my measurements, each of whom I told I already knew them. No big deal, but I felt a bit hassled by the third request. I picked out a few different shirts - all the same size - and walked to the dressing room to try one on and make sure it fit. I was asked again by another employee to take my measurements, and once again I declined. My wife walked into the dressing room with me while I tried on the shirt so that she could give her opinion. We assumed this was no big deal and we do this at many stores and the booths within the dressing room all have doors for privacy. Within about 30 seconds, a female employee stormed into the dressing room and demanded to know if there was a woman present. My wife spoke up and said yes, and the employee proceeded to lecture us about how men are entitled to the same privacy that women are entitled to, and my wife should know better and must wait outside. Berated and belittled, she walked out, and the employee continued her lecture, saying that if they had been allowed to take my measurements then I wouldn't have needed to try the shirts on and make them redo all of the pins. Are you kidding me? A polite, "Please wait outside, it's store policy," would have sufficed. The employee then returned to the dressing room and cleaned out the booth next to me. So, apparently, I am not entitled to the privacy she considered to be so important. Needless to say, I took off the shirt I had tried on, set it down, and walked out with my embarrassed and unhappy wife, and made my way to Men's Wearhouse, where I promptly spent several hundred dollars on clothes which I had intended to spend at Macy's. I don't think I'll ever return. Certainly not to this location, anyways. read more

I love Macy's. It is a place I really enjoy shopping in. I picked up some fun tights. Super nice people in the store. It's awesome

Customer service is everything and if I ask a very easy, simple question I would expect a polite response in return. Not a rude, dismissive comment. Extremely disappointing. read more

Just stopped to look for a new pair of jeans. I rarely shop at chain stores and more often than not find really great finds at the local thrift shop. I wanted to "treat" myself to something no one had worn yet. This store is janky and poorly managed. Dressing rooms are filled to the gills with everyone's cast offs. Not professional at all I have one star and will not be going back. While shopping a woman approached me asking if I worked there. Turns out she couldn't find anyone on the second floor to help her. read more

This place is so busy and so understaffed whenever I go in. I hate being blasted in the by perfume or hoarded by all these people who could actually be helping in other areas of the store that have no one available which is pretty much everywhere. I don't go here often because I hate it I only go when they are the only ones who have what I am looking for read more

TERRIBLE PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Called and the automatic voice messenger sent me to the wrong department, and then I was hung up on, not once, not twice, and not three times, but four! VERY unhappy. All times, you could hear workers discussing their own things with each other in the back ground. If I could rate a zero I would. Sorry but Macy's customer service just keeps getting worse and worse. read more
