We are locals and we love Mile market 49, Tide Tables. Recently we went there and had the mushroom appetizer and grouper nuggets. It was great, additionally I had the grilled chicken breast. Food is good. Service is good. View is good. What is not good and should be corrected is offer a military discount. At least do it for retired and active duty military. I do get it, it seems like lots of folks have veteran put on a card or license. I'm talking about folks with Active Duty or Retired Military cards. Big deference. For fresh seafood, this is THE place. Crowded, but worth a wait. My wife had the fish tacos and was thrilled. Sauce and the fish were outstanding. I ordered the fried shrimp and was so glad I did. Very large shrimp were battered and fried golden brown. I asked for tartar sauce and found it perfect. Cole slaw and a choice of fries or baked beans came with my fish. Order the beans. Best ever! I really wanted to give this place a better rating. Even after the 2nd visit a few days after the first. I just can't do any better than average. On the first visit I ordered the mojo chicken dinner. It was pretty dry, so I ask the guy behind the bar if I could get a bun to make a sandwich. He said to me with a pretty bad attitude "I asked you if you wanted the sandwich when you ordered" I told him sorry I ask dude, pull your horns back in. The wife's grouper was good she said. This attitude kind left a bad taste in my mouth. So, we went back 3 days later and didn't see the guy with the attitude and had a very nice friendly young lady take out order. Wife had the grouper again and I shrimp and fries. Service was good and food was good. But still think it's just an average bar with a view on the patio. A little overrated, but not awful. read more

Really great seafood, my only wish is that they would have let me choose different ways to cook my combo meal. I got the fish, scallops, and shrimp all deepfried, since I couldn't opt to get my fish and scallops grilled and my shrimp fried. Still, it was very good. This is one of our favorite places to visit when we come to Anna Maria! The food is fresh and wonderful and a lot of the sides and sauces are made in house. I can't get away from the grilled grouper and carrot salad...I look forward to it and rave about it all year long. They have a good causal setting too. We like to eat outside by the water and have seen dolphins both times we have been here which definitely adds to the experience. The staff had always been very attentive and friendly as well. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it is a little pricey ($15-$25 for entrees). This place is still a treat that we will indulge ourselves with every time we come down here. read more

Not fancy but the food is amazing, service outstanding and it's right in the water! Indoors has a bar and some tables. Outdoors has a large deck and more tables. We have been probably about 6-8 times and every time has been great. They have a nice selection of items on the menu but we always gravitate to the seafood items. FYI!!!! The bar is apparently -and by 'apparently' I mean only after getting yelled at by the hostess Barb would you know this- part of dining seating & if you sit there to PAY THE ESTABLISHMENT FOR DRINKS & FOOD while you wait for a table, you'll get evicted by an extremely rude hostess. This kind of seating system is not common knowledge & because the hostess didn't inform us of this we didn't know to go to a different bar while waiting for our reservation to get called. Total shame the hostess was super rude because the ambiance & food was good! Kindness goes a long way and thats just common sense for anyone in hospitality. read more

Stopped on our way home from Anna Maria Island Beach. Yelp hasn't steered us wrong yet. Great place on the river. Beautiful sunset and great food. The fish Tacos grilled were fantastic. Wife had shrimp pizza boy and daughter had low tide fried shrimp. All excellent. The Key Lime pie was seriously out of this world. Very creamy and the crust amazing. What a great local fresh off the docks seafood restaurant. My third time eating here & the first two times I had the grouper sandwich that's the best in the area but this time i tried the Maui fish tacos and they were really good with a hint of Asian sauce. The others at the table had a variety of food, shrimp poor boy, seafood platter and grouper sandwich and everyone loved their food. The waitress was a local who was very attinative to out large party. It's a hidden treasure tight over the Cortez bridge from Anna Maria Island. Finally decided to try a homemade dessert since I've always heard how good they are. Three of us share a pina colada pie and it was so good and the graham cracker crust was an added bonus. read more

We had a group of 4 people, and we ordered: blackened mahi mahi sandwich, blackened fish tacos, combo platter (blackened), chicken andouille gumbo, grouper chowder, and grouper bites. Out of all of that, the only thing that was kind of disappointing, but still delicious, was the grouper chowder (disappointing because it was mostly chicken and very little grouper, but it was still very tasty). We were very impressed, everything was delicious, and if we lived in the area we would come in frequently. Just FYI, it's not a "fancy" place, and you will eat out of baskets, plastic plates and silverware, plastic cups, and paper towels for napkins (which was totally fine with us). read more

This place was awesome! We came here after an afternoon at the beach while visiting my in-laws and wanted some late lunch. I loved the outdoor beach bar; the 6 of us sat at a picnic table outdoors. Amongst our group we had a few orders of conch fritters (I'd never had them before, pretty tasty), shrimp tacos and their gumbo. Hi we were just at Tide Tables today..there were 4 of us. 5 was on her way. Outside was full, inside was empty so we went inside. 3 of us (4 Was in the bathroom) we were told by the gal with the leg brace that we could not sit in a table for 4-5 people because everyone wasn't here. And no one was inside, she made us leave. Very rude lady and condescending, treated us with no respect. We are locals and I understand you getting a lot of tourists in that area but we frequent tide tables twice a month it won't happen again. Horrible customer service . Guys locals like to honor our own! .. but this was handle very wrong. We were told we had to leave because our party of 4 weren't here! This was totally bad customer service! read more

Delicious! The only reason I did not rate 5 stars was due to the limited choice of sides! It wouldn't hurt to add a veggie side but everything we had was delicious. My blackened cobia sandwich didn't last more than a few minutes. I had to slow myself to be able to enjoy the delicious flavor and seasoning of the fresh seafood. It definitely is fresh! They clean the fish straight off of the dock there attached to the restaurant and we got to watch them prepare the grouper. Relaxing environment on the water.
