This spot was a great hit for my family. My daughter had a BLT and she ate the entire sandwich. I ordered grouper checks and had a local IPA. My wife had a cheeseburger and she enjoyed that as well. We started coming here as a backup for starfish cafe and now it has become our favorite place to go to. Sometimes starfish down the street is just a zoo, while this place is more low key. The ambience is a a chill place by the ship yard. All their seafood is fresh and every little thing they make and do is with care. All the sauces are homemade and the beers are cheap. Their conq fritters and fish tacos are the best on the island. The conq fritters are crispy on the outside creamy on the outside. Their fish tacos are again the beat in the area, the corvina is incredible. The baked beans are phenomenal and the grouper sandwich is supreme. As a tourist, I was intrigued by a 4.5 star review of a restaurant serving food in disposable baskets. I thought wow I bet their food is amazing! I was unfortunately disappointed. The atmosphere is very casual, which I can appreciate. However it was not very clean and boarder line ghetto. We opened the menu and wow these "dishes" are pricy. (Averaging $15-$20 per) This food must be amazing! ...We wanted to try everything so we strategically each ordered something different. 1. Seafood platter with grouper: $30 Although cooked well, it was drastically under-seasoned. A little salt before one batters and frys goes A LONG WAY. The shrimp and scallops were both pretty good. The fries were, oh dear, frozen. HUGE Mistake! Coleslaw was watery but good. Baked beans were mushy but had good flavor. 2. Fish tacos: $15 These were so overly seasoned, we each had 1 bite and threw the rest out. Service was ok. Drinks were kinda cold. Overall grade from us... D+. We're vacationing on the island and my husband and I give this place 3.5 stars. Rounded up due to great service. We were able to be seated right away inside with our 2.5 old which was awesome for a Saturday night. The staff was all super friendly and very attentive. I got a bowl of Manhattan clam chowder and there was literally one clam in the entire bowl. Expected a bit more clam in a clam chowder. Love this place! First and foremost, the atmosphere and views are amazing. You can sit inside or outside by the water. Almost all tables outside are shaded so it won't get super hot. The atmosphere is fun and simple, just like Florida should be. The food we ordered was Delicious! The best part is that you can see them bringing in the fish fresh form the ocean and that's what they use! You can't go wrong with fresh fish. We started with the grouper bites which were so yummy. They are just lightly breaded, so you actually get nice big chunks of grouper. My husband ordered the special, blackened snapper, which was super good and fresh. My sister and I ordered the corvina fish tacos and I'm still drooling thinking about them. There were huge chunks of fish in the tacos (unlike some other places that put barely in) and the sesame ginger sauce on them was SO good. This place reminds me of the Florida I loved nearly 40 years ago. The staff was great and the food was fantastic! My party of six was seated outside. I never saw the interior but the outside bar area was classic old Florida. Our server, Virginia, was great. She answered every question with a smile and was attentive without hovering. To cut to the chase, get the grouper. No matter how it's served, the grouper is the star. We had it in tacos with local hot sauce. Perfectly cooked and large portions were the rule. The blackened grouper was good on it's own and with the special green curry sauce. At first blush, blackened seasoning doesn't necessarily go with curry. Not true. It actually goes quite well. The beer was cold, the Jai Alai and Cracker were favorites in our group. The ambiance was great. Service was friendly and attentive. We didn't save room for desert but the coconut key lime pie was sorely tempting. I guess we had to leave something for the next trip. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Dont expect fancy frills just good Florida seafood served while seated on wooden benches under open umbrellas by the water. The menu isn't big, but what they offer is great. The combo basket Is a favor of ours, the scallops and fried shrimp are delicious. Make sure to leave room for their Key Lime Pie. This was a new spot for us to try. It always seems busy but we were able to get seated quickly. There is limited seating indoors with the majority being outdoor seating. We got grouper bites for an appetizer and they were fresh and perfectly fried. We all tried the fish tacos and they were good. They have a ginger soy sauce on the tacos and it adds a nice flavor. I had the slaw topping held off and put lettuce tomato and red onion instead - I'm not a slaw fan. They also offer a carrot raisin salad that one from our party got and they liked it. I would go here again and I can see why it is a local favorite. When I go back I'll probably go for the grouper dinner as the grouper bites were the best thing we had. This place is about simple, FRESH food done right. Ambiance is also perfectly simple and understated. This is absolutely my favorite place in the Bradenton Beach/AMI area. This may sound like blasphemy, but it has replaced Rod & Reel as my go-to restaurant. After three years of vacationing in the area and stopping at R&R every year, I've finally admitted that I don't really like the food. Tide Table has all of the ambience of a waterfront restaurant, but with delicious food to boot! I got the fish tacos, baked beans, and key lime pie, and the people I was with for the grouper bites. Everything was amazing! The fish tacos were unforgettable. I'm going to be craving them for a year, until our next vacation. The service was good and friendly. Cute place and people there are very friendly but the food is very basic. A very limited menu. I had the fried shrimp which was delicious, they were huge, very lightly breaded and definitely fresh. All employees were friendly; they were all smiling and interacted in a simple positive manner making an effort to make your experience pleasant. The food was fresh and delish. I got highly reviewed grouper (grilled) as this is what they offer from local waters. It was tender and melted in my mouth. There are size options depending on how hungry you are. Corvina in fish tacos is the 2nd best selling option they have. But, this is the fish from the south, as I was told, and it was previously frozen. All depends how picky you are. The parking was very tight, but available when we got there. I can see how it can be a problem if the restaurant gets a tad crowded. it's on the slope of a hill since the restaurant is located right off the bridge, so it can be difficult to park or get out of there. If you want the "old Florida feel " eat here. My husband had the fish sandwich platter. He said it was very good. I started with the black bean soup, FABULOUS. My broiled scallops were perfectly prepared. Staci was so efficient and a true pleasure to chat with ( newly wed of four months). I asked if their key lime pie was homemade.
