The staff at this place are the rudest bunch I've ever encountered, enough to ruin a meal out, especially given the prices they charge. Sadly it hasn't been a one time occurrence, it's every time. I can't say enough great things about this place. FOOD WAS BOMB . The Service was great and hospitable. It was the first time my future wife's parents were going meet mine and they made us feel at home. The waiter Michael was a pro and did his best to keep our drinks topped off. These reviews can't be real. Between the reviews and the local people talking about this place, we expected more than average seafood chain-restaurant quality. We were wrong. Appetizers: Conch fritters were mushy. The ratio of conch to filling was terrible. The peel and eat shrimp were also mushy. Mains: The fish taco was pretty good. The grouper cheeks were greasy and the breading fell right off of them. The shrimp po-boy had like half an onion on it but only 4 shrimp. For $20, I'd expect a few more shrimp. The fries were pretty good. Nothing here was better than an average seafood chain. Really disappointing final meal of our beach vacation. read more

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Tide Tables on a sunny afternoon. My son had the fried shrimp and said it was delicious. You could tell that they freshly battered the shrimp themselves...no frozen stuff here. My daughter had the Mojo Chicken sandwich which was Huge! I enjoyed the grilled fish tacos immensely! Stuck in traffic near the Cortez bridge? Stop waiting in line to get to the beach and get your spot on the inlet for a perfect sunset. The place was very busy but well worth the wait and it was easy to get a drink in the meantime. Their menu has all the staples of a beach bar along with some great drink specials too. The views are lovely at the establishment. We're visiting so we were looking for a great place for lunch. We checked in and were told that we could go around to the tiki hut and order a drink while we waited for our table. We got over there and the guy says the bar isn't open yet. ??? Ok so we enjoyed our wait on the dock with umbrellas and tables. Got seated in about 10 min. I got jumbo shrimp and he got the fish tacos. Both were pretty good, but fries were cold. We always enjoy our experiences at Tide Table. The atmosphere is amazingly set on the marina overlooking the intra coastal waterways. The food mainly seafood is delicious. The service always fair and the staff is fantastic. In that respect is only beer, wine and sangria served here.This is probably my #1 place for a complete overall experience. We went on a Saturday night and the wait was about an hour. Parking is really tough. The food was probably a 4 star - the service wasn't great. Was a challenge to get water refills. The tables aren't overly clean sitting outside. The food did taste fresh. They said they were famous for the fish tacos and those were just okay. The key lime pie was incredible. Would highly recommend. If going with kids that would struggle to wait for a long time I wouldn't recommend. It's a small restaurant and likely will always have to wait. read more

Great patio for enjoying a great day on AMI! The patio is sunshin-y and a good place to meet people. Their picnic tables seat 8, and you can expect to share with other hungry people. Most successful entrees were the Peel n' eat shrimp and the Shrimp basket. Both of those were served with a carrot salad. Shrimp was good. Fresh, nicely cooked. Neither cared for the carrot salad (claimed it was flavourless). I had the Fish Tacos with coleslaw. The taco portions were large (3 per serving) and the cabbage added a nice crunch, the spicy mayo had a nice flavour. BUT...maybe this is just me...but I did not like the Corvina. There were many bites that I would describe as slimy. My coleslaw was underwhelming - needed seasoning. And, I ordered their pink lemonade. It was pretty lacking in lemon-y flavour. In fact, it mostly tasted of water. Next time I'd stick to the shrimp, order some beer and enjoy the sunny views! read more

Nice atmosphere- picnic tables right on the water, but fish was overall underwhelming. The mahi mahi was overcooked and dry. The fish tacos were pretty good but didn't compare to Starfish seafood market tacos. Generous amount of fish in the tacos, but excessive sauce left the tacos soggy and overwhelmed the fish. The blackened grouper was very good though, but more expensive than our favorite starfish seafood market. read more

Met some friends at this waterside spot in Cortez. Nothing fancy to look at but excellent and ultra fresh seafood. Beer, wine and cider only. We ate at the patio around back. There are 8 or ten tables surrounding a bar. There were heaters going on this night and I guess the cold temps were holding back the crowds, as we sat right down. The menu is all about seafood. We split conch fritters as an appetizer. I tried blackened grouper with baked beans and slaw. Amy had the fish tacos. Our friends had the grouper sandwich and a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. The fish is very fresh, as you'd expect from a waterside spot in a fishing village. The grouper was a sizable fillet, white, flaky, moist and blackened to perfection. The spice was enough to complement the fish, not overpower. The beans tasted homemade with a little kick to them. They're a little too mashed for my taste, but super tasty. Cole slaw OK, but not special. Fish tacos were a great choice, 3 to a serving stuffed full with grilled grouper, slaw and cheese in a soft tortilla. Same great grouper, but prepared without the blackening for the tacos. I didn't get a taste of the fried grouper sandwich or the Caesar with shrimp. Both plates were empty at the end so I assume those were great choices as well. That brings us to dessert..... And the key lime pie is the bomb! Tart, creamy and rich with graham cracker crust and a few dollops of whipped cream. This is as good a key lime pie as I've had anywhere.... And I've had a LOT of key lime pie. If what you're after is a taste of real Florida - waterfront fresh fish in a no frills atmosphere - this is your spot! read more
