Tide Cleaners on Fry has officially taken me on a laundry rollercoaster. * First, they lost our clothes. * Then, they said they actually didn't lose them. * Then, surprise--they found them. * But wait--turns out they did lose a pair of pants. * But no worries--they definitely didn't lose anything else. * Then they called to explain the super official process of how they know they didn't lose anything. * Only to call AGAIN because, plot twist--someone else returned some of our missing clothes. Oh and for the missing clothes that they still definetly never had or didn't lose or maybe lost, they need a receipt for everything over $100. Moral of the story: I highly recommend not using Tide Cleaners unless you enjoy mystery, confusion, and rage. Ooooh my gosh it gets worse. This is why they don't list their prices in the store! They charge whatever they want and choose for you to make it more expensive! This place is shady! One occasion I was being charged for dress pants instead of dress shirts (4x more). When I caught it they corrected that transaction... no way to know how many other times I was overcharged. I gave another chance and looked closely at my receipt today. For some dress shirts I was charged $3 and others $8+.... I took them back and was told because of the material I was charged more... even though the label is machine washable, they dry cleaned some. Seriously, easy washable wrinkle free shirts they charged me over $8. each. Was told that I would have to request wash, not dry clean.... For machine washable shirts. Took two white shirts to get the rings removed from the collar and cuffs and they failed to clean them properly, and still charging nearly $10 for each shirt! Although they offered to re-do it, but because I have to travel on Monday and they couldn't expedite the cleaning in time to get the shirts to me, nor refund my money - I won't use these guys ever again! read more

I recently moved here and need to have a few items dry cleaned. I thought I give this place a try since it's close to home. I dropped off 4 items for dry clean, and it's my bad for not asking how much it would cost. Base on my previous experiences with other dry cleaners, it can't be that high. I was totally wrong. They gave me a receipt, stating that I can pick up the items on Thursday. I showed up and only 1 item was ready, and the other 3 was being worked on; they have no idea when it'll be ready. The girl helping me was really nice (the only positive thing in this whole ordeal), she went back to check for my other 3 items. She rang me up and gave me the sweater while I wait for the other 3 items. The charge was $8 and some change. I asked her if she charged me for everything or just the sweater, she informed me that she had charged me for everything. In my mind, I was thinking this place was so reasonably price. She located my 3 dresses and handed them to me. I drove off, thinking I would recommend this place to my families. About 3 hours or so later, they called me up to tell me I didn't pay for the dry cleaning on the 3 dresses. I still owe them $75.18 for the 3 dresses. I was shocked at the EXTREMELY HIGH prices and voiced my concerns. The manager got on the phone and tell me I need to pay additional $75.18. She claimed the price was set by the corporate and they can't change the prices. She kept referring to one of my dress as a jumpsuit, and that I was lucky they charged me as such because it was cheaper. The price is more for dresses, and if they are long (my dresses are only calf length). I told her I would come by to pay when I'm in the area since they don't have my card on file (thanks goodness), but I am not making special trip to pay for it since this is their mistake. She rudely told me there's no mistake there and I still have an open ticket. I told her if there was no mistake there, then how was I not charged correctly and was able to walked out with all 4 items? She rudely tell me " THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES" then hung up. This location took a table cloth from me for pressing - knowing I needed it the next day. They said I could pick it up after 6 the next day. When I arrived there was no table cloth I was told it wouldn't be ready til Feb 7 - more than 2 weeks after the date of drop off. I told them I needed it back and could press it myself. They couldn't produce it. Wouldn't tell me where it was or how to pick it up. They simply continued to lie and I still haven't got the table cloth. I had been using them since they opened. Until recently, there have been no issues. The last few times, I have had nothing but problems, as in them saying items are ready, then not being able to locate them, having spoken with the manager who offered to provide a store credit, then not making good on the offer. The final straw was when I dropped off a shirt to be cleaned, upon arriving home I noticed they broke two buttons. So I returned the item still unworn and with the wrapping and receipt on it and asked them to replace the buttons. I returned today, not only did they charge me again for another cleaning, they didn't even fix the buttons they broke. I don't know who else I am going to start using but it will not be this location. They charge more than any other place, which is fine when they provide the corresponding service. Have used this location for a while now, brought in several shirts for my husband, requested light starch. Came home and the neighborhood kids could have the shirts as a slide. Gave the cleaners another chance and the same thing happened again. This time I took the shirts back and requested light starch; Tide said the shirts would need to be washed again to get rid of the excessive amount of starch. Picked the shirts up yesterday and all the did was wash the shirts and hung them on hangers. Not one was even pressed. Not very happy!!! read more

The first time experience was really good, the drivethru drop off and pickup were smooth and friendly. The second time... the lady wearing glasses was unfriendly, it's a drivethru, how can you expect driver/customer get off the car to close the trunk you open?? You go to any drivethru, nobody gonna let you get off your car, right?? This lady after hearing"Can you pls close the trunk for me? My baby is gonna freak out if I leave the car" She was really unhappy and said "really? You serious?" Tide Cleaners 9814 Fry Road, Cypress, TX I bought in 4 toddler dresses, 1 of which was new, to have the hems let out to 1/2" and when I went to pick them up, over a 1" hem was added to each dress. Apparently the tags were written up incorrectly despite having spoken to the alterations lady directly; 2 tags set let hem down and 2 tags said let hem up. However, they were all wrong. Staff member said they don't know where the item is and couldn't even refund the amount we were charged because a manager wasn't there. I chose this location based on the reviews and was beyond disappointed by my experience. Dropped off on a Sunday and was told it would be ready by Tuesday. Showed up around 5pm and my things were still not ready. She never explained to me that her quoted time meant at the end of the day on Tuesday. I was patient and called back that same day to see if my things were ready and was told they were. When I pulled up, she told me to wait another 20 minutes. Why would she say my things were ready if I was going to have to wait when I arrived? THEN I wasn't even given all of my things. I was missing my comforter. But the cherry on top is that I received not one but TWO bags of someone else's clothes. Literally the worst dry cleaning experience of my life. I drove 30 minutes from my house to this store because I thought I would be receiving quality service. NOW I have to return someone else's things that I was given and pick up the comforter that should have been included in my things yesterday. This was not worth the money I spent.
