They only gave three small flour tortillas with the meal, which is definitely not enough for the portion/price so it would've been good if they gave more or asked if we wanted more. The atmosphere is fun, restaurant is clean. Service was slow but friendly. The biggest downside was the horrible parking situation. The parking lot is jampacked and many of the spots are signed that say you cannot park there for Elvira. I really loved these enchiladas and I'd honestly get them again. Solid flavor in the rice and beans as well. My friends also enjoyed their meal and it seemed like everyone was happy. The pricing is a little steep for Mexican food but also the ambiance and presentation make sense to me why it'd be a little more. For the three of us the bill was over $100. And that's for three mains and three non-alcoholic drinks. Normally at $33-ish a person I'd hope for at least a beer with my enchiladas, so keep that in mind. I recently visited this Kulturas, and I plan to write a yelp review on this new business soon, after I have had a few more visits here and I've solidified my opinion. However, now that Kalaveras has closed, I'd like to post my review on my experiences here. I have been to this Kalaveras about a dozen times over the last few years. Throughout all my experiences the food and the drinks were always very good, and I had no problems whatsoever. The service at this Kalaveras was very good most of the time, and I only experienced one bad waitress with a bad attitude. The atmosphere here was always clean, vibrant and inviting. The only problem that seemed to exist was that this restaurant was VERY LOUD inside, so much so that the people I regularly go to restaurants with often did not want to come here. I've seen other folks mention how loud it was at this Kalaveras in their yelp reviews as well. This atmosphere appeared to be targeted for an audience in their twenties, and in large groups, especially for folks looking for a club/night-life environment. Unfortunately, I believe this environment was just annoying to older folks, or even any age group of people who actually wanted to hear the person with whom they were talking. Overall, this Kalaveras was a very good restaurant with very good service, with only one major flaw: the loud noise. From my first experience at Kulturas, it appears that the owners and managers here are trying to make improvements, and they are trying to transition this restaurant from a 3-star or a 4-star location to a 5-star location.
