I had the beef momo's which were to die for :) It's worth the wait because they were freshly made~! It's served with a chill sauce on the side which is like the cherry on top. Had two vegetarian meals. I don't think that the four stars are justified for this restaurant. It's good, but, the flavors are relatively mild and don't stand out unless you add some external spice to the meal. Once that's done, then I'd push to 3.5 stars. However, for a quick, reasonably priced meal that's not drive thru, you probably can't do much better than Tibet Kitchen. read more

I'm not very satisfied with my experience here. My boyfriend and I came to order takeout, when we asked some questions about the menu we were given very vague and unenthusiastic answers. I, being a curry fanatic ordered the chicken curry, my boyfriend ordered the chicken fried rice. Our order came out fairly quickly(within 10 minutes), which was nice. However, when I got home, I realized what I received was most definitely not curry. It was extremely watery, and had NO flavor. Basically tasted like the broth for chicken soup. However, my boyfriends fried chicken was pretty yummy, by no means the best I've had but decent. So, if you want curry, go somewhere else. read more

Terrible Tibetian versions of indian food. Eating here was like eating toned down Indian Food. No flavor. Lunch deal- pile or rice and some entree like Chicken curry. 3 or 4 pieces of chicken in a crappy curry sauce. No vegetables or anything in the curry except a disintegrated potato. I came back to give this place a second chance and got the mo-mo. Chunky heavy thick dense dumplings to say the least. The dough is thick and heavy. What a waste of time effort and money. I tried to call an order in advance so we could eat before they closed at 10. I called at 9:30 and the rude man on the phone said we could not eat in house because they close at ten..even though I was calling at 9:30. Other restaraunts would totally be fine with this but obviously they don't care about their customers since it seems they stop taking orders at 9:30!? And again, they close at 10. Not only does it taste good, it is cheap. I went only once, had their hand-made noodles thenthuk and it was alright but their forte is the dumplings (called mo-mo). I had the combination dumplings in which I tried the beef, vegetables and chicken, all of them were delicious! I like to know what I am eating with my taste buds, not with my eyes and this place has captured the taste of each meat and vegetable. When I go next time, all I am getting are the mo-mos. I hate to say what everyone else is saying because it doesn't help anyone reading the review but I have to say this. STOP AND GET THE MO-MOS! read more

Saw the sign "Voted #1". I was intrigued. $4.95 is a come-on, but that includes mounds of rice and one small side. $1 every side thereafter. We went the most popular items . . . the dumplings and the noodle soup and both were some of the best I've had. generally i find tibetan food to be kind of bland and basic compared to other neighboring cuisines. so i was not expecting anything mind blowing. i have been craving some momos and this place took care of it. there are tons of indian places if you want curry. but i'd definitely come here if i crave beef momos again. read more

Really tasty beef Momo (dumpling) soup. The other orders coming out while I was there looked appealing too, can't wait to go back. Free cup of chai for eat-in orders hit the spot while I was waiting. If you eat out front, though, you are very close to the cooking area, so my coat needed a washing to get the cooking smell off. read more

I love this place. It's my "go to" place when I'm running around and find myself wanting something to eat that's hearty and good. Ghutsel Rithuk with chicken is my "usual" and in the short time I've been in Boulder the owners have come to know me and what I like. I don't even have to order it anymore, they yell the order to the kitchen when they see me walk in. Don't get me wrong, I've tried just about everything on the menu. It's just that this particular dish is my favorite. I've turned others onto this place and they love it too. It is family owned and run, and I love the opportunity to support the local, small business owner. I hope they're around for a long time and become prosperous (if they're not already). Just one other note, they're noodle soups are especially good in the winter time when you want something hearty and filling. They also have a buffet for lunch. They also serve Momos, which are good, although I've had better in other cities. Still, that doesn't keep me from eating theirs. Try them out. read more

My noodle soup was exactly what I was looking for - filled with chewy hand pulled noodles and hot. And the momos (we got the combo) were super good, even the vegetarian ones. Great place if you're looking for something inexpensive. The chai was free, and you get good quality food for the price. Came here on a cold drizzly day and had the Mothuk and chicken momos. Mothuk hit the spot with a delicious broth and beef momos with tons of veggies. From the outside, Tibet Kitchen is rather unassuming with a plain facade and small parking lot, but the interior is colorful albeit quirky. The place is decorated with Tibetan flags, mini monk statues and a picture of the Dalai Lama. Blue ceiling and checkerboard floor with a cozy dining area in the back. Simple. Casual. The dumplings are delicious and seem to be cooked to order. My momo soup was rich with 7 or 8 large dumplings. Good beef flavor with green leaf veggies and a couple sliced mushrooms. Delicious. I was raving to my boss how great this place is and I was actually embarrassed to bring her back her meal; I think we both finished our "entrees" in under 6 bites. We love this place. The people are always friendly, the food always fresh and tasty, the dishes unique, the momos excellent. And it can be delivered to your door! If you want to eat in, there are only a few basic tables. However the service is not so good and on a late lunch schedule the buffet items were pretty much gone. No effort to help me out...
