I have been a patient of Ask Tia for 2 years and truly enjoy it. I joined with 2 month membership waived and was able to submit proof of income to waive the fee for a full year. I have private insurance through my job and everything is covered except my copay. Since the very first visit at the Williamsburg location, I've been hooked. The staff was so nice and offered drinks as soon as i came in. Now i love the recess drinks. The doctors all have made me feel comfortable and I've had the best visits ever. Even Pap smears are comfortable. I've never been to a doctor and felt so listened to until now and each and every provider makes me feel that way. I've also gone to the soho location and enjoyed it As well. Lastly, since I've been listened to, I've felt much more comfortable during my monthly weight management appointments. I have lost over 50 pounds in a year with the help of the great providers and the referral to Nourish for nutrition. I can't wait to reach my goal of losing another 30lbs with the help of ask Tia. read more

Tia is peak girlboss marketing nonsense verging on actively harmful to your health. Fine if you need to get a normal check up once a year, AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you have anything more complicated than a pap smear. You will never see or speak to a real doctor, only nurses who rush and don't listen to your concerns. Tia prescribed me unnecessary medication without confirming I had a condition, and the medication gave me horrific side effects. Tia's (fake?) doctors never warned me of the side effects, either. They never even followed up. Finally, their platform is impossible to use, billing is confusing, and they continued charging my subscription fee MONTHS after I cancelled. Yes the aesthetic is nice but it's at the price of anything approaching acceptable healthcare. They do not care about you, they care about the glossy, pink, empowered MONEY they are making by charging a premium for substandard care. Cannot recommend less. read more

I went in for a routine ear wax removal due to impacted ears. I've had this done several times before without issue. The doctor who saw me seemed as though it was his first time doing this and hurt me extremely badly to the point where I was screaming asking him to stop. He did not stop despite me crying and asking him to stop. To add insult to injury, he then misdiagnosed me with an ear infection, further demonstrating his incompetence. The front staff were equally unprofessional and rude, making the entire experience a nightmare. If you value your health and well-being, stay far away from this medical practice. I would give anything to go back in time and avoid this horrific experience. Do not make the same mistake I did. read more

I've truly never had a worse doctor experience in my life. This is not a doctor office, it is just a marketing company. I had a doctor write me for medical tests that the technicians couldn't understand why the doctors had written me for. The billing is also out of control, I would receive invoices for appointments from over 2 years ago (that were originally paid for) and "accidental" overcharges on my account that were never refunded. I reached out countless times to their support and never received any help. Between the terrible care and random charges, my best advice is to stay as far away as you can! read more

I joined Tia for the convenience of having a consolidated healthcare platform, but it's turned out to be the most inconvenient. Every time I've tried to schedule something, there's been a problem on their end. Just today, I showed up for an annual check up only to be told that they were incapable of drawing blood today because their "lab was down". Complete waste of my time, not to mention the fact that I had to fast prior to this visit and no one cared to tell me that wouldn't be necessary. after joining Tia a few years ago, I can attest that the quality of care, billing support, and overall experience has plummeted. My most recent appointment in November was an object lesson in provider underqualification and apathy. I left feeling like I knew more medically about my symptoms than the nurse practitioner who spent 15 minutes taking up space in the same room with me and pretended she cared. Tia had actual doctors but the company's private equity overlords refused to pay them adequately. I have dealt with very competent NPs in the past but they aren't working for Tia. I also got a slap in the face after Tia's billing team said my new insurance was in-network at Tia. Apparently, any billing agreement qualifies as "coverage," even if it's only a negotiated rate, leaving the client on the hook for the full cost of the appointment at that still-exorbitant negotiated rate. Bottom line, you are a revenue source to them and nothing else. read more

Had a great first experience at the Tia clinic and rating 5 stars solely based on that. The space is gorgeous and the staff was wonderful. I have a huge fear of doctors and needles and they were so accommodating. I have to thank Mary in particular who made my first blood draw in 5+ years beyond comfortable. Painless, quick and she went above and beyond to help me relax. It's the first time I hadn't fainted post blood draw! I will say, I've had a nightmare of a time with the virtual appointment scheduling (it was cancelled on me after I had already logged in for the appointment and after the appointment should have begun and it took weeks to be able reschedule, wasting "membership" time in month 1). I wish they had an app or an easier way to communicate but I can get past that for a clean, comfortable space and a caring staff. read more

I am glad I took the time to do my appointments in one place. I was taken care of throughout my time in TIA. I am a busy mom of twins with more than one job/career and I was relaxed and satisfied after my appointments. with the Williamsburg location the water is two blocks away so I did my medical appointments then my acupuncture appointment. I wanted to like Tia, but I've had such a horrible experience after trying to complete my annual wellness exam that I feel it's important to leave a review. Pros: - Nice and clean office - Lots of appointments/availability Cons: Tia charges a "concierge" fee. As I understand it- this fee covers things like your care coordinator, the in-app/online experience, etc. Unfortunately, my experience has not been easy and worry-free. I'll list some issues below: - After being told that my in-person wellness exam was fully covered, I was incorrectly billed for a virtual exam and received a bill from Quest for labs that I was told were covered. - During my exam, my provider said they would send two perscriptions to my pharmacy, but when I went to pick the scripts up, only one perscription was there. When I called to ask what happened, the care team said that the provider had incorrectly told me they could prescribe that medication and that I would need to make another appointment if I wanted it. I would not have know what was going on if I didn't call them directly. - Everytime I try to call the billing department, I'm sent to voicemail and have to call multiple times. The chat option does not provide the level of service that I would like when I have billing questions and concerns. While these may not seem like the most egregious errors, the amount of health anxiety the above experiences have induced has led me to choose another provider. Unfortunately, I can't get another wellness exam this year that is covered by my insurance. All in all, my experience using Tia has been disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a new provider. read more

I had a less than ideal experience at the clinic in Williamsburg in NYC most recently. The front desk receptionist Sade was not helpful, unaccommodating and overall needs more experience in managing service recovery. I was a few minutes late for a follow up appointment and I also had blood work scheduled. She marked me as a no show even though I had another appointment scheduled - did not call me to confirm my whereabouts. Her no show prompt caused me to be charged $50. When I got to the office I asked for an accommodation and she matter of factly stated there was nothing she could do. She caused me to have a more elevated blood pressure reading because she upset me so much and she made me question going back to Tia. The medical assistant Melissa was so sweet and did what she could to rectify my visit but the damage was already done by that receptionist. As someone who works in healthcare I was highly perturbed by that front desk staff member. She requires significant reeducation on customer service and what it means to provide an optimal patient experience. Kudos to Melissa for her service recovery methods. but thumbs down to Sade all the way. She is a poor representation of the Tia clinic experience. read more

I'm a new patient and went in for my first annual appointment with Tia today. They specifically market the annual appointment as very comprehensive and that you get more time with the provider than other doctor's offices, etc. That was definitely not my experience. I thought the provider was nice enough, but then she literally stood up and started to leave when we hadn't even covered my full medical history. I asked if I could ask a few questions and she said no -- that Tia has a new policy where they can only spend 20 min for an annual exam and that if I had questions I'd have to come back for another appointment. I'm not even sure she was in the room with me 20 min, but regardless it was far from thorough and an incredibly abrupt cut off. She gave no indication we were under any time pressure and that's the exact opposite of the way Tia markets itself. This would have been a disappointing interaction for any doctor's office, but especially one that charges a subscription fee for a supposedly higher level of care. read more

Tia failed to fill my regular Lexapro prescription. They refused to respond to my multiple messages through the care portal and a desperate voicemail I left them in tears to please refill and send to my pharmacy. The only way to get a human being to speak to me was by setting up a brand new mental health appointment (which I could not schedule until over a week later), costing me $50 after insurance. During this horrible time that I was begging to get my medication filled (a non-controlled substance I have been on and approved for for years), my mother passed away of stage 4 cancer. My family's cancer situation was well covered in my patient profile and known by all doctors involved in my case. While skipping out on prescriptions is irresponsible for any health practitioner, the timing of this abomination of care could not have come at a worse time in my life. Beware of Tia- the graphic design is cool and the robes are cute, but the staff is borderline incompetent and playing a very dangerous game with actual womens' health and lives. read more

I would like to write to you about my experience today with the virtual call that is "part 1" of their process. First of all, the fact that customers are expected to pay for this is so funny. This was the most pointless waste of time I have ever experienced. A 12 minute call with someone who obviously did not read the extensive health assessment Tia had me fill out before meeting with her. She literally asked me the most generic questions (that she could have seen answers to on the forms I filled out prior). When I told her I was experiencing issues with my hormones she made me feel so dumb for asking if they could be tested. She said it will be impossible to test my hormones and that my symptoms could have to do with stress or my partner. And that "tik tok and instragram" make us think testing hormones is normal. OK? Additionally, I had a procedure done last year, but she proceeded to ask me sensitive questions about the subject, No regards to it being a touchy subject (again, she didn't read my assessment). I wanted to join Tia because I am very afraid of doctors, and I was looking for a non judgmental, warm experience. Due to this 10 minute virtual appointment today, there is no way I feel comfortable stepping foot in their clinic. Let alone paying a monthly fee to be a "member". The "care" is only in their name. Just another money making enterprise in the disguise to care for the customers (women!). Tried to have my annual wellness visit and screenings. After some confusion due to online sign-up limitations and having to dress and undress 3x when in the doctors office (yes Dr xx will see you now, oh sorry she can't, oh after all she will see you now...) they charged me $55 (co-pay) for a preventative visit that should be free and fully covered by the insurance universally. When I asked for a refund (as this must have been an error) then they explained that they break down the wellness visit into three parts and guess what one of them qualifies as a doctors visit. So they can charge. Something I should have been explained when I showed up first. They basically found a way to make this free service to women into something they can charge for. Then they admit they are a new company and training stuff. Very well. Pay for their mistakes. This should be part of a business plan instead of having customers subsides your start-up like that. It is bad business practice. Communication is useless and passive aggressive: only online messages through the system and they just send messages how much they would love to help but they can't (won't). About 50 (!) emails later I asked them to cancel my membership and refund. They refused. Don't expect them to stay in business too long.- AE, New York read more
