The overall service was pretty good despite the women in our party all being given the wrong size bowling shoes and having to exchange them (the employee was calculating women's to men's conversions backwards lol). The bartender was attentive and made good cocktails. The actual bowling was what you'd expect bowling to be ... we had a good time overall as did the other customers because the place was filled with laughter and lots of birthday parties. Lastly there's a ton of parking as their lot is rather large.

The bathrooms are a disgusting mess. Often no soap is available and the place is dirty and unkempt. WHEN THERE IS NO SOAP AVAILABLE FOR SIX HOURS, IT MAKES YOU WONDER HOW THE FOOD HANDLERS WASH THEIR HAND PROPERLY. The refreshment stand was made aware of the lack of soap and yet there was no action taken to fill the dispensers. The food prices are extremely high and the food is nothing to brag about. We come here often for baseball games and it's close to our house, but I'd rather travel further to go and watch games at decent facilities. To charge an entrance fee for the above? The concept here is cool, and it has gotten slightly better over the years, but they never finished the place, the walkways are a mess and theres not enough nets. (I've been involved in softball 10+ years with two daughters so we've played everywhere, and the foul balls here are the worst) Plus they have a bunch of kids basically running things and they aren't very well trained. Speeding around in golf carts and doing a half butt job. Food is OK, a little pricey but again, its kids taking orders and serving and cooking and they need more training. Egg sandwiches always have shells in them, burgers are so-so, and i'm not sure they change the cooking oil enough. Plus lots of flies. It's just not a welcoming atmosphere. The bag checks and strip searches (exaggerating a little) and not being able to even bring my own coffee just makes me hate coming here. And for heavens sake how about some scoreboards? $10 entry fee and $8 eggshell sandwich and you cant hang scoreboards? I am more than happy to go to a dirt/grass field and watch for free with my own food and drinks.

One of a few farm breweries in central NJ. Like its neighbors Screamin' Hill and Needlecreek,…read moreBooterbeer is located on a spacious and beautiful farm in the middle of nowhere. This means there is plenty of parking. The brewery is located in a building next to the farm house. Very spacious inside with plenty of seating at the bar and other tables. Lots of games available including a foosball table. Only one bathroom. Nine beers on tap plus a hard iced tea. My girlfriend and I each had a flight and were able to sample just about the whole menu. $10 for a flight of four 5oz pours which is definitely the cheapest flight I've seen at a NJ brewery. The peanut butter stout, watermelon wheat and not so pale ale were all excellent. The peanut butter stout had a very subtle peanut butter flavor with a nice bitter aftertaste. None of that cloying sweetness found in some dessert stouts. The watermelon wheat also had a great, balanced watermelon flavor, and the not so pale ale had a nice nutty taste to it like an English brown ale. I really disliked the New Egypt hazy IPA as it tasted way too watered down and nothing like other hazy IPA's I've had. All beers - flights and full pours alike - were served in plastic cups which is a huge pet peeve of mine in breweries. The gentleman serving beer was incredibly friendly and I enjoyed briefly talking football with him (and I'll let it slide that he's a Giants fan). Overall it was a very pleasant afternoon - good beer, good conversation, the sound of the rain drumming on the roof. We will definitely come back someday.

Featuring a variety of 10 beers on tap, we enjoyed a flight with their watermelon wheat, hard tea, pina colada wheat, and the root beer pale ale. There are also non-alcoholic canned soda available along with snacks (including pooch pretzels), and you can also bring your own food. Check social media for what food truck will be on-site, any events happening, and what new brews may be on tap.
