Great place to learn and walk. Very interesting. Food vendors are totally overpriced but nice atmosphere.

There is live music, a craft, beer, garden, food trucks and crab fenders. There's a bunch of things to do for the kids. What I thought was cute was that you can kiss a pet for a dollar I believe it's the first weekend of every October.

Such is the humble beginnings of Allentown New Jersey, halfway between New York & Philadelphia. This was all before Snookie & MTV trashed all things Jersey and created late night TV fodder for all those talking heads, despite the fact that those Jersey Shore invaders were not Jerzee natives. In 1706 Nathan Allen bought much of the farmland and built 3 mills and the area was known as Allen's Town, and morphed into today's Allentown. George Washington slept here on his way to Crossing the Delaware. That building is still on Main St. So many historical little goodies for you history buffs. Now, for the fest right on Main St. The 2nd weekend of October every year. The weather makes all the difference, ... get a nice sunny day and you can take in all the charm of this lively little town and enjoy and stuff your face with your favorite Jersey tasty treat. Pork roll-n-cheese, sausage-n-peppers, sweet local corn, Fried clams/clam rolls, Zeppoles (Jersey's fried dough with powdered sugar, so bad and soooo good) and then every local restaurant sets up shop to show off their signature dishes. When you're done prepare to roll out smiling with a satisfied pallet! The Civil War reenactment in the adjacent park is very well done and Nerdvana for us History geeks :-) Definitely a cool stop on fall day!

For singles, go by your course. Ample picnic tables for seating. I like communal tables because you get to meet all kinds of people with all kinds of stories. Very family friendly. Only thing I didn't like was that the performances were held indoors and if you wanted to immerse yourself in the Greek art and dancing, it was a super tight squeeze. Also, they needed more bathroom facilities or porta potties. The lines for those were ridiculous!

TLDR: Great friendly festival of mostly food. The grilled meats were amazing. Im looking forward to…read morecoming again next year! Bring cash. Saw a lot of signs on the road, so we decided to stop in. The festival is made up of many food stands, a couple jewelry/ gift stands, and performances put on by youth on the stage. Like others mentioned, you get in line to buy a ticket for your food item(s), and then you get in another line(s) to pick up the food. Lines were a bit long but fast on Friday evening. We got the: - Greek Loukaniko - grilled sausage with bread - 5 Pack Pork Souvlaki - skewered pork kebabs with bread - Greek fries - fries with salt and oregano - Loukoumades Krispy puffs generously coated with honey and sprinkled with cinnamon and sesame seeds The Loukaniko and Pork Souvlaki were both wonderfully seasoned and beautifully charred. It looked like a lot of meat, but the bright lemon flavor shone through making the dishes easy to eat. The Loukaniko had a hint of sweetness and a distinct spice blend that I haven't had outside Greek cuisine. The crisp char on the Souvlaki was the first texture and flavor I noticed. The pieces of pork were juicy and generous. These two flavorful grilled meats were easily my favorite items that we ordered. The bread they came with was soft and nice to have but nothing special. The Fries were reminiscent of cafeteria fries, but these were slightly limp. They had decent flavor and did a good job accompanying the rest of the meal. I wouldn't eat them without other food. The Loukoumades were fried to order. You must eat them hot - eat them while you're walking (with a fork) if you have to! The shatteringly crisp fried dough were warm vessels of honey and cinnamon. The first few we ate were delicious, but they started to feel oily and a little too sweet after cooking a bit. Share them and eat fast! We watched the youth dance performance while we ate. I'm not too familiar with Greek culture, but the show was a pleasure to watch. Great job! Next year I want to try some of the indoor food options - they all looked amazing. Tip: $2 entry fee per person in cash - bring cash as some vendors don't take card; if you come in a group split up when lining up for food to have everything at the same time

"We are a real working farm; we have activities that I used to do when I was a child. This is not…read morea fall festival." This above statement couldn't be any more factual. This place is a REAL farm, operating since 1860, and is simply magical. You will find only the most wonderfully friendly staff, the most sincere pumpkin patch that Linus would be proud of, and a memorable day outside in the beauty of nature and what makes farm life, farm life. For $5 per person, you are covered for a hay ride to and from the pumpkin patch. A REAL pumpkin patch; not just pumpkin purchased and thrown in a field with straw. Like, maybe bring a small knife to cut these babies free to take home with you! The ride around was super cute with how they decorated the property (I won't completely spoil it for you!) and allowed you to take in the little changes in fall foliage peeking out. For $8 per person, you get access to pick your own flowers for $1 per sunflower and $0.50 per other flower variations, as well as a corn pit, tractor tire tower, obstacle course, basketball hoops, slides, and more. Our 4 year old absolutely had a BALL in the corn kernel pit and the slides really tested his bravery. You could tell the vibe was less about posing for the most perfect photo and more about just being together with family and friends. The two food trucks on location had responsibly prices pork rolls, hot dogs, apple cider donuts and drinks, whereas if you wanted to splurge and be a foodie, they had a BBQ food truck as well. Again, wonderfully friendly staff and the hot dogs have been approved by my toddler. Cash is much appreciated here, even though they do accept credit cards. This is OUR farm now and I can't wait to come back before the end of the season!

The kids had a blast with all the activities, there was bowling, basketball, 3 corn mazes, a few playgrounds for the kids to climb on and a bunch of corn pits. Make sure to check out the pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin, the ride is so nice and it's great to go to a patch where you can pick it off the vine. Pro tip- Get the apple cider donuts early the line can get long Pro tip- bring lawn chairs and extra snacks for the brewery next door

There are crafters, vendors, food, and definitely plenty of drinks. The cornerstone of this event in my opinion is the costume contest. People go all out for this and it's really a sight to see! Every year it seems to attract more and more visitors. For this reason, I hope they get better at accommodating more visitors as it took an inordinate amount of time this year to get a drink. But it is still a blast and shouldn't be missed by the Halloween enthusiasts in the greater Philadelphia area!

If you're on a date, you'll probably want to make a reservation at the spooky Robin's Nest Restaurant at the opening of the outdoor festival, before meandering through the creepy, dark streets brimming with interesting characters. If you're on a friend date, you may want to avoid the intimate restaurant and head straight to the beer garden, the creepy teddy bear shop, or the ghost hunter store. Or, of course, the VooDoo Bar. Like the others have said, do NOT bring your kids here. You're ruining it for everyone when you do that crap. Two downfalls (aside from the kid infestation) of the event: -Lack of bathrooms -Lack of food vendors I stood in a line for some beautiful porta potties for what felt like a really-really long time. The guy behind me in line kept drunkenly yelling at the people in the stalls... as if they really wanted to take their time and enjoy themselves in there or something. After finally relieving myself, I then spent an absurd amount of time waiting for some chicken tenders. Get some more food vendors and bathroom options, Witches Ball, and you're golden. See you next year!

They really pack a lot into the day's events. They close down the entire Main Street and set up food and craft vendors everywhere. Ice sculptures are everywhere, including live ice carving. They also have a lot of special events like dog sledding demonstrations, colonial cooking demonstrations, a wandering band of gentlemen and gentle ladies singing old timey colonial songs, and rides in Mt. Holly's fire trucks for the kids. Parking can be tricky, especially if you're not familiar with the area. We always get there early right when the festival opens and there is plenty of street parking outside of the old prison on High Street. This is a really fun event as a great way to embrace the cold of January and enjoy time outside supporting local establishments.

Not to mention the ice sculptures that are created there. The sculptures were a lil 1D, a few were more in the 2D but it was a bit warmer that carving the ice looked really wet. Good to see the local bizs having lots of traffic in their stores. I got to go to a few stores that I normally don't frequent but have wanted to check out (Olive Oil bar, Sweet Spot, Crystal place). For a cool $3, you could sample & help judge the winners in the Chili cook off. There were sledding dogs, a petting zoo, aerial acrobatics, historical figure reenactments, & various different food trucks on hand. Weather was nice (...as it could be in Jan) & cooperated, not super cold but temps did drop as it got later in the afternoon. We had a chance to sit outside and enjoy our funnel cake (thank you, Boy Scouts!). Lots of foot traffic up & down High Street/Mill Street. Good vibe overall. Overall, we had a great time @ the festival. They extended it a lil further down past the MIll Race shops and on the side streets as well. Good amount of people who came out this year. Parking stinks & you have to circle round a few times if you wait later to go, like what we did. Luckily, parking is free in Mount Holly. Great event for families & even just your friends. But local is the way to go. I look forward to going again next year & enjoying even more vendors!
