Great location. Make sure to ask Troy for some music and create a dance party while picking your blueberries!

I had a great time at my most recent trip to Haines Berry Farm. You can choose to pick your own…read moreblueberries ($2.50/lb) or purchase a 10lb box of pre-picked blueberries ($25). There is a tractor pulling a wagon you can jump on to be transported to the back of the farm and work your way back to the entrance. The blueberries are gorgeous and plump; the bushes are so laden with berries that some of them actually are bent by the weight of the blueberries. The farm also sells blueberry jams and syrups, which I thought was a nice touch. I would have loved some blueberry ice cream to cool down with, but I did pick up a small jar of blueberry mustard ($6) that I'm really excited to try out. There is a small picnicking area but I would not recommend eating there because that is where the tractor loads and unloads visitors so there's a lot of dust.

They have a tractor to take you out into the field. He was very helpful on making recommendations on the type of blueberries. They give you a little bucket which you can tie around your waist to pick the blueberries and a big bucket to dump them into. The blueberries are 2.50 per pound to pick them. when you're ready to check out, there is also blueberry, honey ,blueberry toppings, blueberry pie, and jams. This will definitely be a tradition!

Everything was clean, organized, and family-friendly (including the bathrooms, which as parents we definitely appreciate!). The owners and staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to love what they do. Our kids had an absolute blast picking fresh strawberries, meeting the animals, and riding on the tractor, which ended up being one of the highlights of the day! The market was another pleasant surprise, full of fun snacks, treats, and unique items to browse. This place offers so much more than just fruit picking. It really feels like a full family experience. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a fun, well-run day outdoors!

Tip: Buy your entry tickets online -- it's cheaper than getting them at the gate! This place runs on a "park-and-pick" setup, meaning you'll drive to different spots around the farm for each activity. Apple picking is by bag size, not by the pound -- the smallest bag was $7.50 and fit about 10-12 apples. It was hot the day we went, so we stuck to apple picking and cooled off at the marketplace afterward (skipped the maze and sunflowers). The cider and donuts were just okay compared to other farms I've been to, but the apple cider slush? Totally addictive (even if it's $9 -- ouch). Once the sun eased up later in the afternoon, we stopped by to see the goats and chickens and hopped on the hay ride -- the perfect cozy ending to the day.

April 12th 2025 We drove from Lebanon, CT to pick up 30+ blueberry plants and blackberry plants today. We choose him over the other place in town, simply, a better vibe on the phone, we called ahead. 4 Hour Drive! WORTH IT! Phone call a week before, ready to answer questions, no need to make a reservation, "Just call me a 1/2 hour out" Bill said. Professional advice etc! Today, I was expecting to pick up plants, talk a little and head home. Not only answered all of our questions, asked what we were doing, our plans etc, full tour of everything, met his mom, , talked to one of his sons, showed us around, gave tips, his employees were awesome and knowledgeable. This IS his passion. For or some it is a job, for him he absolutely loves what he does! No minimums, extremely gracious, kind. Bill, if you see this, THANK YOU SO MUCH. We will send pics when we get them planted! I rarely do reviews, this one though, Blueberry Bill is one I needed to do.

I used our beach buckets instead of the provided ones since they were smaller and easier for the kids. There were rows and rows of fresh, plump, and sweet blueberries. We had a lot of fun collecting them, and sampling the staff under the tent was friendly and welcoming. Tons of parking and not crowded. I messed up and didn't bring enough cash, this is a cash only set up. Luckily there was a Wawa near by and my husband hit the ATM and grabbed us lunch. I would definitely come back to Bills.
