Nice bowling alley. Great for birthday parties or a big group. Very chilled vibe with music and loud conversations. It is a bowling alley that's super fun. Chicken tenders and fries are extremely good! Pizza is mediocre. Wraps are delicious. Service for food is a tad slow and they had a hard time keeping up with our party. We had six lanes all next to each other with preplanned food orders. Parking is not great. There's construction going on so you have to walk to get to entrance on side; not ideal for handicap individuals like myself. There's a parking lot but not convenient. read more

We enjoyed the Halloween event. The Pizza tasted great. Neither of us had bowled in a long time and the electronic control was really cool. We were used to keeping score with a pencil and paper. The lanes were well kept and when our daughter experienced an issue with one of the gutter bumpers not coming up a staff member came right over and fixed it in minutes. We had a great time. What a great time today at Thunderbird Lanes (Warminster) with the kids. They run a great promo for "Kids Bowl Free" for the Summer and the Glennon and Sullivan kids had an absolute blast. My family and I went here for a special promotion, Bowling with Santa. It was $75, and you got a lane for up to 6 people for 3 hours, a pitcher of soda, shoe rental, and a picture with Santa. The bowling alley was totally filled so it was busy. However, the staff stayed on top of everything. The food was what you would expect at a bowling alley. The pizza was made there and not frozen which is good. I stay low carb, so I did not have any myself, but my family said it tasted good and was hot. The staff was responsive and friendly, and took care of issues when you asked. For example, one of my kids wanted bumpers, and they quickly accomadated. The promotion was a good deal. We had lots of fun, and it was nice getting out of the house. We are all vaccinated and have boosters so the lack of COVID protocols did not matter to us. However, if you are more risk aversive, it is probably good to know that there are any protocols in place. Reviews looked good and my fiancé and I were in town so decided to bowl. Show up and ask if any lanes are open and the lady behind the counter was obviously annoyed and asked if we had a reservation which we did not. She rolled her eyes and basically berated us for not making a reservation and I suggested we could leave ( obviously weren't wanted here) and she magically had a lane for us. Last I checked, there were several Thunderbird Lanes locations: in northeast Philadelphia, Willow Grove, and Warminster. There may be more - or less - now, thanks to the tanking economy. I've only been to the Warminster one. They've got an arcade, and I think they even have a pool table or two, but we all know I could have hallucinated that since that was years ago but now the doctors say I'm okay but it's tough to tell reality apart from not-reality, know what I mean? (Of course you do.) Obviously, we all go to bowling alleys to bowl (at least I do), and Thunderbird Lanes is a good all-around bowling alley. It's clean, inexpensive, and has plenty of room - not only ample parking, but room to handle a crowd - and it DOES get crowded, thanks to their triptastic laser light show offering. read more

I'm a frequent customer at this bowling alley. I recently went there and tried to order a chicken finger platter. They didn't have any chicken fingers so they gave me buffalo wings without the sauce and fries. When my order came, the wings were hard as rocks and I was only given maybe a half of a handful of fries. When I brought it back to the snack bar I was informed that they have to now weigh their food. For $10 I feel this was a big rip off and I would never order from the snack bar again. read more

Today was my first time stopping in Thunderbird Lanes in Warminster Square. I've been up in the Warrington/Warminster area before plenty of times and drove by Thunderbirds Lanes a few times, but I never had the opportunity to stop in until now. It wasn't too hard to find even at night because of the signs outside pointing around the building to the entrance. Not surprisingly 9PM on a Saturday night was pretty crowded to get a lane and the bar was pretty crowded too, which is pretty awesome as many bowling alleys near me do not have a bar. The prices for bowling seemed fair too. Bowling was pretty fun, the food was decent, and the bathrooms seemed pretty neat so I would like to come back in the future sometime when I'm in the area! read more

Called in today to see if lanes were available and was able to place a reservation. Showed up and paid the $70 for 3 bowlers and 1 pair for 2 hours. With being a league and tournament bowler you understand open bowling is just that, open. We walk down to our lane and it's crowded around us which is fine. We get ready and put our equipment on the rack and that is when everything went down hill. The approaches were so damn tacky it felt like I was still wearing sneakers and the lanes looked like they haven't seen oil since winter leagues ended. After almost rolling my ankle 3 times from the massively tacky approaches we packed our bags and left after playing 1 game. 70 dollars is a lot of money for the absolutely horrid lane conditions that were there. Only reason the review is 2 stars is because at least the rest of the alley was nice and clean. I rather go bowling on asphalt then come back here for open play again. read more

Couldn't believe it, but we were able to get a lane on a Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. without any wait. The bowling alley is pretty clean, and the lanes were in good shape. Oftentimes, I go to bowling alleys where there are quite a few lanes broken down, so this was nice to have everything seem to be in good order. My only real gripe is that there were hardly any 10lb balls to be found. Tons and tons of 8lb balls, and quite a few 14lb balls, none of which would work for me. The staff was helpful and friendly and the overall vibe of this bowling alley was great. I look forward to returning. read more

Overall experience good enough. Place is clean. Has a nice little bar and other amenities. Not a great selection of house bowling balls. Very small actually. The most off-putting thing about the place is the customer service. Behind the counter is one man who probably owns the place along with several kids. Good luck getting help from one of the kids other than fetching shoes, etc. The man answers all other questions, however he always seems to be tied up on the phone. I assembled a group of 9 family members for my wife's birthday. Paid over $100. Noticed he made mention of someone's else's birthday during our event on the PA. I immediately went to his desk to ask him if he'd give a birthday shout out to my wife as well. He looked at me and rolled his eyes and murmured something under his breath. Never a mention. The alleys are clean and machines work well, so can't complain, but I try to exhaust every other rainy/hot day option before I come here. read more

So this is my 3rd trip, and let me Say it's awful. People were vaping inside of the alley. The desk attendant didn't care about anything I said or asked for example my ball got stuck, and after the 5th time of me going up there he finally called someone. The bathrooms were disgusting. The new ownership and management have done so much to upgrade this place. It doesn't look like much on the outside (main sign was damaged in a storm), but inside new furniture, upgraded bar and bistro restaurant. Much expanded menu; awesome food and the best pizza anywhere around. The lanes have been improved too, so the bowling is much more consistent. read more

Couldn't be more dissatisfied. We had our oldest son's birthday here back in December and half of the arcade games were broken, including the token machine, along with several other service issues. This afternoon we attended two separate birthday parties and nothing has changed. Further, the front desk didn't have any tokens for the few operable games at the arcade, all of the pizza for both the parties was extremely late, and my wife went to the bathroom where there was no toilet paper. The staff mostly stood around looking confused. No idea how this place stays in business. On the door there is a sign that says "don't flush anything but toilet paper" fine okay, most places have that but most places have a trash can where I can place my sanitary products. This is what I'm looking for in a bowling alley. Lane was nice and oiled, so my ball hooked consistently all night (shot my all time high score). They have a bar with decent prices, they have a snack bar with the standard fried foods. I was impressed most with the lanes (because that's what I care most about), although I did take a star off because the radar guns didn't really seem that accurate.
