Great arcade, old school like from the 80s kinda like a time hop of sorts. But the kids love it and so do I. It's a good deal you can buy a package with however much time you think you will need. Great games, tons of pin balls which is a favorite of mine. The kids really have a great time here. I mean sure it isn't like their games today but this is still pretty awesome. You just pay and play one time. They give you a beeper and it let's you know when you are out of time. No need for coins or tokens. Great for our family fun day.

We were invited to a birthday party here so it was our first time visiting and it was awesome! The kids had a great time and it was like a trip down memory lane for me! I explained to these youngins that it was how our games used to look and we would often hang out at arcades, ahhh the nostalgia/memories. We were given wrist bands for the kids and they were off to play. It's great for birthdays and family fun days! The mystery family will definitely be stopping in to have a family fun day! The mystery kids absolutely loved it. Protect our arcades at all cost, they're a dying breed!!

We had my son's 10th birthday party at The Game is Afoot Arcade and it was phenomenal. The employees are very attentive and kind. They made sure every need was met. The games are very fun and well-maintained. The arcade, bathrooms, and party room are extremely clean. Every parent who dropped off their kids were amazed at how great the Arcade is! We will definitely be back, and will be booking another party here for adults!

This is a cool little place which will likely get even better soon. Its small, but expansion is underway which will make it much bigger with many more games. Right now it has a great selection of games with most of them being on Game is Afoot console emulators. The emulators have a menu which let you chose between actual classic arcade consoles, and all the systems from when you grew up - Atari, NES, SNES, Sega, Turbo Grafix etc. It also has all the fun 4 player arcade games like TMNT, X-men, Streets of Rage etc. Your first visit you will spend a lot of time just browsing through the menus. I recommend having a plan of some classic games you want to play ahead of time, so you can go straight to them once your hour is ticking. This is especially helpful if you are bringing small kids who have never played these old school games. Otherwise you will spend a lot of time browsing and trying to pick games they can keep up with. Currently the rates are $12/hour with unlimited credits on all games. You get a stamp card and for every 10 hours you get one hour free. I'd give it a 3.5 stars, but will round up to 4 trusting that the expansion will make it better.

Awesome arcade hidden away as a store-front. EVERY game imaginable in every platform. Clean, safe, and family-friendly. Staff (Stephen) knowledgeable and friendly. Unbelievably cheap!!! You will most certainly have a GREAT time!

Ask the Community - The Game Is Afoot Arcade

Is this place wheelchair accessible? Also what's the age the games start at?

It is wheelchair accessible, from what I remember and the games are for all ages! There's a kung fu panda game that just involves hitting a bongo. So other games are for more "mature" audiences

The girl working the front was very friendly and explained everything to us. Their games conveniently operate on a card system that you can add credits to. They had a mix of retro arcade games, pool tables, GP Moto Racing, pinball machines, several crane games, skee ball, air hockey, foosball, basketball games, a jukebox, Photo Booth, punching bag, shooting games and more. For $20 each my kids received enough credits to play almost all of the games and time with the crane games. The crane games had prizes and candy in them. There was a stage area for multi-player games, but the Olympics were on the 10 foot screen at the time. They also had a lounge area with a TV and board games. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. We were happy to see this arcade come to the area. It provided a much needed break from the heat while walking around New Hope-Lambertville! Thanks guys and best of luck!!

I've been going here since it opened and don't even need a card to enjoy the place. I definitely recommend if you are in the Lambertville/New hope area. Lanes were not cheap and are very limited because more than 75% of the lanes are being repaired. They were even working on them on a Saturday night which was a little distractive while trying to focus on getting your ball down the lane. The lanes were unique and that the pins odd strings on them and that's how the pins were reset. My least favorite thing about the bowling alley was that when the balls were returned, they came at a high speed and if your fingers were in the wrong place or you were trying to get a ball at that time, you could really injure your fingers getting them pinched between balls. I included a video of how quickly the ball sneaks up and how concerning this would be especially if a child was playing. During our game, we ordered food and non alcoholic drink drinks from the bar. This is a BYOB so you can bring whatever you want to drink and they do have some mixers that you can buy if you don't bring your own. The food didn't get great reviews. There was one bartender and unfortunately she wasn't there about 50% of the time. There were often periods of time no one was behind the bar for periods long enough that I had to return for my turn to bowl. The video games are expensive. I bought a $20 card and was shocked to see how quickly it ran through. I personally didn't opt for the glow mini mini golf but that did look fun. My favorite activity was the bumper cars. Be warned, some of them do fully invert! I feel like Dave and Busters at Franklin Mills provides a better bowling arcade interaction and has better food and bar services. This place really felt designed to cater to children rather than adults and children. I didn't have a bad time but I would probably not return to this location.

First of all, I think the price is a bit high for the little it includes. I think it was $12 per kid (adults free) but all that gets you is access to the climbing/slide area. You have to buy a card for all the games, rides and other activities. However, it was nice to let our kids run around for a bit, although of course they didn't want to spend time in the climbing area when there were games and other attractions all around. One other nice thing is you can leave and come back all day long. We choose to grab lunch elsewhere and come back for some more fun. Don't think I would be back but happy it was available when we needed somewhere to go!

There were other attractions but I didn't make note although I do recall that there was a basketball court and free standing gaming consoles. What I liked most is that there are private areas to gather in. Also, I did try the pizza, wings and fries - they weren't anything special but they were good... My favorite part of the experience was the customer service - every associate that I interacted with was friendly, professional and most importantly, helpful!
