In recent years, a private equity venture called Black Bear Sports Group has bought up local rinks…read moreand elected to run them into the ground. This place is one of their unfortunate victims. Prices for public skating are ridiculous. It's $16 a person. There is no kids price. The ice is unacceptable. There is a noticeable groove all the way around the boards and a good 3 inch dip where the Zamboni comes out. It's very dangerous, but they don't seem to care. Speaking of dangerous, they don't appear to employ a single skate guard for supervision. I've seen people do ludicrously unsafe things here. Parents, there may be no one at the Skate Zone to tell you this, so I'm telling you now: Don't skate around with your kids on your shoulders! The only plus is that the individual employees I've dealt with have all been very nice. I don't think they're any happier being employed by Black Bear than I am paying Black Bear.

The facility is top notch and the activities were well thought through and appropriately modeled by instructors. It is important to state that this is a professional gym so the party has to be structured. It is important that parents help with behavior management and help keeping kids in the correct area and following the rotations. This is not a free for all trampoline park, but the overall experience is much more fun.

This place is sus...as in suspect…read more Your looking at decent wait times for your chance to race on a race track and the controls have attention warnings that mean you have to slow down....legit the system will override you and you will stall out. I personally hate that shit, if I am being a fool I would like the opportunity to hit the wall and learn for my self. Another mention that I have to detail is legit the bathroom was one of the worst kept bathrooms I have ever seen. It looks like a bathroom out of your high school but never attended to. The arcade looks fairly decent however my nephews that attempted to have some fun at the arcade said most of the games were out of order. Although I personally enjoyed myself as this was a new experience racing a go-kart I have to advise you should go to a different spot for this activity. We initially wanted to go to Arnold's Fun Center in Oaks, PA to race but they recently changed the hours and that is why we ended up at this location. Also, be careful if you pay in cash as I received the wrong change and they had to get the manager involved in how to break a $100 dollar bill. If you do choose to pay credit card they will charge you an added fee btw. As always people SYOY!!!

If not, other people will be apart of your race. The food options are CRAPPY. Definitely eat before you go. They have a couple of "arcade" games for kids but they are definitely out of date. The rock climbing wall was closed when I went. Not sure if it's a seasonal thing or not. There is a one membership fee when you sign up. Not really beneficial if you don't plan on going multiple times a year. Overall, this place needs some updates if it wants to keep people coming. There are more fun places to go.

This place is a complete money grab. The instructors generally consist of guys that played high…read moreschool ball or small D3. The big rumor is that ownership is looking to sell the business to private equity and continue to push pricing. It is a business, so I don't fault them for trying to push profits. However, the quality of the instruction and the resumes of the instructors don't sync up with the costs. They do not make cuts on their travel teams and put kids that have no business playing travel ball on the field, resulting in very poor results. They preach they are most concerned about attitude and effort but the reality is that is just an excuse because most of their youth teams get smoked in the tournaments. Their Futures program for high school kids is actually really good and they take that seriously because they want to get players signed for college so they can tout that to their customers. However, those players come from all over the region and many have never been All Star customers. So, if your son is truly an elite high school player, All Star Futures is a good thing but if your son is a young player between 8-14 I would not waste your time or money. There are more economical and better player development options in the area.
