Addressing my situation After a heart attack in 2020, I went through several weeks of cardiac rehab, and I knew I would need to find a way to continue my exercise program. Fortunately I found True Fitness. I spoke with one of the owners, Gina, and I explained my situation. Gina set me up with a trial month, then a standard membership, and I started attending group sessions. I continue to be amazed at the amount of personal attention each member gets during each workout. The other owner, Ryan, is super knowledgable and has taken a personal interest in setting me up with a workout routine with my condition in mind. After six months of attending True Fitness, I feel better, stronger and healthier than I have been in years. We had the worst customer service experience here. This business feels extremely money-driven, with…read morelittle regard for the well-being of its students. I signed up my four kids in February '25, but unfortunately, my 13 year old son suffered a serious injury in March '25 and was hospitalized at Phoenix Children's Hospital for 17 days. His recovery required months of physical therapy and follow-up appointments, and he wasn't medically cleared until October '25. Because of this, I reached out to Matt Numrich and his wife Stephanie right away to request cancellation, knowing we wouldn't be able to participate for a long time. I was told that wasn't an option due to the contract, and we were still required to pay $596 per month regardless of attendance. During this already difficult time, payments that didn't go through immediately were met with repeated texts and emails about declined charges. There was no willingness to pause, adjust, or show any flexibility despite our situation. We fulfilled the full one-year contract but did not step foot back in the dojo after March '25. They received every payment, yet showed no compassion or consideration during a very challenging season for our family. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The approach here feels more focused on money than on supporting their students. If I could give them a ZERO, I would!!!!! They don't deserve the 1 star!!!

I found that she pushes you just past your comfort zone and knows when to modify a routine to meet your personal needs. Laura modifies the workouts so no two are the same which makes it not boring, because you never know what to expect. Her preparation goes beyond your time with her. Knowing that I would be traveling and want to keep up with my progress, she wrote out a routine requiring no special equipment that could be done anywhere. Where it comes to nutrition, Laura encourages the use of an app to count calories, fat, carbs, and protein. This was quite helpful. I will rely on her in the future for her enthusiastic encouragement and support.
